Stampin’ Up! So Kind Big on You!

Hey there! Have you ever did something for one reason and then discovered later that what you did was actually for a completely different reason? I’ve been so preoccupied with prepping for my presentation on Saturday that I forgot to mention I earned the Stampin’ Up! Getaway Trip to Newport Beach, CA last week! Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! I am still in Tennessee this morning, but I'm going to post these cards without the creators names for now and when I get home tonight I will add them.

First, a pretty rendition of Painted Petals with a Something Lacy background. The "HAPPY BIRTH DAY" greeting is from the Honeycomb Hello set.

Next, the gold foil butterfly really pops on the Crisp Cantaloupe paper over a Basic Black Something Lacy background. A Gold Glimmer paper banner and gold basic buttons continue the theme.

For this swap a Daffodil Delight Something Lacy background was paired with a Blackberry Bliss Crazy about You flower. The Lost Lagoon card base and 3/5" Stitched Satin ribbon is the perfect background and complement.

Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White was paired with the For the New Two stamp set for this tri-fold wedding card. The flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack was used to punch the blooms, which are centered with Pearls Basic Jewels.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there. Today is a special day. Our youngest grand-babies, Lando and Darcy, are going to be dedicated to the Lord in the morning service. Parents and grandparents promise to raise these babies to know and love the Lord. It is a humbling but awesome responsibility.

Raedean Shibata combined the Dictionary background and the Bravo set for her graduation creation:

She used Stars Framelits, adding a second Basic Black star behind the Dictionary-stamped one for a subtle shadow effect. She added a Silver Foil star and used the Confetti Stars punch. She used a bit of Epic Day Designer Washi Tape (Basic Gray stripes) and All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape (dots) which is still available on the Clearance Rack for half price!

Stampin’ Up! Another Thank You and Newest Weekly Deals!

Hey there! I had a relaxing girls-day-out yesterday: lunch with two of my daughters at Applebee's, a bit of shopping where I found my favorite Clark's sandals on sale, and then a long-overdue mani-pedi! yay!

Today's card I created for the bride-to-be to use for her thank-you's. We gave all shower attendees the envelope to fill out their name and address to make it easier for the bride. I kept with the bride's color scheme of Crumb Cake, Pool Party, and Very Vanilla to create this:

I couldn't resist pulling out my retired Cannery Framelits Dies because they just went perfectly with the theme, and I was delighted to discover that the "thank you" I chose from the photopolymer Another Thank You set had teeny-tiny hearts lined up under the words!

After I cut out the canning jar with the Cannery Framelit, I embossed it with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Folder. I tied a bit of Linen Thread around the top of the can, then adhered a heart punched from the same white-embossed Something Lacy that I used on the table decorations using the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

I found hearts that matched the Itty Bitty Shapes heart punch in both the Honeycomb Hello and the Hello Life stamp sets. I also used these same two hearts to stamp on the Crumb Cake envelope. I decided to leave the rest of the inside layer blank so the bride would have plenty of room to write her thank-you notes.
