Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You!

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You!

Hey there! Are you getting ready to have a fun long weekend? I sure am! A little trip to Branson with my hubby! I'm excited! yay!

It's September, so it's definitely time for fall cards. Today I have one I created with the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper and the Acorny Thank You stamp set:
Stampin_up_acorny_thank_you_1 - Copy
I cut panels for the front layer from Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. With it's white background, the images in this paper really pop!

The larger panels measure 1 7/8" x 3 1/8" and the smaller panels are 1 7/8" x 1 7/8'. They are mounted on the 4" x 5 1/4" Rich Razzleberry layer with SNAIL.

I stamped one of the  acorns from Acorny Thank You and punched it out with the coordinating Acorn Builder Punch. This set and punch are bundled in the Holiday catalog to save you 15%. After stamping the greeting from Acorny Thank You with Soft Suede ink, I added a leaf stamped with Lighthearted Leaves and cut with a Leaflets Framelit. I tied them together with a bit of thread pulled from the burlap ribbon, and added an Into the Woods Element for the final touch.

Inside I stamped more leaves and acorns. The cute little "grateful for you" sentiment is included in Acorny Thank You.

Stampin’ Up! Lighthearted Leaves Again!

Stampin’ Up! Lighthearted Leaves Again!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning. I'm at Liam & Darcy's house, babysitting while their mommy & daddy are at school and work. Pretty much all of my weekday mornings from now until the end of the school year will be spent this these adorable little ones. I will , of course, have weekends & school holidays "off", and most days I will be heading home a little after 1 p.m., so there will still be time to stamp! I'm so thankful I get to be their grammie!

Today I am sharing another card I made using the Lighthearted Leaves set for a swap I was in this past month. You can check out my first Lighthearted Leaves card HERE. Today's card I stamped the background layer with more images from the LIghthearted Leaves set using Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Delightful Dijon ink.

Stampin_up_lighthearted_leaves_1 - Copy

I used the same "emboss resist" technique to sponge color over the leaf image I cut out with the Leaflets Framelits Dies. Mossy Meadow 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon and a bit of thread from 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon complement the rustic fall look.

Stampin_up_lighthearted_leaves_2 - Copy

The greeting is cut with the banner framelit from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims die, and accented with a Cajun Craze Candy Dot.

Just ONE MORE SLEEP until the Holiday Catalog goes live for ordering! yay!

Starting September 1st you can order anything you want from the Annual AND the Holiday Catalogs in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day!

Hey there! I have A LOT of great swaps right now, so I'm adding Saturday Swap Day in addition to Sunday so I can share more!

Fall lasts through the end of November, but Halloween is over on October 31, so I'm sharing Halloween swaps today.

Kim Vogel combined Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, Spider Web Doily, and  Among the Branches stamps. She colored the tiny pearl black eyes below "spooky"  with a black Sharpie:

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_1

Raedean Shibata heat-embossed "spooky" Among the Branches with black powder on Daffodil Delight card stock, adding a Spider Web Doily and stamping the "spooky eyes" multiple times for a "flying bat" look:

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_4

Jan Rodrian's card is proof you can turn any set into a birthday card with the right sentiments!

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_2

Happy Haunting Designer Paper, Among the Branches, Wisteria Wonder 1/2" Seam Binding on the front, then sentiments from Age Awareness and Sassy Salutations, adding in a crow from Among the branches. So inventive!

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_3

Kelly Acheson used Howl-o-ween Treat and Boo to You Framelits Bundle. New Black Glimmer Paper add sparkly touches, and the Confetti Stars Border Punch lends a "magical" look!

Stampin_up_Howl_o_ween_Treat_1

Inside:

Stampin_up_Howl_o_ween_Treat_2

Kathy Morgan used the "Corner Flip" fold with Howl-o_ween Treat and Timeless Elegance Designer Paper. She inked between the black stripes with a brayer and Tangerine Tango ink before stamping happy little spiders with black.

The hat and jack-o-lantern are easy to cut with Boo To You Framelits!

Stampin_up_howl_o_ween_treat_3

Silver Mini-brads and Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape are finishing touches.

Stampin_up_howl_o_ween_treat_4

Finally, Rachel Yurkanin went out-of-the-box with Howl-o-ween Treat to create a baby card!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Hey there! I've had a GREAT weekend! Grandbabies here for Halloween, craft fair on Saturday, a party on Sunday afternoon. Throw in the time-change last night and I'm happy-but-exhausted!

Our first little trick-or-treater this year was Oakley the baby ghost! He was all bundled up warm as toast inside his cut-out pillowcase. His hat underneath helped hold out the eye holes:

Oakly Halloween 2014

Yes, he is a baby ghost with a pacifier!

Of course, if you really NEED to see better, all you have to do is move the holes around a bit:

Oakley, Liam (as Anakin Skywalker), and Jaxon (as Mickey Mouse):

Payne Clan Halloween 2014

The Hollis kids: Mickey Jaxon, Cavegirl Ava, and Minecraft Cohen!

Hollis kids Halloween 2014

Thanks for enduring my proud grandma moment. As a reward, here's today's swaps, all created  using the Wondrous Wreath Bundle:

Mary Ellen Byler created a lovely white-washed look with the Hardwood Background, faintly stamped on Smoky Slate. Love her non-traditional color combo of Pistachio Pudding, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss:

Stampin_up_wondrouns_wreath_1

Not sure of this ones' creator, but it's perfect simplicity in Whisper White, Smok Slate and Silver heat embossing.

Stampin_up_wondrous_wreath_3
This is also a nameless beauty using Trim the Tree Designer Paper Stack and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details for the berries.

Stampin_up_wondrous_wreath_2

That's all for now. Check back tomorrow to see the cards in the November Online Christmas Card Class. To get the kit, just place a $35 order in my online store using this Hostess Code: VW4XC9RH With yucky weather and an uber-busy weekend I've not had a chance to photograph them. Will get that done pronto tomorrow and posted for you!

Here's today's main products. Order through my Online Store:

Until tomorrow, have a Stamingrox! day!
