Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Stampers Holiday Catalog Shoebox Swap!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Stampers Holiday Catalog Shoebox Swap!

Hey there! Monday Night I hosted a meeting for my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers.  There were 10 of us stamping, chatting, laughing, and sharing!

The bulk of our meeting was a "shoebox swap". Everyone designed a card, prepped the cardstock, etc., then gathered all of the supplies needed into a "shoebox". We then made each other's cards, having a lot of fun in the process! I'll share half of them today and the rest tomorrow.

First, Angela Black's swap was designed using the Making Christmas Bright Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. We punched a bunch of "petals" with the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch from Wood Textures Designer Paper, then sponged with Crushed Curry ink to create the sunflowers. The sentiment from Love What You Do is stamped directly on an Wood Textures Designer Paper layer:

Stampin_up_making_christmas_bright_carolpaynestamps1

Cathy Lingle created her swap with Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and the Timeless Tidings stamp set. She embellished with Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim, and a Galvanized Button, and used the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions folder on the Mossy Meadow card front.

Finally for today (there will be more swaps tomorrow!) Ruthanne Lewis created an easy little treat pouch with a 6" x 6" piece of designer series paper, then turned it into a sucker-holder simply by snipping a little hole in the bottom for the stick to go through! She used a Detailed with Love sentiment, punched with the Pretty Label Punch.

Swirls & Curls Birthday Card for Ivory!

Swirls & Curls Birthday Card for Ivory!

Hey there! We celebrated Ivory's 2nd birthday yesterday, and today I want to share her card with you!

The wrapping paper Darcy helped me pick out to wrap Ivory's gifts had cupcakes all over it, so I decided to make a cupcake card to match!

Stampin_up_birthday_banners_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions folder for a swirling icing look. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Corrugated Dynamic folder, then hand-trimmed it to size with the half-circle I punched with the 2 1/4" Circle Punch. I smeared the Melon Mambo cupcake top with Shimmery White Embossing Paste for icing. Stampin' Up! currently doesn't have any number dies, so I did use a retired set I still keep in my stash for just these occasions!

Stampin_up_birthday_banners_carolpaynestamps2

I tied 16" of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon into a bow for some girly "fluff"!

Stampin_up_birthday_banners_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I stamped images and sentiments from the Birthday Banners set!

Carol Payne Stamps Sunday Swap Day October 7th!

Carol Payne Stamps Sunday Swap Day October 7th!

Hey there! It's the first Sunday of October and time for Sunday Swap Day! yay!

First, a often-overlooked  but lovely set from the Holiday Catalog, Pleasant Pheasants, was the choice of Carol Slack for her swap. She used the Buffalo Check to create her background, which gives it so much warmth with the Early Espresso ink on Cajun Craze!

Stampin_up_pleasant_pheasants_carolpaynestamps1

Carol stamped the pheasants with Cajun Craze ink, then used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to move the color over them while at the same time adding shimmer!

Stampin_up_pleasant_pheasants_carolpaynestamps2

The inside features a lovely sentiment that is included in the set:

Stampin_up_pleasant_pheasants_carolpaynestamps3

Cards created by Mary Lang never disappoint! Mary also used Pleasant Pheasants, but she focused on the wheelbarrow, bucket, and foliage for her autumnal creation. She embossed the Cajun Craze background with the Swirls and Curls Textured Impressions folder for more interest.

Stampin_up_pleasant_pheasants_carolpaynestamps4

Mary's creation is an easel-fold Thanksgiving card!

Finally, Linda Pagel also used the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions folder to emboss the Night of Navy background of this clean-and-simple Winter Woods card.

Linda used Silver Embossing Powder to give the trees dimension and shine. This card could be used for any occasion!
