Stampin’ Up! Painted Glass Daylilies!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Glass Daylilies!

Hey there! We have septic tank woes. I can't run laundry without water back up. I'm running the water into a trash can, then dipping and hauling outside. My flowers and tomato plants are very happy!

I did manage, between dipping and hauling (did I mention extra laundry from my hubby and son  under the house taking apart the pipes?) to get one card made today! Yay!

I embossed Grapefruit Grove with the Climbing Vine Textured Impressions folder, then colored the backside of the strip of Graceful Glass vellum with Stampin' Blends Markers.

I used an image from the Very Vintage Host set to add the tiny flowers above and below the greeting.

Stampin_up_painted_glass_carolpaynestamps3

Another Very Vintage sentiment finishes off the card.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Glass!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Glass!

Hey there! Today's creation is CASED from a Stampin' Up! publication demonstrators receive quarterly, Stampin' Success! Any time I'm low on time or inspiration, all I have to do is thumb through the catalog or this exclusive demo-only magazine!

Of course, I changed it up a bit to make it mine! I used the new Painted Glass Bundle of Painted Glass clear-mount stamps and Stained Glass Thinlets Dies, along with Graceful Glass Designer Vellum and Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Stampin_up_painted_glass_carolpaynestamps1

I used a cutting die from the Stained Glass Thinlets with our new Embossing Mats and the Big Shot to create this custom-embossed layer. I colored the back side of the vellum with Dark & Light Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.

Stampin_up_painted_glass_carolpaynestamps2

The sentiment and the faintly stamped rose are both included in the Painted Glass set. I added a little piece of Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon behind the sentiment. You can faintly tell the Coastal Cabana card base has been embossed with the Subtle folder.

Stampin_up_painted_glass_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I used a sentiment from a new Host Set,  Very Vintage.

Stampin’ Up! Mistletoe Season for July Creative Class!

Stampin’ Up! Mistletoe Season for July Creative Class!

Hey there! I have a new grandbaby due in the middle of July, so I'm already planning my July Creative Class: Christmas in July! The card uses new Mistletoe Season and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper:

Stampin_up_mistletoe_season_carolpaynestamps1

I used a Gold Library Clip at the top of the "tag", which are part of the Under the Mistletoe Suite. Yes, the clip would be hard to mail, unless you were shipping a boxed gift along with it, but there are many other uses for these shiny gold clips! Closing treat bags and boxes, on a magnet for the fridge; I'm sure we can think of more!

I love, love, love this plaid designer paper!

Stampin_up_mistletoe_season_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I stamped the sentiment, then embossed with the new Seasonal Wreath Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which is also from the Under the Mistletoe Suite. It embosses a wreath that can be used for any season or occasion: spring, fall, Christmas, winter! Love it!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature!

Hey there! I've been so obsessed with Abstract Impression that I've ignored Rooted in Nature, another simply gorgeous bundle! So today I'm sharing one of the cards we made at my New Catalog Kickoff!

We stamped Rooted with Nature on a Very Vanilla Note Card and the matching envelope with new Shaded Spruce ink! We grouped the two leaves and the spray on the same clear block to make placement easier and stamping faster!

Stampin_up_rooted_in_nature_carolpaynestamps1

The Rooted in Nature greeting in stamped on a banner we punched with the Banner Triple Punch. The vanilla strip is 1 1/2" wide by 4" before punching. The Shaded Spruce mat layer is 1 5/8" wide by 4 1/8" wide before punching.

Stampin_up_rooted_in_nature_carolpaynestamps2

The Banner Trio Punch, designed to punch 1" wide, 1 1/2" wide, and 2" wide strips, can punch other widths by carefully "eyeballing" the edges evenly before punching:

Stampin_up_rooted_in_nature_carolpaynestamps5

The Rooted in Nature Bundle includes the Nature's Roots Framelits Dies. We used this leaf embossing die to emboss the leaves from Shaded Spruce, then hand-cut it with Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_rooted_in_nature_carolpaynestamps3

"thinking of you" is also from Rooted in Nature.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 17th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 17th!

Hey there and Happy Father's Day! Per usual, it's Sunday Swap Day here on Stampingroxmyfuzzybluesox! Today I have an eclectic mix of stamps and styles to share with you, all featuring New Catalog products!

First, Rhonda Bassler used one of my favorites, the Abstract Impressions Bundle, with the new In Color, Grapefruit Grove!

Stampin_up_abstract_impressions_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Deb McCahan used the Painted Glass Bundle with the Stained Glass Designer Vellum. She solved the coloring conundrum by punching circles of card stock in Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, and Pineapple Punch to go behind the Basic Black thinlet mosaic.

Stampin_up_painted_glass_carolpaynestamps1

Kelly Acheson used the Sea of Textures Bundle with the Tranquil Textures Designer Paper. This matching Under the Sea Framelits made cutting out all of those octopus tentacles a snap!

Finally, Mary Waring combined the Stitched All Around Bundle with Garden Impressions 6" x 6" Designer Paper for a fun and girly card!

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door Take 2!

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door Take 2!

Hey there! Last weekend I did a class for a dear friend of mine. She requested a Barn Door card with a red tractor, so I modified a card I have shown you already for her class:

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps1

We did a lot of sponging on the Pinewood Planks layer; on all of the layers actually. We stamped the door on a piece of Wood Textured Designer Paper for a more authentic look.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps2

We used the Stamparatus to stamp the door on both sides of the Wood Textures piece, and used Real Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers to ink the tractor stamp before stamping on the Very Vanilla layer. "Happy Birthday" is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings set.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps3

On the inside we huffed our breath on the tractor stamp without re-inking, then stamped on the inside layer. The sentiment is from the Heartland set.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps4

This card would also make a really great Father's Day card, don't you think?
