Stampin’Up! Everybunny

Stampin’Up! Everybunny

Just a quick post to catch you up a bit. I am posting from my SIL's house in TN. We are here for a short visit till Sunday evening. I had planned to set up posts for while we were gone, but we had wind gusts on Friday of up to 45 mph which blinked our power off and on rapidly several times before going off completely for a few hours. The aftermath of this blinking is the router for our internet seems to be ruined and it will be at least Monday before we can get our internet provider to replace it. My posts will be spotty until this is resolved. I am posting from my SIL's internet.

Here's a cute little swap card I received at Leadership from Patti McDermott with the adorable set "Everybunny":

Patti is a real watercolor artist, something I'm afraid I will never be, but I just had to share this with you since Easter will be upon us before we know it!

I have some really adorable stuff I am dying to show you, I just can't share until the internet issues are resolved, but until then I hope you have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Sent Everyday Elegance Quick Easter Card!

My hostess yesteday had asked for an Easter card, so along with yesterday's card and two others, we made this with the Simply Sent Everyday Elegance Card Kit and the stamp set, "He is Risen"!

The Baja Breeze card front is already embossed when they come in the package! At $11.95 for the supplies to make 8 cards, this is acutally a very good deal!

Here's the Clear-Mount Kit:

Easter is on it’s way!

Easter is on it’s way!

I'm starting to get ready for a couple of vendor fairs this month, so thought some Easter projects would be appropriate. This bunny I gleaned the general idea for from the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator exclusive website, Stampin' Connection, but I changed him up some and attached him to a Big Shot Fancy Favor box, then added a handle to make him into an Easter Basket! The box was wheeled with the "Daisy Dash" Jumbo wheel with Certainly Celery ink on the Certainly Celery cardstock. For the bunny face  and body on the backside of the box I cut my Naturals White cardstock with the biggest Scallop Circle Die, then used the Wide Oval punch, Scalloped Oval punch, Small Heart punch, 1/2" Circle punch, and 3/4" Circle punch.

Here's this bunny's backside! I punched three pieces of Pretty in Pink Designer paper with the Scallop Circle punch, scrunched them up, pierced a hole in the center with my Paper Piercing Tool, added a brad to center to hold them all together, then attached it all to the back of the bunny with Stampin' Dimesionals!

To take this bunny theme one step further, I made a matching Bunny card, this time using the Big Shot Scallop Circle #2 Die. All the punches used ar ethe same as for the bunny box, and I added the  "Easter Wishes" from the Occasions Mini Level 2 Hostess set, "Something to Celebrate", punched out with the Wide Oval punch and layered on the  Scallop Oval punch!

The inside phrase is from "Something Sweet", and I love the combo of the Scallop Circle punched and layered on the Pretty in Pink polka dot Designer Paper Decorative label. I continued the bunny theme with the darling little rabbit from a set you can get free right now during SAB,  "So Cute"!

Easter Blossoms Workshop Card!

Easter Blossoms Workshop Card!

Here's another card you will get to make at my workshops this month. If you attend (or host) a two-card free party, you will get to make this card using the "Easter Blossoms" stamp set and "Springtime Vintage" Designer Series Paper, both from the Occasions Mini! The "birthday wishes" is from the Level 3 Hostess set, "Occasional Quotes", and after this card is complete you can spritz it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz for some added shimmer! I CASED this card from Kimbery Van Diepen, who CASED it from a sample Shelli Gardner showcased onstage at Leadership, so this card has a great heritage! There are actually two different ribbon versions of this card available, this one uses Crumb Cake Seam Binding with a Baja Breeze "Vintage Flower Adornment" from the Occasions Mini!

Easter blossoms crumb cake©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

This version is identical to the first one, with the exception of using Marina Mist 3/8" Taffeta ribbon and a Very Vanilla "Vintage Flower Adornment"! The "Vintage Flower Adornments" come in a package of 24, 8 each of three colors: Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, and Rose Red. At $5.95, these little beauties are economical and gorgeous! They remind me of the cream cheese mints that are often served at wedding receptions here in Southern Illinois, I have had to resist the urge to taste them! lol!

Here's the inside of both cards, but you will have to work hard to try to duplicate the smear I accomplished in my hast to finish up my card! ha! At the workshop you will have the choice of several great phrases from the "Herb Expressions" set that will be on the table for you to use! I punched my smeary phrase with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, then layered it on top of a 3/4" wide strip of "Springtime Vintage" Designer Paper. Seems like I always have lots of little pieces of Designer Paper scraps when I am working on a project, so adding just a little strip of my leftovers to the inside really helps bring the card together inside & out!

Crosses of Hope!

Crosses of Hope!

One of my hostesses last month, Stephanie Little, requested a card using the set, "Crosses of Hope", which was a set I didn't have, but am really enjoying now that I have it. Here is my creation for her party, a sample I CASED from another demo, and  a couple more swaps I received just this past month, so I have a mini-collection with this set for my display!

We embossed Cardstock Vellum with the "Vintage Wallpaper" Textured Impressions Folder, then attached it to the Marina Mist cardstock base with Mini glue-dots behind the busy-ness of the embossed vellum. Usually it is tricky to attach vellum to anything because the adhesive shows, but after embossing, it's easy to get a clean, finished look! It's really a simple card, I just embossed the cross in the Bashful Blue center with Versamark and White embossing powder, then added a Basic Jewel Pearl in the center! "Thinking of You" is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes", and we stamp the inside verse (not shown) is from "God's Blessings". This card can be tailored to any occasions just by using these two sets!

This is the first of the two "Crosses of Hope" swaps I received, this one by Dianne O'Connor, uses Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride, a beautiful combo!

Ruth Bingle created this sample, coloring in the Staz-on Black stamped cross with our Stampin' Write markers in Perfect Plum, So Saffron, and Pear Pizzazz! The "Easter Wishes" phrase is from "Something to Celebrate", the Level 2 Hostess set in the Occasions Mini!

Last, here is a card I CASED from Brandy Cox. I used the "Framed Tulips" Textured Impressions Folder with Garden Green and So Saffron cardstock, then cut them diagonally in half with the Paper cutter. I black embossed the cross before coloring with markers, blotting the excess ink from the embossing with a tissue, (if you don't blot the excess, it will never dry on the embossing and you'll have a mess!) cutting out with Paper Snips, then running the side of a Basic Black marker around the edges of the cross before SNAILING the cut out cross to the Whisper White background.

My downline, Linda, is a fantastic stamper. She emailed me this card today. She used the Floral Background, Sincere Salutations , and Live Your Dream,a new set in the Occasions Mini that begins on March 1st. This set coordinates with the designs in the new Designer Series Paper also in the Occasions mini, Afternoon Tea. Linda used Wild Wasabi, Apricot Appeal , Soft Sky, and Whisper White cardstock, as well as Wild Wasabi Designer Series Paper from the Level One Hostess Set, Prints Pack . Live Your Dream is in an order on it’s way to me right now, I can’t wait! If you haven’t received your copy of the Occasions mini by now, give me a call or email me and I’ll make sure you get one right away!

I had another snow day today! I have been catching up on alot of things that have been on the back burner for quite awhile, so I’m excited to start to feel relieved and have more time for my favorite past-time, stamping! I hope to have more cute projects to show you soon, so check back often!
