Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Grown with Love Day 4!

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Grown with Love Day 4!

Hey there! Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Ark Encounter, the sister site to the Creation Museum. I was absolutely blown away by the enormity of the ark and the fact that it was built by Noah completely on his faith and trust in God. Of course, he did have help from his sons and probably hired help, but was perfectly designed by God to safely house, float, and save all of the animals, Noah, and his family from the catastrophic flood that God sent to destroy the wickedness of mankind. He IS God and we are not!

We learned and experienced a lot more than I can begin to explain here. If you'd like to know more, check out https://creationmuseum.org/ and

https://arkencounter.com/

I'm sharing the last card I created with the Grown with Love Bundle:

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_flower_pot_carolpaynestamps1

I used Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst, Always Artichoke, Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, and Whisper White for this simple card created for my monthly swap.

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_flower_pot_carolpaynestamps2

The Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes an gorgeous background. I added a single White Perfect Accent for the finishing touch!

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_flower_pot_carolpaynestamps3

I used a sentiment from Five for All inside, stamped with Berry Burst.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lemon Zest!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lemon Zest!

Hey there! Happy Sunday Swap Day! Yesterday my husband and I traveled to Eastern Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum. It was an amazing experience to see the Bible, particularly Genesis presented in a way that explains many of the questions we all wonder about: Where did the world come from? God spoke. How long did it take the world to be created? Six literal days. How old is the world? About 6,000 years. How do dinosaurs fit into the Creation story and what happened to them? Dinosaurs were one of the "kinds" that were created by God, they were on the ark, and became extinct after the flood, probably due to the changed world after the flood. And that's just a FEW of the questions that were explained! We are going to see the Ark Encounter today. It's a full-scale replica of the ark, according the the dimensions God gave to Noah and recorded in the Bible. I'll report on this experience tomorrow!

Meanwhile, here's a few cards created with the Lemon Zest bundle!

First, Linda Pagel used Lemon Zest and the Lemon Builder punch from the bundle to create her pocket birthday card.

Stampin_up_lemon_zest_carolpaynestamps1

She used Soft Sky, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.

This could be a birthday card for your hubby!

Next, Landa Cartwright combined the Lemon Zest Bundle with the cross-hatch image from Timeless Textures:

Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and some Berry Burst for the "pop"!

Finally, Deb McCahan used Embossing Past and a stencil to create the background for her "crate of lemons":

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Grown with Love!

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Grown with Love!

Hey there! I'm stamping on page 22 of the Annual Catalog today with the Grown with Love Stamp set!

I had a Crumb Cake card base with a Crushed Curry layer already attached laying on my stamping table, so instead of starting from scratch, I used them to build the rest of my card from there!

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_wagon_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed a Crumb Cake layer with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions folder  for the background.  I used Stampin' Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Always Artichoke, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry for the veggies, Fresh Fig for the "ALL THINGS GROW WITH LOVE", and stamped the wagon with Dapper Denim. I cut them out with Garden Grown Framelits (bundled with Grown with Love to save 10%), then adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_wagon_carolpaynestamps2

I added a Crushed Curry  dot from the Regals Enamel Shapes to the center of a Touches of Nature Element, adding to the card front with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_wagon_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I inked up a Layering Love sentiment with markers, and stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Sunshine Sayings with Basic Black ink.

Stampin_up_grown_with_love_wagon_carolpaynestamps4

This card is just the warm up. I have three more Grown with Love cards to share with you over the next few days!

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Eastern Beauty Day 3!

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Eastern Beauty Day 3!

Hey there! Today's card is created with the flower die from the Eastern Medallions Thinlets and the "hi" greeting from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit:
Stampin_up_eastern_beauty_hi_carolpaynestamps1
I started with a Dapper Denim card base, adding a layer of Berry Burst and a Very Vanilla layer embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder.

After cutting out blooms from Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist, I punched both colors with the 1/2" Circle Punch for flower centers. After stamping the "hi" from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit with Berry Burst,  I punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch. All are mounted on the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_eastern_beauty_hi_carolpaynestamps3

For my finishing touch I added a layer of gloss over the flower centers using my Fine Tip Glue Pen. It takes a few minutes for the glue to dry, so I kept the card flat while I stamped the inside layer to keep the glue from dripping. I experimented with adding the glue to the greeting, but the glue made the classic ink run and blurred the word, so I replaced it with a fresh, un-glossed greeting.

Stampin_up_eastern_beauty_hi_carolpaynestamps3

This is a simple "thinking of you", "what's up?", kind of card uses another Oh Happy Day Card Kit greeting.

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Eastern Beauty Day 2!

Hey there! Today is the day! The day you can start using the Bonus Days coupons you earned in July! It's also the day you can start ordering Carols of Christmas stamps set, Card Front Builder Thinlets, or the Bundle with both! AND you can use your Bonus Days Coupon(s) on Carols of Christmas if you wish!

Today is also my next share with you of my "stamping my way through the catalog" series. I used the Eastern Beauty set again with the Oh Happy Day Card Kit stamp set for the inside sentiment:

Stampin_up_eastern_beauty_carolpaynestamps1

I started with a Dapper Denim card base, added a Tranquil Tide 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" layer, then stamped on a 4" x 5 1/4" layer with Dapper Denim & Berry Burst. I used an Eastern Medallion Thinlet to cut the center greeting layers. Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon and a few Rhinestones pull it all together.

Stampin_up_eastern_beauty_carolpaynestamps2

The Oh Happy Day Card Kit stamp set is a one you can use year round. The phrase I used turns this card into a birthday card perfectly!

Stampin’ Up! Bonus Days & Christmas in July Ends Today!

Stampin’ Up! Bonus Days & Christmas in July Ends Today!

Hey there! The card I'm sharing today I created for a blog hop that unfortunately I was unable to participate in, but it's appropriate for today because today is the last day of the Bonus Days promotion AND the last day to purchase the Demonstrator Starter Kit and get the Carols of Christmas set added to your kit for free! See all of the details about both promotions at the bottom of this post, but for now, here's my card:

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I combined the Carols of Christmas stamps with Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Gold Glimmer Paper, and Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim.

After stamping the ornaments (each side is a different set, can you tell?) with Cherry Cobbler ink I sprinkled with Clear embossing powder and heat set with my Heat Tool for extra shine and dimension.

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I wrapped about 40 inches of lace around my hand 5 times then tied the piece of ribbon I had wrapped around the card front around the middle of the loops to create the fun, loopy bow!

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I stamped more Cherry Cobbler clear-embossed ornaments, then used my favorite Butterfly Basics phrase and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Merry Christmas.
