Stampin’ Up! Rose Wonder Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning before I head off to the dentist for my twice-a-year check up! I wanted to share with you another one of the cards you can choose from when you come to my "Stampin' In the New Year" Birthday Card Class tomorrow or Saturday. I used the new Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlet Dies, available to order starting January 5th!

I used a piece of Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper for the backing of the rose, and the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. My colors are Basic Black, Rose Red, and Whisper White.

Stampin’ Up! Party Pop Up Thinlet Dies Again!

Hey there! Today I have another card created with the Party with Cake stamp set and the Party Pop Up Thinlet Dies!

I used the Confetti Textured Impressions Folder again, and added balloons punched with both the Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Party Punch Pack balloon punch! My colors are Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay with Whisper White and Basic Black.

Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine and a swish of sparkle with my new Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush provide the finishing touches on the front.

To give the greeting two colors I stamped it once in the center with Bermuda Bay, cleaned my stamp, then stamped on scrap Whisper White with Melon Mambo. I cut out "CELEBRATE" with my Paper Snips and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" with the Party Pop Up Die, centering the die on the fold line of the 8 1/4" x 5 1/4" It's My Party Designer Series Paper. I added a 7 3/4" x 1" strip of Whisper White to the bottom to stamp and sign the card.

This card will be on display at my "Stampin' In the New Year" class on New Year's Day and on Saturday, January 2nd. You will be able to make 10 cards for $25, choosing from 8 different designs, or you can make all 10 for free with a $40 order. There is also a "quick" option to make 4 cards for $10 or free with a $25 order.

Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit for December Online Class!

Hey there. I'm having internet issues today, so I'm at Liam's house, which, although the internet signal is slow and unreliable, is better than the internet at my house, which is less than zero.

Today's project is the third and final card for the December Online Class. I immediately wanted to use the Sky Is the Limit set from the Sale-a-bration Brochure as soon as I spied it. I especially wanted to get busy with it because it is a limited edition set that will only be available until February 15!

I found the new Sunburst Thinlet die in the Occasions catalog and knew I had to pair it up with the airplane. After using the "inlaid embossing" technique with the Elegant Dots folder, I did a little bit of "fancy cutting" with my Paper Snips and then added a Neutrals Candy Dot to the propeller.

I stamped the airplane with Sahara Sand first, stamped the greeting with Early Espresso, then punched with the Tree Builder Punch, which make perfect clouds!

I did the same after stamping the exhaust-clouds, also with Sahara Sand.

Hey there! Today I'm sharing one of the December Online Card Class cards, a sneak peek of a Sale-a-bration 2016 set, Botanicals For You, as well as new designer paper Botanical Gardens!

I love the Botanical Gardens color palette of Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Whisper White. So lush and tropical!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Today is the first day of the 2016 Occasions Catalog Pre-Order. Yay! I'm being very strict with myself and blogging before I start placing my order! lol!

Since today is pre-order day, I thought I would share with you an elegant swap I received from my friend Jennifer Cotton at the Dallas OnStage a few weeks ago. Jennifer was a Founder's Circle attendee in September where Stampin' Up! gave them the Birthday Blooms set, an Occasions Catalog 2016 sneak peek. Jennifer used this set, combining it with Mint Macaron and Whisper White card stock, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron ink, the Banner Triple Punch, a Rhinestone Basic Jewel, and Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim:

This is SUCH an easy-but-elegant card. I'm just DYING to CASE it!

Jennifer added just a bit of Mint Macaron sponging to add more color while keeping the card clean-and-simple!

This bloom is so gorgeous! I can imagine using sponges, blender pens, and re-inkers to color, as well as embossing in gold, silver, and black! Emboss-resist, as well as stamping and embossing on vellum are just a few of the techniques I want to try!

Birthday Blooms will definitely be included in my pre-order this morning! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands Meets Adventure Bound!

Hey there! How are you doing today? Things have calmed down around here after all excitement yesterday, and I had a little time to create! My hostess for tonight has requested a card using the Wetlands stamp set, so I put my thinking cap on.

I decided to use a bit of retiring Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for my card base, then layered on a piece of Adventure Bound Designer Paper from the stack in the Occasions Catalog. I cut a window with one of the soon-retiring Window Frames Framelits dies, then added a Baked Brown Sugar frame cut with the same die and the next-larger die from the same set.

I stamped a layer of Very Vanilla with the little shore birdies from the Wetlands set. My hostess had also admired a technique on a swap I had on my display board that used the swish stamp from the Work of Art stamp set, so I used that stamp to add the background colors behind the birdies. I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored the shore grass with my Blender Pen using Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand ink from the lid of the pad.

Inside I used the cut-out from the Adventure Bound layer on the front, then stamped the sentiment from Yippee Skippee! (which is retiring) and cut it out with the next-to-smallest Window Frames Framelit.

A bit more stamping with the Work of Art "swish", the birdies and the grass finish off the inside. I kept the stamping of the grass and the birdies on the envelope simple by using just the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
