Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop September Edition, Cards That MOVE!

Hey there! It's time for the September edition of the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! yay!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

Our theme this month is cards that move. You will be amazed at the varied and inspiring samples we have to share!

For my project I decided to use one of my favorite card folds, the Window Card. I wanted a fall theme, so I used Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper and Vintage Leaves.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps1

I pulled out Thoughts & Prayers for the sentiments. Fall colors work well for a sympathy card.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps2

This fun fold provides a lot of options to add sentiments, much more than the usual book-fold style card, but really doesn't take much more card stock.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps3

I also used the coordinating Leaflets Framelits to cut out the window and the leaves. Sponging with Early Espresso ink adds contrasting dimension.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps4

To make sure I placed the greeting leaf correctly through the window, I folded the card closed, then added dimensionals to the inside fold before placing the leaf.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps5

I stamped-off Cajun Craze ink for the leaf, then stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps6

I finished off the front by tying Kraft Rope Trim. After I knotted the ends I frayed it using a Paper-Piercing Tool.

Here's the supply list for my card. You can order all the supplies from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Coaster Calendars!

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Coaster Calendars!

Hey there! Today I have the rest of the Coaster Calendars to share with you!

I bought a MEGA-sized cookie sheet to display all 12 of them before I started giving them away at my Holiday Catalog Kick off:

Stampin_up_coaster_calendars_carolpaynestamps1

In addition to the Cozy Critters I used to embellish the calendars I showed you a few days ago, I also used Cookie-Cutter Christmas. First, I used the teddy bear:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_christmas_bear_carolpaynestamps1

Then, the eskimo:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_christmas_eskimo_carolpaynestamps1

Next, the gingerbread man:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_christmas_gingerbread_carolpaynestamps1

The reindeer:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_christmas_reindeer_carolpaynestamps1

And finally the Santa. I heat-embossed with white powder on Real Red card stock, then filled in areas with my White Stampin' Chalk marker.

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_christmas_santa_carolpaynestamps1

I added a white pom-pom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_santa_carolpaynestamps2

I cut out a couple of the gingerbread houses from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper for the last two calendars:

Stampin_up_candy_cane_lane_carolpaynestamps1

I backed all of the images with an extra layer of card stock for more stability.

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Critters Coaster Calendars Part 2!

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Critters Coaster Calendars Part 2!

Hey there! When I started creating these coaster calendars, pairing the Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper with the Cozy Critters Host Set, I just couldn't stop!

I love this one with the owl image from Cozy Critters!

Stampin_up_cozy_critters_owls_carolpaynestamps

I stamped him with Early Espresso, then punched with the Owl Builder Punch. I folded Real Red Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine into two lengths before tying in a double bow. I adhered the bow with a glue dot, then adhered the owl to the coaster calendar with two dimensionals piled on top of each other for height.

Stampin_up_cozy_critters_owls_carolpaynestamps2

I also made one with the toboggan from Cozy Critters.

Stampin_up_cozy_critters_santa_hat_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped it with Real Red, hand-cut it out, glued it to Real Red card stock, and then cut it out again. I added a single rhinestone for sparkle.

I still have more coaster calendars to share, so please come visit me again! Tomorrow is Sunday Swap day too!

Stampin’Up! Pop of Paradise Treat Bag!

Stampin’Up! Pop of Paradise Treat Bag!

Hey there! I've been seeing these treat bags around online for awhile, so I finally tried my hand at one! They are actually pretty easy, and roomy! I used the Pop of Paradise stamp set and Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper to embellish this one I created with an 5 1/2" x 11" piece of Basic Black card stock:

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_treat_bag_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

Gold embossing goes perfectly with the Melon Mambo flamingo! I embossed the leaves with clear powder on a Gold Foil Sheet, then hand-cut with Paper Snips. The "Thank You" banner is also gold embossed, but it looks quite different on Whisper White card stock.

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_treat_bag_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

Side view. The container area of this bag is 2" x 4 1/2", so it can hold quite a bit!

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_treat_bag_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

Lots of fancy-cutting with this one, but it was worth it!

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_treat_bag_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

I clear heat-embossed the pineapple stamp on Melon Mambo card stock, then cut a heart from the pineapple design with a new Sweet & Sassy heart framelit die. I used this as the closure for the bag by adhering with a couple of dimensionals to the front.

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_treat_bag_carolpaynestamps6 - Copy

I adhered the 1/8" Gold Taffeta closure loop under the designer paper layer on the back side of the bag.

You will be able to order the Pop of Paradise and Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper beginning on June 1st! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Love & Affection by Joanne!

Stampin’ Up! Love & Affection by Joanne!

Hey there! I have just a quick post this morning. I have my #imbringingbirthdaysback Birthday Card Class this afternoon and I need to get a couple of cards in the mail today before the P.O. closes. They are only open for about 30 seconds on Saturday mornings, so I have to move quick!

I will be back this evening to with the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop. That post will remain up through Monday morning, so be sure to come by sometime to see my masculine creation and to take the hop!

The project I have for you today was created by my downline, Joanne Cantrell, for our April Mam's Team Inspiration meeting. We have a challenge  every month. Everyone votes for their favorite from the submitted samples. Joanne has won the challenge two months in a row! Here's her winning April entry:

Stampin_up_love_and_affection_carolpaynestamps1

Joanne combined old and Sneak Peek products to create a really stunning card!

She used retiring Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Trim and pearls from the retiring Artisan Embellishment Kit with new Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper and Love & Affection stamps. She printed a template on the back of the designer paper to fold the skirt and to cut the bodice. I don't have the link she used, but I will try to find it and add it later.

Time is running short to order your favorites from the Retiring List! You can check it all out in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Paw Patrol Birthday Banner!

Stampin’ Up! Paw Patrol Birthday Banner!

Hey there! Today I have a banner I made for my photographer daughter, Jessica Hollis of Jessica Hollis Photography, for a photo session:

Stampin_up_paw_patrol_banner_carolpaynestamps_3

The session was for a four-year-old little boy who loves Paw Patrol, so the request was for a banner that would coordinate with the theme. After a bit of investigation as to what the Paw Patrol actually looked like, I determined that using primary colors of Real Red and Pacific Point with Basic Black letters and Silver Glimmer stars might just be perfect!

Stampin_up_paw_patrol_banner_carolpaynestamps_2

I used a retired Big Shot Alphabet to cut the letters because we don't have a current large alphabet in the catalog. I cut three of each letter, stacking them on top of each other with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhering to the banner with dimensionals. I punched the little stars with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and the larger star at the bottom with the Medium Star Punch. I embossed the center of the background on the Pacific Point banners with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder and the centers of the Real Red banners with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_paw_patrol_banner_carolpaynestamps_1

I punched holes in the top of each banner with my 1/4" Hand-held Circle Punch, then threaded 1/8" Silver Ribbon through for the hanger.

Last year I created a three-year-old banner for the same birthday boy. You can view it by clicking HERE.

You can order the supplies to make your own Paw Patrol banner from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
