Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Here's the Valentine I have enjoyed bringing to my stamping ladies the most this valentine season! It is just so vintage-y and valentine-y at the same time, I LOVE IT! I used the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder, then sponged Crumb Cake ink on them to make the tulips really "pop"! I stamped the Occasions Mini "Be My Valentine" single stamp (still available until April 30th, so you can get it for next year if you don't already have it!) three times, the first two times in Cherry Cobbler, then once in Staz-on Black. One of the Cherry Cobbler hearts I cut out just around the heart, the second Cherry Cobbler one I punched a few times with the "Heart to Heart" punch to have some vintage-y hearts to sprinkle around my card, and the Staz-on Black one I cut out just the "BE MY VALENTINE" to pop up over the heart with dimensionals. I cut a Cherry Cobbler tag from the "Two Tags Die", then layered a piece of crumpled, Crumb Cake distressed "First Edition" Designer Paper over it. I added a slightly ruffled Early Espresso 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon piece over the First Edition, achieving the ruffled effect by attaching the ribbon to a piece of Sticky Strip and using a mini glue-dot to secure the single ruffle. The finishing touches were provided by "Victoria" Crochet Trim, a "Vintage Trinkets" safety pin, and "Basic Jewels Pearls"!

That's all I have time for today! My sweet hubby gave me advanced warning he is taking me out to eat tonight and I have lots to accomplish today before I can go!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! Day!

The New Catalog Starts TODAY & Open House is TONIGHT!!!!

Boy I'm super-excited this morning, still so much to do for my New Catalog Open House tonight! If you live in Southern Illinois, don't have a demonstrator but would like to have a new catalog, just contact me today for directions to my house. You can come see & take home a new catalog, stamp a couple of M&T's, browse my samples, and enjoy an Ice Cream Buffet! If you make an order of $50 or more OR book a stampin' party in the next few months, your name will go in a drawing for one of two $25 Stampin' Gift Certificates (you do not have to stay the whole time to win, I will mail out the certificates) I will also have my inventory of Scallop Square purses on display, and any $50 order will get you $5 off the purchase of a purse!

Thought I would show you one of the FREE projects we will be making tonight!

Isn't it fabulous? I think it's a pretty cool card. I showed it to my daughter, Alisa, last night and she said, "Isn't it amazing how your stamping has changed over the years? How did you even have a business when you started?" I think she is referring to two things:

1. Stampin' Up! has the most amazing stamps, and continuously tries to keep on trend and ahead of the "stamping curve" by providing us with fun creative stamps and accessories so we can create works of art like this in minutes.

2. My stamping skills have improved. (makes me wonder, how bad was I? lol!)

I have to admit, I've gotten better at stamping over the years, which is just the natural result of practice, practice, practice. It's practice that I happen to LOVE, so that makes all that  practice a win-win for me!)

Anyway, this card we will be making, which looks rather complicated, uses no fancy techniques, nor has a level of difficulty beyond the easy level. We will be using the gorgeous new set, Artistic Etchings, along with new colors Early Espresso and Marina Mist. We will be using the Cutter Kit to do a little distressing, a Stampin' Sponge to do ALOT of sponging, the Scallop Trim Border punch (it's back in the catalog after being available during Sale-a-bration!), brand-spankin'-new Designer Paper "Newsprint", and a little Log Cabin Smooch Spritz! It was a fun card to create, and I think you will love making it!

Here's the inside of the card. I chose an encouragement sentiment, but I always have several other verse sets available so you can customize your card to fit the occasion and loved one you are planning to give it to!

Well, I've gotta run, lots still to do to get my house ready for tonight! (Come on, you people know how it is, it takes having a party to make you clean up beyond your usual comfort level of clean!)

See ya tomorrow, (or tonight from 5-8 if you come see me!) so for now, have  a GREAT STAMPINROX! day!

New stamps to play with!

New stamps to play with!

Demonstrators get to pre-order specific items from the New Catalog (just another GREAT perk of being a SU! demo!). This is the one time of the year when they give us the opportunity to purchase Level 2 and Level 3 Hostess Sets, something we only get to do before the new BIG catalog starts! This card is my first creation with a fun new Level 2 Hostess Set called "Apple Blossoms"! This set has 8 very versatile stamps, 4 of which are used here. You can earn this set for FREE with a party of just $300 in sales! I'm filling my calendar for July, August, and September right now, so contact me and we can make this card at your party if you so choose AND you could get this set for free too!

Almost everything on this card is brand-new to the new catalog (with the exception of the Whisper White rectangle I stamped the flowers on!):

Early Espresso cardstock base stamped with Early Espresso ink

Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper (LOVE this paper, I will be using it ALOT in the next few months!)

Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Pear Pizazz cardstock mat around the Greenhouse Gala  DSP.

Cajun Craze cardstock mat around the stamped "just a little note" focal piece.

The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight & Cajun Craze ink.

The circles behind the flowers are stamped in the new "Crumb Cake"! (interesting tidbit abut Crumb Cake – it formerly was called Kraft and only came in cardstock, but with the Color Renovation we can get "Crumb Cake" in cardstock, inkpad, marker, ribbon, etc!)

"just a little note" is stamped in Early Espresso ink.

We will be making this card at my "Yes Ma'am's" monthly downline meeting tomorrow night! We try to get together every month to stamp, share ideas, and support each other!

There's just a few more days left to sign up with the $99 Mini Starter Kit! Contact me if you would like to join the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator family! It's a fun way to make extra money for whatever dream or goal you may have! I've been able to take my a family member with me on SIX all-expenses-paid trips courtesy of Stampin' Up!, something I would have NEVER been able to do otherwise! With the new catalog getting ready to start on July 1st, it's a great time to start with Stampin' Up!

I have a stamping-packed weekend ahead of me with three parties and a downline meeting, so I will see you all again on Monday with more NEW stuff!

Until Monday, have a GREAT Stampin' Rox! weekend!
