Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 22nd, Happiness Abounds!

Hey there! Today is a special day for Troy, Grace, and Scarlett. Today at church Scarlett will be dedicated to the Lord. This ceremony does not save her, nor does it usher her into church membership; it is the public declaration of her parents and family to raise her in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Her Papa and I will be there to witness and give our affirmation that we will participate in her upbringing in a godly way and that we will not cease to pray for her.

Today is also another day for sharing swaps, and I have a lovely collection to share with you all created with the Hues of Happiness Collection of products (and a few more!)

First, a lovely card created by Rhonda Bassler with the Happiness Abounds Bundle and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper:

Next, Nikki Barnhart cut some of the blooms from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper with Blossoming Happiness Dies, then coordinated it with Gorgeous Grape card stock and ink. Love the 3/4" White Frayed Ribbon on the side.

Karen Titus combined Hues of Happiness Designer Paper blooms with the Bottled Happiness Bundle of stamps and punch! Tahitian Tide is the card base and the ink that stamped the bottle.

Rachel Traudt stamped, cut, and colored Happiness Abounds blooms with Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends, then layered them on Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper. She added a greeting from Happiness Abounds, stamped with Tahitian Tide ink and cut with a Stylish Shapes die, as well as Tahitian Tide 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon and some Pool Party Glossy Dots.

Somewhere I've lost the creator's name of this simple card created with Hues of Happiness Designer paper and an sentiment from Bottled Happiness. The sentiment is cut with a Tailor Made Tags die and accented with  Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.

Lastly, Krista Wilson created an elegant card for any occasion with Basic White thick, Basic White, Hues of Happiness Designer Paper, Blossoming Happiness dies, and White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Sunny Splash!

Hey there! Today's card is a mix of two stamp sets and a completely unrelated set of dies! I combined the Sunny Splash stamp set, Waves of Inspiration stamp set, Palms Dies, AND the Cloud Punch to create this fun card!

I stamped the curling wave from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set using the Stamparatus so I could make sure the large image made good contact with the Basic White layer. I inked the wave with Tahitian Tide ink first, then used a Blending Brush to add Starry Sky ink before stamping. I punched cloud stencils with the Cloud Punch and a Post-It Note so I could use a Blending Brush to add Tahitian Tide ink to the sky and leave the cloud outlines. I cut the palm tree using the Palm Dies from Basic Black card stock, then adhered to the card front with tiny dots of liquid glue. The "Make a Splash" greeting is from Sunny Splash and stamped with Tuxedo Black ink.

For my finishing touch I stamped this Sunny Splash swim suit (there are three suit designs in the set) with Parakeet Party ink, then hand-cut it with my Paper Snips. I added Iridescent Rhinestones to the front of the suit.

Inside I stamped the curling wave and blended the clouds, then added another Sunny Splash sentiment with black ink. I stamped the envelope to match with some smaller palm trees from the Paradise Palms stamp set and I was done!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries!

Hey there! Today I have a card to share that I created for a swap with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle of stamps and punch. I didn't use the punch for this one, but I want to make sure you know about it because when you buy the bundle you save 10% than when you purchase them separately.

I used a classic color combo of green and red, translated into Stampin' Up! Garden Green and new In Color Sweet Sorbet!

I started with a card base of Garden Green, then added a layer of Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper. The package says the green color is Old Olive, but this print coordinated with Garden Green perfectly!

I heat embossed the "Sweet" sentiment from the Sweetest Cherries stamp with Versamark and white embossing powder on a strip of Garden Green, then cut with the largest banner die in the Stylish Shapes Die set.

I stamped the cherries with Sweet Sorbet ink. I think I was a little surprised how pretty this color is because before you open the ink pad the color on the outside looks a little bit tomato-red, but it's not! The two cherry images are created to fit together perfectly, and the fact that the stamps are clear photopolymer is a big plus! I stamped the stems with Early Espresso and the leaves with Garden Green. After stamping I cut the Basic White layer with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. I added a Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dot to finish off the card front.

I used the same Scalloped Contours Die to cut the Basic White layer for the inside, then stamped a single cherry and another sentiment from Sweetest Cherries. I stamped a few cherries on the front and flap of the envelope to match!

Hey there! My next creation with the Cottage Rose Bundle was made with Blackberry Bliss card stock, Blackberry Bliss Pretty Prints Designer Paper, and Blackberry Bliss ink!

I used the same z-fold dimensions as yesterday's card: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4"

After stamping the bloom with Blackberry Bliss ink, I colored with Blackberry Bliss ink squeezed onto the pad lid and a dried-out Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I then colored the leaves with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker from the Neutrals Stampin' Write Marker pack, following up with Clear Wink of Stella over both the bloom and the leaves. I added a bow tied from White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon for the final touch.

Hey there! Today I have the first in a series of three cards to share with you, created with the Cottage Rose Bundle of stamps and dies! I knew as soon as I thumbed through the catalog the first time that I would have to own this one!

I used a favorite color combo: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam!

After stamping the bloom image with Early Espresso ink and cutting it out with the coordinating Cottage Flowers die, I then used Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam to it. I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the bloom's center to add some shine.

I created the coordinating Blushing Bride mat for the bloom by using the same die to cut the shape from Blushing Bride card stock, then snipping it into two pieces. I then added it to the back of the finished bloom with Stampin' Seal, then adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

I added Blushing Bride to the designer paper with a Blending Brush, and scattered a few Iridescent Pearls for an elegant look.

 I stamped the birthday greeting from Cottage Rose with Early Espresso ink directly onto the Blushing Bride-striped print from the Abigail Rose designer pack. This striped print is the flip-side to the Early Espresso bloom-print I used on the card front flap. After I adhered to the bloom with dimensionals, I added a double-bow tied from Linen Thread using a glue dot.

I kept the inside simple with another Cottage Rose sentiment and leaves image, all stamped with Early Espresso ink.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 15th!

Hey there! I've been missing much of this past week, trying to keep up with all of my daughters' needs, as well as grandchildren starting summer sports games and end-of-school activities. Seems like I had girls to babysit, track meets, or school concerts just about every day, not to mention my farmer hubby is busy in the field this week since it finally stopped raining for  few days!

I did do some fun new catalog card swapping last month, so I have lots of fresh ideas to share with you, starting with the Sweet Songbirds Bundle!

This first Sweet Songbirds card was created by Laura Milligan. She used two of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies to add such adorable interest to her card front layers!

Next, Judi Anderson used the Sweet Songbirds stamp set and punch with Fresh Freesia and Hues of Happiness Designer Paper to create a sweet "note of thanks"!

Barb Mullikin used the new Tahitian Tide ink with pops of Pacific Point to create her pretty birdie card.

Another Sweet Songbirds Bundle card by Judi Anderson that also uses the Double Oval Punch, Mango Melody, and the new In Colors Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party!

Gail Connelly used the only-available-Hosts (or with an order of at least $150) Sit, Stay, Relax stamp set. She also used two prints from the Host-only Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper Pack.

She used two Stylish Shapes dies to create the picture frame:

And applied a "puddle" of Fine Tip Glue for the water spilling from the vase.

The final card I'm sharing today is also with the Sit, Stay, Relax Host-only stamp set, created by Sacha Wilson. Sacha used the new Dots & Spots die for the Starry Sky background layer and a new Fabulous Frames die for the focal image mat layer.
