Stampin’ Up! Cozy Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Christmas!

Hey there! I stamped a couple of new projects last night!

I finally ordered the Hearth & Home Framelits and Fesitve Fireplace stamps. There's so many adorable sets with matching framelits or punches in the Holiday Catalog!

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_1 - Copy

I heat-embossed  the kitty from Festive Fireplace with silver powder on Basic Black, then cut out with a Festive Fireplace Framelit. Ms Kitty is perched on a Basic Gray layer dry-embossed with the Brick Wall folder.

The greeting is from the Oh, What Fun set. I punched the ends with the Curvy Corners Trio Punch, then added the bough of evergreens from Festive Fireplace, heat-embossed with clear powder on Mossy Meadow and cut with a Festive Fireside framelit.

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_2 - Copy

I heat-embossed Santa's sleigh with black powder on Island Indigo, then heat-embossed stars from To You & Yours Too with white powder.

My Embossing Buddy was truly my best friend on this card!

"Happy Christmas" and the little holly sprigs are both from Oh What Fun.

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 3!

Hey there! Today I have the final set of cards from my team meeting Monday night!

First, Cathy Lingle used Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum for her background,

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 2!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 2!

Hey there! I had a lovely day yesterday with Jessica! We usually take a day to go shopping sometime around her birthday, so we booked the day way back in August so we could make it happen!

Today I'm babysitting Liam and Darcy at their house. I'm making very slow progress on this blog post because we have started potty training Liam. He and I are running to the potty on a 15 minute timer! I brought along the swaps from the Mam's Shoebox Swap  Monday night so I could share a couple of cards with you. Hopefully I will get this post done before bedtime!

Becky Anderson used the Wonderland stamp set and Woodland Textured Impressions Folder for her simple-but elegant swap. The snow flakes were stamped with now-retired Metallic Gold Encore ink, but why not use it if you have it? The snowflakes and the greeting are both included in the Wonderland set, and the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum she used to stamp the greeting on is just the right touch!

Stampin_up_wonderland_1

Jan Lacey also used the Wonderland set and Woodland Textured Impressions folder for her swap that CASEd a technique and creation by Cynthia Millan:

Stampin_up_wonderland_2

This is a gorgeous technique I'd been dying to try!

Stampin_up_wonderland_3

We inked just the birdie from one of the stamps in the Happy Scenes set with a Basic Black marker to stamp on the branch, then colored with a Blender Pend and Real Red ink!

That's all for now! In addition to running Liam to the potty every 15 minutes (which feels like very 5 lol!) I'm on my new laptop and the mouse pad is extremely sensitive, which results in frequently erasing half of what I've typed every few sentences, eek! I've got to get one of my tech-savy sons to see if they can fix that for me!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 1!

Hey there! Today I have three of the swaps I stamped at my team Monthly Inspiration Meeting on Monday night!

Tina Biby's swap using the Happy Scenes stamp set and Cozy Christmas Designer Series Paper. She had us add Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the trees and snow with a 2-way glue pen. Super-duper quick and easy!

  Stampin_up_happy_scenes

Angela Henson used the Joyful Season set for her swap, adding pretty corners with the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch!

Stampin_up_joyful_season_1

Angela taught us a new We used an Aqua Painter filled with rubbing alcohol to pick up Real Red ink from the lid of the inkpad, then tapped the painter on our finger to flick the diluted color onto the project in pretty splatters. I have done the splatter technique before with glue mixed with water, but not alcohol and ink!

Stampin_up_joyful_season_2

Finally, Joanne Cantrell also used Joyful Season for her swap. She had us stamp tone-on-tone with Cherry Cobbler ink on the Cherry Cobbler card base with the berry branch, then had us add a bow punched with the Bow Builder Punch. We topped the bow with a star button from the Home for Christmas Designer Buttons pack.

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Stampers Shoebox Swap!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Stampers Shoebox Swap!

Hey there! I have a laptop again! yay! Last night I held my Monthly Inspiration Meeting for my local downline, the Yes, Mam! Stampers. We had a lovely time sharing, laughing, eating, and STAMPING!

This month's theme was a Shoebox Swap using Holiday Catalog products. Here's the picture of the gorgeous projects we made:

Stampin_up_mams_shoebox_swap

I don't have much time this morning to blog. I'm going to a funeral this morning. Not my favorite thing to do on my one day off from babysitting Liam and Darcy, but the funeral is for the sister of a couple of my dear stamping friends. They only had 2 weeks from her pancreatic cancer diagnosis to her passing. Sad.

I will be posting the above cards individually later this week so you can see them and the techniques used, so be sure to come back.

Becky Anderson brought this adorable little basket to hold the yummy chocolates she shared with us:

Stampin_up_into_the_woods_basket_1

She used a couple of my favorite designs from the Into the Woods Designer Paper. This basket is little but mighty! It held a WHOLE BAG of Dove chocolates with room to spare!
