Stampin’ Up! Year in Review for a Happy New Year!
IHey there and Happy 2018! I have my "Stampin' in the New Year" Birthday Card Stamp a Stack starting this morning, but before everyone arrives I want to finish up my "year in review" for 2017. Today I'm starting with July 2017 and working my way to the end of the year showcasing my favorite creations from the year!
First, I combined the Eastern Medallions Thinlets Dies with the Daisy Delight stamp set to create this bold-but-soft thank you card. Here's the link to the July 3rd post: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/07/stampin-up-eastern-medallions-daisy-delight.html
I stamped a flock of Fabulous Flamingos for this blog post: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/07/stampin-up-a-flock-of-fabulous-flamingos.html
This Swirly Bird Christmas card was my favorite one we made at my Christmas in July class! Check it out here: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/07/stampin-up-swirly-bird-christmas.html
Another favorite Christmas card I created was with the Carols of Christmas set. This set is retiring and will no longer be available after tomorrow! Here's the blog post link: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/07/stampin-up-carols-of-christmas.html
I CASED this card from an old swap using the Grown with Love Bundle. See the full post HERE.
I used Sheltering Tree with the Sheet Music background stamp to create the sympathy card found HERE.
I combined High Tide with the Colorful Seasons Bundle to create the Double z-Fold card in this blog post: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/08/stampin-up-colorful-seasons-double-z-fold.html
In August I had the privilege of presenting at a stamping meeting of demonstrators in Champaign, IL. This ornament was my last-minute inspiration, Night in Bethlehem with the Cracked Glass technique! Read all about it HERE.
A favorite-but-retiring bundle from the Holiday Catalog, Christmas Quilt! I used Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, also retiring January 2nd, with the Cat Punch (not retiring) to create this easel card. Find more details HERE.
I explored an oldie-but-goodie technique, Faux Silk, in THIS POST with the Count My Blessings set:
I used the Painted Harvest set (which is not retiring) to create this adorable hedgehog Christmas card. Get all of the info here: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/10/stampin-up-painted-harvest-christmas-hedgehog.html
Smitten Mittens is another retiring bundle I had fun playing with! Check out one of the three cards I created with this set HERE.
As you have probably figured out by now, I love techniques! I used the Direct Stamping on your embossing folder technique for this card with the retiring Season Like Christmas set. Check it all out here: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/11/stampin-up-woodland-season-like-christmas.html
I also like trying new folds, like the bridge fold I used with this card using the Season Like Christmas set: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/12/stampin-up-season-like-christmas-bridge-fold.html
Finally, my newest favorite set, Petal Palette. We will be making this card today at my Stampin' In the New Year Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack. Go HERE for more details.
