Stampin’ Up! Create a Cupcake and Everyday Enchantment Paper!

Good morning! Hope your day is going well. Mine is GREAT! Just wanted to show you the second card from my class presentation last week, this time using the "Create a Cupcake" stamp set and Sale-a-bration "Everyday Enchantment" Designer Paper:

I chose the set and accessories for this card so my group could learn a little bit about punches and the Big Shot! They were able to use the "Build a Cupcake" punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, sponging, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder and Big Shot,  3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, and Basic Jewels Pearls! All the stamps used, including the greeting and inner phrase, are from the same "Create a Cupcake" stamp set!

So, how do you like these projects? Would you like to have a workshop with me and make these? Leave me a comment and letme know what you think and I will give some of these cards away!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Hershey Nugget Birthday Card!

Hershey Nugget Birthday Card!

Good morning Stamping Friends!

I had a fun Birthday Card Class the weekend before Leadership, so wanted to show you some of the cards and share the tutorials from this class!

Here's the first one, a Birthday Cake Pedestal Card complete with Hershey Nuggets attached!

Cherry on top 1

I also swapped a few of these at Leadership. They are a bulky card, and of course would be impossible to mail (and the postage would be high), but I'm thinking it would make an excellent hand-delivered or attached to a gift kind of card!

The phrase, "happy birthday with a cherry on top!" I thought was appropriate for two reasons, the first being I added punched Calypso Coral cherries from the Cupcake Builder punch to the top of the cake, and second I used the new Cherry-scented Embossing Powder to emboss the phrase! WOW, this embossing powder REALLY smells like cherry while you are sprinkling and using it, but not so much after you have heated it. Stampin' Up! says the scent is designed to be aromatic for two weeks after it is heated, so you need to give this card QUICK before the scent dissipates!

I do have my hand-out/tutorial from this card for you today:

Also, I need to clarify the smudginess of some of the lettering. My stamp wasn't Versamarked enough when I stamped the phrase, so I went back in with my Versamarker and corrected the flaw in the stamping so the words would emboss correctly. Not my best effort, I admit, but it is what it is and I didn't take any pictures of any of the other ones I made for swaps for Leadership, so hopefully your efforts will turn out much better than mine!

It's hard to see in the picture, but I used the "Heart Presssed" Letterpress Plate on the Crumb Cake background. On my swaps I took this one step further and rubbed my Versamark Pad on the plate before running it through the Big Shot. I also left the area where I was stamping the greeting un-letterpressed so I wouldn't have to compete with the background or have issues with the Cherry-scented Embossing Powder sticking to the background. I DID use my Embossing Buddy on the area before stamping and embossing. I sure hope Stampin' Up! gets a new supplier the Embossing Buddy soon! I have kept using it even though we lost our supplier last September and have a waiting list of customers wanting to order it as soon as it is available again!

Good Evening Stampers!

Sale-a-bration is in full-swing! I have been out a couple of nights this week already with Sale-a-bration workshops, and I have another one tomorrow night! I can't wait!

The past few days I have been spending ALOT of time creating some fun new projects for my workshops and classes, and I have been having a BLAST! One of the challenges I put on myself was to figure out how to make this card. One of my friends at Leadership received a swap similar to this card last week, and since I don't live with her I took some pictures of it, thinking it would be EASY TO FIGURE OUT! WRONG! I even asked my aspiring engineer-son, Logan, to help me figure it out as I didn't take any measurements, just pictures. He, however, was apparently too busy with his online computer game to help, so I just kept at it till I figured it out myself! I am very proud! (Maybe there's a little bit of an engineer in me too!)

Without further ado, here it is:

Okay, you say? What's the big deal? It's an okay card, but nothing particularly special, nothing you haven't already seen before?

Wait for it . . .

I am absolutely IN LOVE with this card, and once I figured it out and wrote down all of my measurements, it is EASY! I immediately made another one using the "Just My Type" stamp set from the Occasions Mini, but that one will have to wait for another day as it is for my husband's birthday, which is a month away. Although he NEVER looks at my blog, it hardly seems fair to share it with the world before he gets to see it, right?

Anyhoo, I used the Create a Cupcake stamp set, matching Build a Cupcake Punch and Big Top Birthday Designer Paper. If you want to know more, you will have to ask!

So here's the deal. I'm going to give this card away! YES I AM! Don't believe me? Just leave me a comment in the comment section. Please be nice, please be clean, and please don't comment if you don't like my card. The FIRST nice, clean, complimentary comment left on my blog about this card will receive it in the mail from me! Just leave your comment along with your email so I can contact you for your address and it's YOURS! I will include a matching stamped envelope so it will be all ready for you to give away to your favorite birthday friend!

But I'm not going to stop there! Keep an eye on my blog and you will find out what else is coming in the future!

Scrapbook Pages Are Just Big Cards!

Scrapbook Pages Are Just Big Cards!

I remember one time, not too long after I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, when I was worried about coming up with a cute scrapbook page for a hostess and one of my daughter's said, "Mom, a scrapbook page is just a giant card!" and she's right! Here's the perfect example of how that concept works! Here's the page I will be showing and gifting to my hostess, Lisa, next week, and the card everyone will make at her workshop that matches it! The guests can leave the card and use it as a card, or they can add it to their own page! This page and card uses the "Bring on the Cake" stamp set from the Occasions Mini and the "Build a Cupcake" punch! The colors are Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze with a little Daffodil Delight thrown in! The Designer Paper is from the Hostess Level 1 In-Color 6×6 Patterns Pack, all you need is a $150 order or party to get this FREE!

The Very Versatile Petal Cone Die!

The Very Versatile Petal Cone Die!

Last week I showed you the Easter Carrot Box we made at our "Yes, Ma'am's!" downline meeting with the Occasions Mini Petal Cone Die, so I thought today would be a good day to start showing you some of the other projects that can be made with this VERY versatile die!

First, here's a Petal Cone "cone basket" similar to how it is shown on page 15 of the Occasions Mini. I have CASED this project from somewhere, but have not kept track of who's original idea most of these were from, so if this is your's, please let me know so I can give you credit!

Next is a very vintage-y heart shaped basket. I also see Thanksgiving possibilities for this shape! (doesn't this one remind you of a turkey?) I used the "Vintage Wallpaper" Textured Impressions Folder on this one before assembling the box.

Here's a Petal Cone Ice Cream Cone! I used the sprinkles from the "Build a Cupcake" punch and covered them with Crystal Effects to give them the chocolatey yumminess look! The waffle look of the cone was achieved with the "Perfect Details" Texturz Plate. The edge of the ice cream scoop is from the "Tasteful Trim" Bigz XL Die.

Here's the inside. The "spoil yourself today" is from awesome new birthday set, "Bring on the Cake" in the Occasions Mini.

That's all for today! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
