Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Hey there! We had a good "Vivid Vases" class today. Several were unable to make due to various circumstances, so I'm going to offer it again on March 22nd along with my Burlap and Blooms Wreath Class.

Today I have a selection of baby card swaps I received at Leadership:

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_2

This baby boy card was created with  the colors of Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, and Baked Brown Sugar. Embossed with the Alphabet Press folder. Colored with a Blender Pen and Coastal Cabana ink. A bit of Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon for the perfect final touch!

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_1

This card uses the same phrase from Baby We've Grown, with Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper. One of the Designer Frames embossing folders was used around the stamped image, which has again been softly colored with Daffodil Delight ink and a blender pen. Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding adds the final touch to this one!

Stampin_up_label_love

Last but certainly not least we have the onesie card! Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper again. Scalloped Circle and Circle Punches used for the neckline and legs. A Label Love image, stamped with Calypso Coral and punched with the Artisan Label Punch and mounted on a 2 1/2" Scallop Circle complete this one!

Well, that's all for now. I'm headed off to bed. The "dreaded taxes" are still looming. It makes me tired just thinking about it. I found out this week I am a "procraftinator" – I'd rather stamp and create than cook, clean house, or do monthly bookkeeping. So I'm miserable for a few days every February trying to re-create a whole year. Sad. Every year I swear I will do better (bet you do too, don't you?) and then life gets going and before I know it here I am again with a mountain of paper to sift through.

ENOUGH of my whining.

You can always go HERE to find the supplies used for today's samples. I would really appreciate the chance to help you make something fun. Just call or email if you have any questions!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Elegant Vivid Vases!

Stampin’ Up! Elegant Vivid Vases!

Hey there! I just returned home from Donna's house where we had a blast stamping tonight! Lots of laughter combined with a good movie, Pride and Prejudice, how much better could it possibly get?

Tomorrow, (or rather, looking at the clock, later today) I am having my Vivid Vases Class. Today's card is one we will be making, using Vivid Vases, Flower Garden Textured Impressions Folder, and Simply Sketched Hostess:

Stampin_up_viviid_vases_chalkboard_1

The vases are stamped without the accompanying greeting with Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black cardstock, then cut out with an Oval Collection Framelit.

I'm really tickled how well the Vanilla Smooch Spritz/alcohol mixture showed up on the card front! I spritzed it after I had run the Smoky Slate layer through the Big Shot with the Flower Garden folder.

I added more elegance with a Tea Lace Doily, and some glam with a Rhinestone, Silver 1/8" ribbon, and the Silver Foil layer beneath the greeting!

Stampin_up_one_in_a_million

Inside is pretty straighforward, with Jet Black StazOn stamping and a sentiment from One in a Million!

So how do you like card #3 of the Vivid Vases class? I'm really diggin' it, and I hope my stampers do too!

That's all for now. It's after midnight and my eyes are getting heavy as I type. I better hit the hay so I can be up bright and early to finish my prep and set-up for class!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

As always, you can earn one Bluesox Rewards token for every $25 you spend in my Stampin' Up! Online store HERE.

PLUS, every $50 you spend in my Online Store will also earn you a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure!

Stampin’Up! Another Vivid Vases Card!

Stampin’Up! Another Vivid Vases Card!

Hey there! In case you are wondering, the "vases" in "Vivid Vases" is pronounced "vahhhses", (at least to my ear it is). What do you think? Is it "vaces" or "vahses"?

No matter how you pronounce it, this set is just so cute and versatile. One stamp, wood-mount only, but it lends itself so well to several fun techniques. Yesterday's technique was painter's tape, and today we have the ombre' technique with punches!

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_ombre_1

This card inspired by by Amy Koenders. The card base is Strawberry Slush, layered with Whisper White embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Folder.

The flowers and vases are heat embossed with white powder on Rose Red, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, and Pink Pirouette, then punched with the 1" Circle Punch.

The greeting is from Four You, stamped with Strawberry Slush ink BEFORE the layer is embossed.

Rhinestones add the perfect touch of bling, don't you think?

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_ombre_2

The inside layer has another greeting from Four You stamped in Strawberry Slush, as well as the Vivid Vases at the bottom.

Each small flower has been punched with the 1/2" Circle Punch, then mounted over the stamped flowers with a Stampin' Dimensional.

That's all for today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

If you would like to order Stampin' Up! supplies and do not have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours! Every Online Order of $25 will receive my "Bluesox Rewards' tokens toward free stamps, and every $50 order will qualify to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Vivid Vases for Saturdays’ Class!

Stampin’ Up! Vivid Vases for Saturdays’ Class!

Hey there! I've been having fun prepping for my Vivid Vases Class on Saturday – LOTS more fun than working on taxes, that's for sure!

The card I have for you today uses the Painter's Tape Technique and the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder(free from the Sale-a-bration brochure when you order $50):

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_painters_tape

This technique is quick, fun, and EASY! After stamping the Vivid Vases image with Jet Black StazOn ink, I applied Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Wisteria Wonder ink with the Painter's Tape. Both layers are cut out with Labels Framelit Dies. I added a 3/4" x 4 1/4" strip of Basic Black just so the label layers would have something to be anchored to. This card doesn't need any more embellishment to be pretty!

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_painters_tape_2

Inside I used the same painter's tape and inks under the sentiment from Perfect Pennants. Stamp a bit on the envelope and we are done!

Stampin’ Up! Six-Sided Sampler for Dawn!

Stampin’ Up! Six-Sided Sampler for Dawn!

Hey there! We had a lovely time tonight at Dawn's stamping party. She had requested one of the cards be made with a new set she had just ordered, Six-Sided Sampler, and this is the card I came up with:

Stampin_up_six_sided_sampler_1

I CASED a card by Annette Elliott. Of course, I made a few changes, but it's basically the same colors, layout, and stamps. It was a super fun card for the party tonight!

Stampin_up_six_sided_sampler_2

I stamped more hexagons on the inside of the card to pull the outside and the inside together. We even decorated the inside of the envelope by cutting designer paper with the Envelope Liner Framelit Die. The sentiment on the inside is from a Dozen Thoughts.

Here's the supplies you need to make this card. Just click on any of the highlighted words and you will be taken directly to my Online Store

Six-Sided Sampler Bundle (stamp set & Hexagon Punch)

A Dozen Thoughts

Gingham GardenDesigner Paper

Pansy Punch

Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Brights Candy Dots

Banners Framelit Dies

Pacific Point cardstock

Daffodil Delight cardstock

Whisper White cardstock

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
