Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Hey there! I took a bit of a blogging break the past few days while it was crunch time for getting the room ready for my son to move back in. He has several Associates Degrees and has worked for several years but recently decided to go back to school full-time to get his degree in High School English teaching. He's avoiding draining his savings by living with us. It's only 3 years!

As a messy creative I had way too much stuff in his old room, and although I'm NOT a hoarder, as I sorted, trashed, gifted, and stored the contents of the room I started to feel a little bit like one. I was able to part with a lot of stuff, and even had a bonfire or two (three!), and now have several totes in storage at my daughter's spare garage, so I'm finally back to blogging!

Today I have some swaps to share with the Curvy Celebrations Bundle, which is now available for stampers to order!

To start off, here's a Christmas-y card with the Curvy Christmas stamp set, Quite Curvy dies, and Classic Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper by an anonymous creator:

Stampin_up_curvy_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Nancy Juliano when with Shaded Spruce for her encouragement creation:

Stampin_up_curvy_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

Finally, Jan Farring also used Shaded Spruce with Whisper White for her creation. She added in Stitched Nested Labels Dies for the greeting flap:

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy!

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you another set of cards I created with the Quite Curvy Bundle and Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper!

This first card has a base of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla for the middle sentiment area.

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps1

I love how the Quite Curvy sentiments are already curved to coordinate with the die-cut curves!

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps6

These leaves are from a longer set. After I gold heat-embossed the leaves on Gold Foil I cut out two sets of leaves to accent the ends of the sentiment. The Gilded Gems are just the right finishing touch!

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I stamped another Quite Curvy sentiment and leaves with Early Espresso ink.

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps7

For my second card I cut more curves from Gold Foil and used the inside sentiment from the first card on the front of this one!

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps10

I love all of the little "dots" the die cuts! I used the rest of the strip of gold embossed leaves from the first card to accent this one.

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps11

I used a line in the Plaid Tidings Designer paper to keep the Gilded Gems straight.

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps13

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Best Year and the entire strip of leaves with Early Espresso ink. I added 1/2" wide strips of Gold Foil above and below the sentiment layer to coordinate with all of the gold I used on the front.

Stampin_up_plaid_tidings_curvy_celebrations_carolpaynestamps15

Dimensions:

Early Espresso base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" (landscape)

Plaid Tidings layer: 3" x 5 1/2"

Brushed Gold for curves: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" for leaf strip: 1 1/2" x 5"

Very Vanilla layers: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Gold strips: 4 3/4" x 1/2" -need two

Stampin’ Up! Fall Review!

Stampin’ Up! Fall Review!

Hey there! My youngest son is moving back home so he can save money while getting his degree to teach High School English, so I am taking this first couple of days of the week to hunker down and get his room ready. You know how after your kids move out you just start using their room as a catch-all? Maybe you didn't do that, but I did and boy now I sure regret it. Everything in there has to either be re-stored somewhere else in my house, given away, or thrown away, and it's a big job!

Since I'm almost caught up with sharing my stamping creations and have no time to make more right now, I've decided to do a "fall review" of some of my favorite projects. I do have a couple of new ones, but they are connected to a Stampin' Up! promotion that starts tomorrow, so I will start sharing those on Tuesday.

To start off, I'm reaching all the way back to August 25th to share my Boho Indigo Embossed Strips Background. I used the Boho Indigo Product Medley and added Whisper White and Misty Moonlight card stock of my own. You can view the full post HERE.

6a00e54f70aa8088330263e95dd8c1200b-450wi

Next, my Beautiful Autumn card from September 2nd. View the entire post HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026bde8e9528200c-450wi

Next, everybody loved my Peaceful Nativity Diorama card. Get the details & dimensions HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026bde911ec8200c-450wi

I loved creating this simple Birds & Branches for Christmas card. Get the details HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026be4113c75200d-450wi

I knew I hadn't played with the Country Home stamp set enough, so I created this card HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026bde92fdd6200c-450wi

I shrank the diorama dimensions to create this Snow Front Diorama that will fit in a Medium Envelope! Get the dimensions and details HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026be416923c200d-450wi

That's all for today. I think I will save the rest of my favorites for another day. If you want to see more, you can always scroll through my blog and decide for yourself which ones are your favorites. I plan to be back tomorrow with a new creation, so be sure to come back!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 1st!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 1st!

Hey there! Hope you weren't too messed up by the "falling back" we did last night. I like "falling back" in the fall a lot better than "falling forward" in the spring! Which one do you like better?

Today I'm starting off with the tri-fold card by Kathy Johnson with the Dove of Hope Bundle:

Stampin_up_dove_of_hope_carolpaynestamps1

Kathy also used a die from the World Map dies on the center fold:

Stampin_up_dove_of_hope_carolpaynestamps2

The third fold:

Stampin_up_dove_of_hope_carolpaynestamps3

Next, Audra Moncur used the Freezin' Fun Bundle for her creation:

Stampin_up_freezin_fun_carolpaynestamps1

Barb Nagle used the Have a Hoot bundle  to create a cute gift card holder:

Stampin_up_have_a_hoot_carolpaynestamps1

Laura Barto used the In the Pines Bundle with Plaid Tidings Designer to create her warm & elegant card:

Stampin_up_in_the_pines_carolpaynestamps1

Janet Johnson Used the Evergreen 3D embossing folder, Brushed Metallic Card Stock, and the Merry Moose Bundle for her creation:

Stampin_up_merry_moose_carolpaynestamps1

Inside. (not all swaps are stamped on the inside, gasp!)

Stampin_up_merry_moose_carolpaynestamps2

Rhonda Bassler used the Peaceful nativity Bundle and the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder for her awesome Christmas card!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_carolpaynestamps1

Jan Rodrian used the Snow Wonder Bundle, Evergreen 3D embossing folder, and Snow Time Dies:

Stampin_up_snow_wonder_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, Ruth Bingle combined the Poinsettia Petals Bundle with Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper for her lovely card:

Stampin_up_poinsettia_petals_carolpaynestamps1

She cut gold "berries" with Poinsettia Dies to coordinate with the Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon. She cut the poinsettia from the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper and added a Beaded Pearl to the center.
