Stampin’ Up! To Have & To Hold!

Hey there! Last Saturday we attended the wedding shower for Grace, my soon-to-be-first daughter-in-law! After wrapping her gift in pretty Hallmark paper, I wanted to make a card to coordinate:

I used To Have & To Hold for the "Mr & Mrs" and "happiness fits you well", Climbing Roses for the "Sending Love", and Meant to Be for the "Meant to Be", all from the Occasions Catalog.

My color palette to coordinate with the wrapping paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Whisper White, Balmy Blue, and Gold embossing.

I added Share What You Love Artisan Pearls for added elegance. The tiny Balmy Blue hearts are from the "Love You to Pieces" set.

Sunday I created this card to have for display with a subtle change: I heat embossed the Meant to Be heart with gold on a separate white scrap, cut it out with a Be Mine Framelit, then adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I like the heart cut out and popped up even better!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Piece of Cake!

Hey there! For Sunday Swap Day I want to share ideas created with the Piece of Cake bundle!

First, Linda Pagel created a very crisp birthday card, combining Piece of Cake with the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Layered Squares Framelits:

She put a banner created with the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper and colored Rhinestones with a Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend.

Sharon McNeely also used the Dot to Dot folder to emboss the Bermuda Bay background. She colored the cake with Pineapple Punch, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends. She cut the greeting banner with a Needlepoint Elements Framelit and threaded Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon through the ends.

Amy Storrie also used the Dot to Dot folder to emboss the Pineapple Punch background before layering on a print from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper pack. The sentiments fit perfectly in the Classic Label Punch.

Monica Gale spritzed Calypso Coral mixed with rubbing alcohol, then splashed drops of water to get the splotchy look. A layer of Silver Glimmer paper and a ribbon of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle are the finishing touches.

We began and are ending with another creation by Linda Pagel. She used the very popular Dot to Dot Textured Impressions folder and a color combo of Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White.

Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake Bundle!

Hey there! I make a lot of cards with the Big Shot die cutting machine, framelits, thinlits, and embossing folders that match many of our stamp sets, but Stampin' Up! also has toys to fit almost any crafting budget. The Piece of Cake Bundle is a perfect example!

I used the Piece of Cake Bundle from the Occasions Catalog, (page 18):

The Cake Builder Punch cuts both the cake stand and the cake! I colored with Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana, and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers.

Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be Valentine!

Hey there! Today I have a Valentine card created with the Meant to Be bundle that matches the 2-4-6-8 box I shared with you yesterday!

I was inspired by a card created by Lynn Feldkamp that I shared with you on last Sunday's Swap Day:

I used Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, and Powder Pink card stock with All My Love Designer Series Paper, cutting out all of the hearts with Be Mine Framelits.

Such a pretty font for this sentiment! I colored the Heart Epoxy Droplet with a Lovely Lipstick Dark Stampin' Blends Marker, then added it over the apostrophe.

After tying the Lovely Lipstick 1/2" Ribbon in a bow, I adhered to the end of the heart with liquid glue.

I really like this sentiment! I will be using it after Valentine's Day is over!

I stamped the three hearts with only one inking of the stamp to get three shades of Lovely Lipstick!

Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be Valentine!

Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be Two Four Six Eight Box!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you an oldie-but-goodie, the 2, 4, 6, 8 Box! This fun fold box has been around for ages, but it's till fresh when you use the most current products!

I combined the Meant to Be Bundle with All My Love Designer Series Paper, highlighting Lovely Lipstick, Powder Pink, and Whisper White to create a sweet little box to hold a few treats.

The body of the box is embossed with the Tufted Dynamic Folder:

Be Mine Framelits cut the hearts and I colored a Heart Epoxy Droplet with a Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend.

The box dimensions for cutting & scoring. It only takes half a sheet of card stock for one box!

After scoring, then cut and fold:

After assembly, pinch the sides in:

Flatten together:

Hold the top closed with a Lovely Lipstick Mini Binder Clip and embellish with a bit of ribbon:

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop January 2019 Let’s Sale-a-brate!

Hey there ! Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Our January theme: "Let's Sale-a-brate!"

I used Sale-a-bration Home to Roost and four colors for a single-layer card:

I started by dragging my opened Sahara Sand inkpad across the bottom of a Very Vanilla Note Card. This technique is called "direct-to-paper". I then dragged Crushed Curry and then Cajun Craze, letting it look uneven and rustic.

I added the rooster, tall grass, and sentiment with Early Espresso ink, then flicked the edges of the card against the inkpad to "sponge" the edges.

I kept the inside super-simple by stamping-off the ink once before stamping the grass, and then stamping the sentiment with full-strength ink.
