Stampin’ Up! Dear Doily Inlaid Embossing!

Posted on April 23, 2019 by Carol Payne

Hey there! Happy one month Anniversary to Troy & Grace! It's hard to believe, after all of the months of waiting for their wedding day, they've been married a month!

Today I have another card created with the Butterfly Beauty dies from the Beauty Abounds bundle and sentiments from Hello Doily:

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique with the butterfly cut-out and the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this look. See my instruction handout at the end of this post for the full details of this technique!

Inside I used the bloom spray from Beauty Abounds and a sentiment from Dear Doily.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds!

Posted on April 22, 2019 by Carol Payne

Hey there! Happy Monday after Easter! We had a lovely family time yesterday after church with a big family dinner and an egg hunt with the grands. We postpone the first moving until after Easter so there are plenty of grass "nests" to hide our eggs! Now we can mow! lol!

Today's share was created with the Occasions Catalog Beauty Abounds bundle. I started with a Whisper White Thick card base layered with Whisper White embossed with the Layered Leaves folder:

I stamped "thanks" from Beauty Abounds with black ink, punched with the Classic Label Punch twice to get the shorter greeting strip. I punched another Classic Label from Highland Heather, then cut in half to "stretch" and layer behind the greeting. I colored Silver Baker's Twine with a Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend to match.

I cut Highland Heather with the Butterfly Beauty die; adhering with tiny dots of liquid glue.

Inside:

The Beauty Abounds bundle will carryover to the new Annual Catalog, but if you wait to buy the 10% discount will be gone.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Cheer Pop-Out Card!

Posted on April 18, 2019 by Carol Payne

Hey there! Today is my regular "Coffee & Cards" class at the Cozy Table Restaurant in Benton, IL. We make two cards for $5 or free with a $20 Stampin' Up! order. One of the cards we will make today uses the retiring Birthday Cheer Bundle from the Occasions Catalog:

I love the font and sentiments in this set!

Right now the Stitched Shapes Framelit I used to cut out the gift are listed on the Discontinued List, but they will be back in the New Annual Catalog! I added a Heart Epoxy Droplet over the Lovely Lipstick-colored heart.

Inside is a riot of sentiments, balloons, and pop-out presents! Unfortunately, the dies to cut out the presents are already sold out. Just the stamps are still available, but this set and this card is so cute I just had to share it with you!

Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Retiring List is Here!

Posted on April 16, 2019 by Carol Payne

Hey there! Stampin' Up! posted the Retiring List for the Annual and Occasions Catalogs yesterday afternoon, and with just about any Retiring List, there are always some big questions and possible glitches, so I decided to wait until this morning to post about it.

The big change Stampin' Up! has been working on since the beginning of January is to eliminate wood-mount and clear-mount red rubber stamps; converting all red rubber to a new attachment medium called "cling". Cling is far superior to the previous clear-mount because it has a stickiness built in to the picture sticker you put on the back of the stamp. Cling stamps are still the high quality red rubber Stampin' Up! has been famous for during the 30 years they've been in business!

Stampin' Up! will no longer carry any wood-mount red rubber stamps, with the exception of a few background stamps in North America.

Stampin' Up! will continue to offer some stamp sets in the high quality clear photopolymer too.

Here's a little video from Stampin' Up! with more info about Cling-mount stamps:

When you look at the retiring list it may look as if almost ALL of the stamps in the current catalogs are retiring, but they are not. Many sets are merely being "reconfigured" into "cling" mount.

To see the most accurate form of the Retiring List, including pictures, simply go to my online store to view:

http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Just scroll down a little bit when you get there to find the list link on the right hand side.

use Host Code: BHCHEQJS

Any order placed in my online store through April 30th will receive this Birthday Cheer easel card from me. Birthday Cheer and the coordinating Framelits are no longer available as a bundle because the framelits are already sold out!
