Stampin Up Merry Coffee Cafe’!

Stampin Up Merry Coffee Cafe’!

Hey there! I'm still playing around with packaging ideas for my coffee candles. Last night I played with the Coffee Cafe', Merry Cafe, and Marbled Background sets to create this embellished box container:
Stampin_up_merry_cafe_carolpaynestamps1
The straw in the candle is from a package of straws I bought randomly a few years ago. I'm cutting each 8" straw in half so I will have enough straws for 24 candles. I stamped the straw image from Coffee Cafe' with Real Red ink on Crumb Cake card stock to make the matching straw for the coffee cup on the front. I stamped "Christmas" with Garden Green ink and "CHEER with Real Red on the cup wrapper. I stamped the "wood" of the cup with Chocolate Chip ink, and the "whipped cream" with the Marbled background and Soft Suede ink.  I used a Gold Foil Snowflake for the background.

I cut a lid for the cup with a Coffee Cup framelit from a piece of a Window Sheet. I added it with glue dots, then added a single Real Red heart punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Stampin_up_merry_cafe_carolpaynestamps3

I attached it all to the same size box I created yesterday; I just didn't add the handles.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments Coffee Candle!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments Coffee Candle!

Hey there! I had a lovely day of shopping with my youngest daughter, Alisa, yesterday. We didn't really have that much we were looking for, but we managed to fill the day! One unique experience involved a rouge shopping cart and me chasing it across the Sam's parking lot! Hilarious! I wish I could have watched it from afar!

Today I have a cute little holder for a coffee-scented candle I found at Dollar Tree. These candles have been a much sought-after item this fall. This is the first of what will probably be more than one version. I found instructions for the holder on Facebook.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps1

The box to hold the candle is 6 3/4" x 6 3/4", scored on all four sides at 2".

Cut along two of the scored lines up to the next scored line on two opposite sides. Fold along all scored lines. Adhere the box flaps to each other and bring up the larger flap, adhering with Liquid Glue.

The box handles are 2 5/i" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" from one end of each. After curving the corners with the Envelope Punch Board, I punched a hole in the curved ends with a 1 1/2" Circle Punch. I adhere the handles to the bottom of the box with Liquid Glue, overlapping the flaps for extra strength. I tied the top of the handles with a piece of Burlap 5/8" Ribbon and a bit of Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps3

I created the greeting badge by stamping a Snowflake Sentiment with Garden Green ink and punching with a 2" Circle Punch. I punched Soft Suede card stock with the Starburst Punch to layer behind the greeting. I cut sprigs of Garden Green and Real Red Glimmer Paper with dies from the Pretty Pines Thinlets to adhere with Glue Dots. I also added a small bow tied with Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 19th on Monday the 20th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 19th on Monday the 20th!

Hey there! We celebrated two birthdays yesterday! Two of my sons have birthdays this week;  Troy's birthday was yesterday and Logan's is on Wednesday. With both of their birthdays so close to Thanksgiving (Logan was born the day before Thanksgiving) their celebrations have sometimes gotten lost in the shuffle of the holidays. We decided to not let that happen this year!

This is a good group of cards, so let's get started!

First, a lovely Carols of Christmas swap featuring the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Marbled Background. Silver Glimmer paper, Silver Sequin Trim, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels add fun sparkle. This card was created by Cathy Miller.

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

Next, an Eclipse technique Christmas card using the Large Letter Alphabet Framelits and Christmas Pines stamps. Created by Landa Cartwright

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps1

"to the world" is from Hearts Come Home.

Stampin_up_christmas_pines_carolpaynestamps2

Carol Slack sponged a background of Pool Party and Dapper Denim, then subtly stamped snowflakes with Whisper White Craft ink. She cut the houses and church with the Hometown Greetings Edgelits, the tree with a Card Front Builder Dies. She added little pieces of So Saffron card stock behind the windows to make light "shine" through. The greeting is from Star of Light in the Annual Catalog.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

Lovely as a Tree has been in the catalog since before I became a demonstrator over 15 years ago, but it's still a favorite of just about everyone! The creator of this easel card stamped the Night of Navy card base with the Sheet Music background, then heat-embossed the tree with white powder on vellum. This card could easily be a luminaria; all it needs is a battery votive inside!

Stampin_up_lovely_as_a_tree_carolpaynestamps1

Silver 1/8" ribbon, a Foil Snowflake, and rhinestones add sparkle. The greeting is from Christmas Quilt.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest OnStage Swaps!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest OnStage Swaps!

Hey there! We had a great stamp camp last night at Christie's house. Lots of laughs and fun cards made! Today is a dark and blustery day, a great day to stay inside and stamp, which is exactly what I'm going to do as soon as I get some weekly housekeeping chores done. There's also a box of new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog goodies just begging me to open it, but I'm being a good girl and making myself wait until I have some of my most needed tasks done before I dive in!

Speaking of the Occasions catalog, at every Stampin' Up! event there is always the chance to swap! My team member, Linda, did some swapping and received several using the Painted Harvest stamp set (hint: the Occasions Catalog has the Painted Harvest set and coordinating Leaf Punch shown on the back page as carryover products! However, they will no longer be bundled, so if you want to save 10% you need to buy them before the Holiday Catalog ends on January 2, 2018)

First in the lineup of Painted Harvest swaps was made by Lisa Mowry. Her combo of Whisper White embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic folder, Melon Mambo bloom, and Lemon Lime Twist accents are such a breath of spring-like air on this gloomy day!

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_pink_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Randi Lontz chose subtle Perfect Plum and Always Artichoke with pops of Crushed Curry for her Painted Harvest creation:

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_carolpaynestamps9

Patricia Coats' rendition of the Painted Harvest hedgehog used the teddy bear face from Cookie Cutter Christmas!

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_hedgehog_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, Joyce Hall's clean and simple card features the Painted Harvest bloom stamped as a Christmas wreath with a sentiment from Watercolor Christmas stamped in Cherry Cobbler and accented with Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-stitched Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live Swaps!

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live Swaps!

Hey there! As promised, today I have a few swaps to share with you from OnStage Live in Salt Lake City last week. These are not the only swaps I will be sharing, be assured there are more! I won't be sharing them everyday; I'll just sprinkle them in now and then!

Today's swaps are timely because they are Christmas-themed!

Some of today's swaps I can give credit to and some I cannot as these were swapped by the girls from my team at OnStage and some swaps just don't have a creator's name!

This first swap is anonymous, but is a lovely combo of Carols of Christmas, Card Front Builder Thinlets dies, and Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. Combined with a Crumb Cake card base, this card has a great homespun look!

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps

Stacy MIller also used the Carols of Christmas bundle, but with a completely different look. Gold Foil behind the top layer adds just the right amount of glow to this nighttime snowy scene!

The Christmas Quilt Suite was used for this fun swap!

QStampin_up_christmas_quilt_carolpaynestamps

Dava Tutt combined Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Paper with the Every Good Wish set:

A fun non-traditional color combo of Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist with the Ready for Christmas bundle:

Finally, Star of Light by Darlene Mitchell:
