Hey there! Oakley, is 4! Today is his birthday party, so of course I made a special card. I've been wanting to make a "magic card", but none of the tutorials I found really were constructed they way I needed. I woke up in the middle of the night with my modified version using Bella & Friends and Pretty Kitty "crunching" in my head. Do you do that? Wake up during the night with the solution to a problem you sometimes didn't even know you were thinking about?

With a Magic Card, the front image is colorless so I stamped the Bella & Friends on a window sheet with Basic Black Archival ink. This ink never dries on plastic, so I immediately sprinkled with clear embossing powder and carefully used my heat tool to emboss.

When you pull out the insert the image "magically" becomes full-color! Most "magic cards" have a stopper at the bottom to prevent complete removal, which does contribute to the "magic", but I know Oakley. He would keep pulling until he tore the card to shreds, so this version works for me!

I used sentiments from Pretty Kitty because Bella & Friends didn't have birthday ones.

I mounted the "magic" part on a regular card base, then used Stylized Birthday inside.
