Stampin’ Up! Bella & Friends for Maddie Kate!

Hey there! In addition to graduating from High School, Maddie Kate turns 18 in two more days. We actually had her graduation and birthday parties together, so I created this card for the birthday present we gave her with the Bella & Friends stamp set:

Bella & Friends is on the Retiring List! I will miss this cute set!

After stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento ink I colored the parrot and Bella with Stampin' Blends Markers.

I stamped the balloon a second time on a piece of Poppy Parade Designer Paper, cut it out with scissors, and then adhered over the balloon outline.

The inside image and sentiment are also from Bella & Friends.

Stampin’ Up! Bella & Friends Magic Card!

Hey there! Oakley, is 4! Today is his birthday party, so of course I made a special card. I've been wanting to make a "magic card", but none of the tutorials I found really were constructed they way I needed. I woke up in the middle of the night with my modified version using Bella & Friends and Pretty Kitty "crunching" in my head. Do you do that? Wake up during the night with the solution to a problem you sometimes didn't even know you were thinking about?

With a Magic Card, the front image is colorless so I stamped the Bella & Friends on a window sheet with Basic Black Archival ink. This ink never dries on plastic, so I immediately sprinkled with clear embossing powder and carefully used my heat tool to emboss.

When you pull out the insert the image "magically" becomes full-color! Most "magic cards" have a stopper at the bottom to prevent complete removal, which does contribute to the "magic", but I know Oakley. He would keep pulling until he tore the card to shreds, so this version works for me!

I used sentiments from Pretty Kitty because Bella & Friends didn't have birthday ones.

Next, Marsha LaPointe combined Confetti Celebration with Swirly Scribbles Thinlets, adding a few White Perfect Accents!

She used Foam Adhesive Strips to firmly support to the layers, maintaining the depth between the Dapper Denim swirls and the card front.
