Stampin’ Up! Fiji Bound!

Stampin’ Up! Fiji Bound!

Today is going to be a looooong day for me! We fly out of St. Louis to Chicago at 1:20 p.m., then it's off to L.A. with about a 5 hour layover, then we fly out of L.A. at about midnight, arriving in Fiji in the wee sma's of the morning! Stampin' Up! will have a breakfast ready for us when we get there, and then I'll bet I will be ready for a big nap!

I am all packed and ready to go! My swaps are done and packed, safe in my carry-on along with my brand-spankin' New Annual Catalog! I've viewed the catalog online already, but I am saving a good long browse for the plane rides! yay!

Today I have my Fiji swap to show you. I made 26 of these, 25 to swap and 1 for Stampin' Up!

Note: all products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless stated otherwise.

Fiji swap 1

At Leadership this past January, Stampin' Up! gave everyone in attendance this new catalog stamp set, Sketched Birthday, so I decided to create my swap with it! I chose Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper because it is CARRYING OVER into the New Catalog, so I decided to use Real Red and Marina Mist, which are two of the page colors, for my color palette. The images and paper are all punched with the Postage Stamp Punch. I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Chevron Folder, and added Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details for a little bling!

Here are some close-ups of the bling:

Fiji swap 3

Stampin' Up! offered two bottles of the Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details as a demonstrator incentive recently. I've always been a sucker for an incentive carrot! It's fun to be able to use a completely FREE product, which is another fun perk of being a demonstrator!

Fiji swap 2

Well, I must close for now and finish getting ready to go! My son, Troy, will be here soon and we will be on our way to a week in Fabulous Fiji!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Good morning! Oh, my, my day completely got away from me yesterday! I stayed up REALLLY late the night before in order to view the Demonstrator Preorder List and Hostess Set Preorder List! Then I submitted my Preorder so I could expedite the shipment so it and the hard copy of the NEW 2013-2014 Catalog will be here before I leave for Fiji on Sunday morning! I NEED that catalog for the 10.5 hour plane ride to Fiji! (We fly from St Louis to Chicago, then Chicago to L.A. with a 6 hour layover until the chartered Fiji flight takes off!)

BTW, the you are gonna LOVE the New Catalog!!!!! You can trust me on this one!

I had a LONG list of errands to run yesterday to get ready for Fiji, and then just as I got home Liam and his Mommy & Daddy arrived for the evening! So no blogging, and I am truly sorry!

Note: all products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless stated otherwise.

I DO have a couple more fine swaps to share with you today!

Up first, Embossed Metallic Duct Tape by Nancy Hall using the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Folder and "Thinking of You" from Thoughts & Prayers.

Stampin’ Up! Emboss Resist Technique!

Stampin’ Up! Emboss Resist Technique!

Good morning! Hope your day is going well! Today I'm working on my swap for the Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation in Fiji! I will show it to you  before I leave, but today I have some more fun swaps to show you! This month's theme was "techniques", and everyone really outdid themselves. Today I am showing you a collection of samples using the "Emboss Resist" technique, so here we go!

Note: all products used are  ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless stated  otherwise.

Rhonda Bassler combined En Francais background with a white embossed and stamped-and-punched butterflies from Papillon Potpourri. She added a little sponged Calypso Coral to make the embossed butterflies "pop"!

Emboss Resist Rhonda Bassler p

I always love black & white with a splash of color, it's just so elegant! Tamie Ackerson white embossed the Sweet Floral background stamp on a Whisper White Top Note, then sponged Pool Party ink over the image for a gentle and soft look!

Emobss Resist Tamie Ackerson p

An finally for today, Mary Waring used lots of retiring colors (Pretty in Pink and Lucky Limeade) and product on her swap. She Clear-embossed one of the flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set on a Whisper White Top Note, then sponged Pretty In Pink ink over them. She used more stamps from the same set, clear-embossing again on white before cutting out with the Secret Garden Framelits and coloring with Rose Red ink. She finished off her card with Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding (retiring) and a stamp from the Spring Special Bundle, A Round Array!

That's all for now! It's back to swap making for me! See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! More Swallowtails!

Stampin’ Up! More Swallowtails!

Happy Monday morning too you! Today I am going to be head-down working on prep for two stamp camps this week at separate locations, a vendor fair, and getting packed and ready for Fiji! Well, I don't actually expect to pack any today, but I am going to get my suitcases down from the attic so I can start seriously thinking about it! lol!

I know I said a few days ago I was done showing you butterflies for awhile, but then my monthly swap came in the mail and here were these three lovely examples, all made with the Swallowtail single stamp!

Note: all products and images used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless stated otherwise.

Brenda Hukriede created this lovely sample using the Chalkboard Technique!

Chalkboarding Brenda Hukriede

Linda Pagel used simple White Embossing with a bit of sponging to make this one really pop off the page!

Heat Embossing Lilnda Pagel p

Alas, this beauty either didn't have a creator's name on it, so I'm just guessing that she used a variation of the Polished Stone Technique with Whisper White cardstock instead of the traditional glossy, and then added some Shimmer Paint for the final step! It's a gorgeous card, no matter what the technique used!

Polished Stone on Whisper White p

Well, that's all for today! I've really got to get busy! What I get accomplished today will most likely make- or-break my entire week!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

You can always go HERE to order your stampin' supplies, anytime of day, any day of the week!
