Stampin’ Up! Creative Crew CCREW1217SK Challenge with Nature Sings!

Stampin’ Up! Creative Crew CCREW1217SK Challenge with Nature Sings!

Hey there! The December Creative Crew Gallery  on Splitcoaststampers opens today! I'm really excited about the projects I'm sharing, so I'm showing you the first of them today!

I used Starlight Thinlet Dies to create the snowflakes and Nature Sings from the Annual Catalog for the stamped images to create my card for the Sketch Challenge:

Here's the sketch:

Winter wonderland sketch

Following the sketch challenge, I cut strips 1 1/8" wide and varying lengths from Soft Sky, Marina Mist, and Whisper White card stock. After adhering to the Basic Black 4" x 5 1/4" layer, I embossed it all with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I cut Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with Starlight Thinlet Dies, then layered together or just adhered singly to the card front with glue dots. I centered each with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

I stamped the Nature Sings greeting with Dapper Denim ink on Whisper White, then cut out with a Bunch of Banners Framelit. I cut off the right side so it would fit in the space allotted for the greeting. Before I adhered with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals I rolled the edges of the banner directly on the Dapper Denim ink pad for a "faux layer" look. A couple of Rhinestones finish the banner off nicely.

Inside I stamped another Nature Sings sentiment with Dapper Denim ink.

After stamping the little group of trees from Nature Sings in Dapper Denim ink I dabbed and doodled with my Fine Tip Glue Pen, the sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I left the card open for awhile to let the glue/glitter dry.

I stamped the envelope with the same trees and another Nature Sings sentiment. I love this card!

Stampin’ Up! Serene Indigo Scenery Star of Light!

Stampin’ Up! Serene Indigo Scenery Star of Light!

Hey there! I'm back today with the third card I created while I was playing with the Star of Light Thinlets! Soooo pretty!

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps7

For this one I used Island Indigo for the card base, and used the same Serene Scenery Designer Paper Stack to layer before embossing again with the Sparkle folder.

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps9

I think I like the Island Indigo card base better than yesterday's card with Sahara Sand. It just give a more intense, night sky look.

The Precision Base Plate is a MUST when cutting these detailed Thinlet dies.

I stamped the "Shine" sentiment with Island Indigo ink and cut out with a Tags & Labels Framelit. I adhered a strip of Silver Sequin trim with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I think I like the inside stamped with Island Indigo ink better too.

Stampin’ Up! Serene Scenery Star of Light!

Stampin’ Up! Serene Scenery Star of Light!

Hey there! While I was playing with the Star of Light bundle for the October Online Class I created more cards, one of which I am sharing today and the other one tomorrow!

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps1

I used a piece of Serene Scenery Designer Paper Stack for the background, mounted on Sahara Sand and embossed with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps4

I peeled the backing from the Silver Glimmer Paper before cutting with the Starlight Thinlet die. After cutting with the Precision Base Plate under it instead of the regular acrylic cutting pad, I rolled the Die Brush over it a few times and the tiny pieces fell out easily!

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps5

I love all of the images and sentiments in the Star of Light set. I stamped these with Dapper Denim ink and added a few rhinestones for more sparkle

Stampin_up_star_of_light_carolpaynestamps6

The "milky way" image adds so much to the starry night look!
