Stampin’ Up! One Last Valentine For This Year!

Happy Valentine's Day! What are you doing for your sweetie today?

Depending on what my hubby's schedule dictates today, I hope to make him a yummy supper tonight, although I may have to make a grocery run so I have a few special things that are his favorites!

I found one more Valentine swap picture from Leadership that I wanted to share with you here:

This card combines a bunch of cool Occasions Catalog products and a technique that is hot right now in the blog world, Chalkboarding!

More Amore Designer Series Paper is the card base background with an Oval Accent Bigz Die Real Red flap on the right side. Hearts a Flutter heart stamps and Hearts a Flutter and Hearts Framelits cut everything out perfectly! All of the Basic Black hearts are treated with the Chalkboarding technique, with the largest heart stamped with the "You're in MY thoughts, YOU'RE in my heart" from Word Play.

The left side of the card is embellished with Pool Party Seam Binding tied in a loopy bow, with a Designer Builder Brad and Linen Thread accenting the center.

I will be featuring the Chalkboarding technique, but with a different card of course, in my March Punch/Technique Class, so check back with me after the two classes are over to see how it's done!

I'd better let you go for now. I also have to begin TAX PREPARATIONS today! Farmer's & Fishermen have to have their taxes submitted by the end of February, so not much time left!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts a Flutter Valentines Swaps!

With Valentine's Day coming up tomorrow, I thought I'd better show you these cute swaps I took pictures of at Leadership. I have no idea who created them, but they are simply awesome!

All were created with the "Hearts a Flutter" stamp set!

This first one has clean lines. Love the Chevron folder on the Whisper White card base! Greeting from the free SAB set, "Bloomin' Marvelous"!

Solid flower heart in center is from "Spring Sampler".

This one is also very clean & simple. The hearts have been punched with the Postage Stamp Punch. Greeting from Friendly Phrases. Primrose Petals cardstock, ink, and ribbon.

This one is a little more involved, but I love the color combo of Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Real Red, and Basic Black! The little touch of Silver Glimmer Paper (yours when you host a $150 party during Sale-a-bration) really makes the Owl-punched Basic Black heart pop!

Before we get started today, I want to show you what was in my living room last night:

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In July we will greet our 4th grandson! We are so excited!!!!!

No name yet, but I'll keep you posted when one is decided!

Before we had the big reveal, Jessica brought the grandkids to my house so we could get their valentines made. Remember I showed them to you a few days ago.

I also gave them all their Valentine gifts from me yesterday. I won't be seeing them on Valentine's Day, and the gifts for Maddie Kate and Ava were valentine-themed cooking kits, so I got them wrapped and ready for them to open while they were at my house.

After I gathered everything together, I realized I had NO VALENTINE WRAPPING PAPER (GASP!) but it only took me a half a second to realize that I HAVE PUNCHES, so nothing to worry about!

I was trying to be gender-neutral because when I wrapped it we didn't know he was a boy yet! A little girly-looking, but I used the blue gingham side of the pink gingham wrapping paper I used for the girls to tone it down!

That's all for today! I will leave you with one more picture from last night. When we received the news that Alisa & Cody were expecting, they gave us this onesie with the name "Swody" on it, but it was all black and white, no color. Well, "Swody" has color now!

Stampin’ Up! Heart Punches to the Rescue!

Stampin’ Up! Blooming With Kindness Honeycomb! What’s Liam Up to this Week?

The most popular card at my CampJustWannaStamp! class this past Saturday was this one with the Blooming With Kindness set and Beautiful Wings Embosslit butterflies!

Here's the inside:

This card would be a perfect encouragement, get well, or sympathy card. I inked the flower stamp from the set with Not Quite Navy ink, stamped off once before stamping on the un-embossed Very Vanilla layer, then kept stamping, finally "huffing" on the remaining ink on the stamp before stamping the final few times.

The "Hope is . . " phrase is was stamped in Early Espresso over a stamped-off flower, then punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.
