Stampin’ Up! Painter’s Palette Pop of Paradise!

Hey there! I'm home for the summer! Last day babysitting for Liam and Darcy was yesterday! I will miss kissing their little faces everyday, but I will see them every Sunday, and before I get too comfortable hanging (and stamping!) at home it will be August 15 and school will be starting again!

Today I is the final card in my Pop of Paradise/Easel Fold series. I have a new box of goodies I ordered last week; those pretty new stamps are calling me to play!

For today's card I combined Painter's Palette with Pop of Paradise, using a masking technique to keep stamping on the easel.

I used my favorite color combo of Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo and Emerald Envy again, but added in splatters of embossed gold for extra pizazz!

I used the same layering technique for the easel-stop, cutting up punched Basic Black and Melon Mambo Decorative Labels to layer behind the sentiment.

Another simple technique is to stamp a color once and then stamp again and again without re-inking to achieve multiple shades of the same color.

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Pink Paradise!

Hey there! I'm back again with another Pop of Paradise easel card with the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper! This popular paper went on back order even before the new Catalog went live last week! But don't worry, you can still order it and it will ship out after June 13!

There are lovely PINK! designs in the Pop of Pink Specialty pack, including gold-embossed sheets, but I chose this simple black, white, and Melon Mambo print to let the Melon Mambo-stamped flamingo POP!

I did another Easel fold. 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4", then a layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8", followed by layers 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", and 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".

I stamped the Painter's Palette easel directly on the designer paper, then stamped the flamingo, greeting, and leaf on Whisper White. After cutting out with a Layering Squares Framelit, I added it to the center of the easel with SNAIL. Rhinestones and a black-stamped "push-pin" that I hand-cut with my snips and adhered with just a tiny piece of a dimensional finish off the front.

The Painter's Palette sentiment is punched with the Decorative Label punch and framed with Melon Mambo and Basic Black Decorative Labels that were cut, trimmed, and adhered to the back with SNAIL.

I just LOVE Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Basic Black, and Emerald Envy together!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day by the Mams!

Hey there! It's Sunday, the day I get to share swaps with you! yay!

Today's swaps were created by my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers! Our swap theme for May was Kid's Cards!

First, Joanne Cantrell used Playful Pals to create a larger-than-life teddy bear with a Bow Builder Punch bow tie!

Next, Linda Reaney used the Swirly Bird Bundle for her sailboat card:

Cathy Lingle used circle punches and Build a Birthday for her Lego card.

Angela Black used new Emerald Envy paper and Playful Palette Designer Paper to punch balloons with the Balloon Bouquet Punch. She added a number from Number of Years and Large Number Framelits. The sentiment is punched with the Duet Banner punch.

Janice Felty used the Owl Builder Punch to create these funky little monsters. Even the arms are cut from the owl body with owl feet for hands!

Lisa Cavitt used No Bones About It for her "etch a sketch" creation!

Finally, Bridget Willis also used No Bones About It for her Magic Slider Card:
