Stampin’ Up! Harvest Hellos!

Stampin’ Up! Harvest Hellos!

Hey there! I had a fun day yesterday putting up sweetcorn! After my hubby brought the corn from the patch it was shucked, cooked, dunked in ice water, then cut off the cob and put into freezer bags. My DIL, Faith, helped. She took home bags of corn to freeze, as well as a few gallon bags of naked cobs to freeze and dole out to her chickens for a frosty hot day treat!

Today's project is with the Harvest Hellos stamps, Apple Builder Punch, and Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_harvest_hellos_carolpaynestamps1

The Ornate Garden Specialty package says the "red" color is Terracotta Tile, but the Terracotta Tile in this print coordinates perfectly with Rococo Rose, so I stamped the apple with Real Red on Rococo Rose before punching with the Apple Builder Punch. I added Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive leaves and a Soft Suede stem.

Stampin_up_harvest_hellos_carolpaynestamps4

I randomly stamped "you make me smile!" with Crumb Cake on the Crumb Cake base, doubling as a background and the greeting!

Stampin_up_harvest_hellos_carolpaynestamps5

The inside Harvest Hellos sentiment is stamped with Old Olive. I added a stamped apple slice colored with Stampin' Blends.  I added a 1/2" strip of Ornate Garden  to pull it all together.

Stampin’ Up! So Much Happy Sunflowers!

Stampin’ Up! So Much Happy Sunflowers!

Hey there! Today I have a couple more cards created with the So Much Happy Bundle of stamps and dies and Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper!

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps1-2

I chose this print so I could create a card with Just Jade as the card base and one with Bumblebee!

Here's the Just Jade one:

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps2-2

I punched one end of this 1/2" wide greeting snippet with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps4-2

And punched both ends of the corresponding greeting at the bottom.

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps5-2

I used a phrase from So Sentimental inside, along with the confetti images from the same set.

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps6-2

The Bumblebee-based one!

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps10-2

I punched the ends of this So Much Happy greeting snippet with the same Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, then added Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. They are on the Just Jade card too!

Stampin_up_so_much_happy_carolpaynestamps9-2

So Sentimental is a very versatile set! I found another phrase to coordinate with So Much Happy. So far I've used three of the nine sentiments in the set!

Stampin’ Up! Label Me Pretty!

Stampin’ Up! Label Me Pretty!

Hey there! I spent a big chunk of my day yesterday babysitting for Liam, Darcy, and their baby sister, Fiona, and then grocery-shopping for myself, and two of my daughters. One of the daughters is currently 3 days past her due date with grandchild #12, so I have been getting her groceries for almost this entire time of shelter-in-place. If the pregnancy is like her first four, she will most likely be at least 2 weeks over due, which means I have 11 days left to get my ducks in a row before I disappear for the next two weeks while I help with the new baby! eeek!

I created today's card with the soon-to-be-retired Label Me Pretty stamp set and also retiring Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards:

Stampin_up_label_me_pretty_carolpaynestamps2

This card came together so quickly! After adhering a layer of Early Espresso under the lacy card front, I then inked the center of the greeting with Early Espresso and Pool Party markers. After stamping on Very Vanilla I stamped the floral brackets with Early Espresso and then punched with the Pretty Label Punch. I added a mat behind the greeting label punched from Pool Party, as well as a couple of gold Metallic Pearls. I created a "faux ribbon" from a 1/4" wide strip of Pool Party embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

Stampin_up_label_me_pretty_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a sentiment from the retiring Annual Catalog set, Kindness & Compassion.

Stampin_up_label_me_pretty_carolpaynestamps7

The Pretty Label Punch is NOT retiring, but Label Me Pretty, Kindness & Compassion, and the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut cards & Tin will be gone after June 2nd.

Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our May theme is "Going, Going, Gone" in reference to the Stampin' Up! Retiring List! Everything on it will be GONE after June 2nd!

My project for the hop is with several retiring items: Layered With Kindness, Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder, and already sold-out Gorgeous Grape 1/4" Mini-Striped Ribbon.

Stampin_up_layered_with_kindness_carolpaynestamps1-1

I punched the Layered With Kindness greeting with the Label Me Lovely Punch, the added  retiring Noble Peacock Rhinestones (Gorgeous Grape). I even colored the tiny flourish under and above the rhinestones with a Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blend! The Highland Heather card front is embossed with the retiring Country Floral 3D embossing folder, then gently sponged with Highland Heather ink.

Stampin_up_layered_with_kindness_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I stamped and punched this Layered With Kindness sentiment with the Label Me Fancy punch.

Stampin_up_layered_with_kindness_carolpaynestamps8

I stamped the front and back of the envelope with Layered With Kindness images and Mint Macaron and Highland Heather ink.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Place With Burnt Edges

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Place With Burnt Edges

Hey there! I was MIA yesterday because I was very under-the-weather. I won't go in to all of the details, but I am on the mend now!

The card I'm sharing today came about as the result of almost non-existent mojo. When that happens I usually go way back to basics I learned when I first started stamping. Today's card features two techniques you hardly ever see anymore, "tearing" and "sponging".

The Garden Lane Designer Series Paper was still near my crafting space, so I pulled out one  of the prints that looked like the leaves were stamped with gold or Soft Suede. I chose a Soft Suede card base and Very Vanilla for my color palette.

Stampin_up_peaceful_place_carolpaynestamps1

After stamping the trees by the creek with Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla, I tore around the image, tearing the card stock toward me so I would get lots of layered edge. I then sponged it heavily with Soft Suede ink. Besides "sponging", this is sometimes called "burnt edges" because the sponged edges do kind of look like you held it next to a burning match!

Stampin_up_peaceful_place_carolpaynestamps3

I used the same tearing and sponging technique with the greeting.

Stampin_up_peaceful_place_carolpaynestamps5

I added a retiring Designer Element to the lower right corner.

Stampin_up_peaceful_place_carolpaynestamps6

I used a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker to only ink "thinking of you" from the sentiment, "Thinking of You with Gratitude for your Part in my Journey" to stamp on the inside sentiment layer. Sponging does get your fingers messy, so sometimes you end up sponging a little more than you planned just to cover up inky fingerprints! lol.
