Currently you are at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps. At the bottom of this post you will find a list of all of the participating blogs in the hop. To "hop" on to the next blog all you have to do is click on the name below mine. It's that easy!

Our theme for this year's Alaska Achiever's Blog Hop is anything goes, which is a pretty awesome theme, because this way we can each bring you our best and most loved projects! We were encouraged to use products from the upcoming Occasion Catalog, which begins on January 3rd 2018, and I have a fun little "present" for you!

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps1

These cards are 4 1/4" square at the Bermuda Bay/Berry Burst base, then an 8" x 4" Whisper White layer scored and folded at 4" creates the fold for the front and inside.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps2

The Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set from the Occasions Catalog was the set Stampin' Up! chose to give to every attendee in their event bag at OnStage Live earlier this month, so I decided to start with this set first.

I chose the bow image to stamp with Bermuda Bay. There is another coordinating stamp to create shadows, but I chose to only use the bold image for my project. I punched it with a 1" Circle Punch and then punched another circle from Bermuda Bay with the 1 1/2" Circle Punch. I painted the bow with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for some sparkle.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped "treat yourself" from Picture Perfect Birthday first before embossing with the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps4

I love the font the sentiments in this set are written with!

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps5

I also created a Berry Burst version. The "ribbons" are actually 1/4" wide strips of Berry Burst card stock.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps6

The Berry Burst version also has a bit of Clear Wink of Stella.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps7

I added a couple of Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stampin_up_picture_perfect_birthday_carolpaynestamps8

I just can't decide which version I like better!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums!

Hey there! This morning I wanted to share these two OnStage Live swaps with you that my team member, Linda, received that were created with the Seasonal Chums set from the Holiday Catalog. Seasonal Chums is an adorable little set that has matching framelits.  It was a bundle that I identified early on that I would like to have, but unfortunately I've not yet ordered it. That happens sometimes.

This swap was created by Linda Flemming. She also used the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Christmas Quilt Designer Series Paper, a Delicate White Doily, and Layering Circle Framelits. She added a sentiment from the timeless Teeny Tiny Wishes punched with the Classic Label Punch. Her finishing touch is a tiny rhinestone, colored with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, for his Rudolph nose!

Stampin_up_seaonal_chums_carolpaynestamps3

The second Seasonal Chums creation did not have a creator's name on it, which is  shame because it is a really good one! The white layer is embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing folder. Both the white layer and the Wild Wasabi card base were cut with a Santa's Sleigh thinlet. A piece of Window Sheet was adhered between the layers to create the window for the Seasonal Chums reindeer to be adhered in front.

On the back side of  window the back side of the reindeer can be seen peeking through!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning before all of the crazy starts. We are having our family Thanksgiving today, so I have a turkey breast and a honey ham cooking! Alisa was here yesterday to make pumpkin & pecan pies, and the rest of the dishes will be made in a little while. We are also taking our annual family picture today, so lots to do!

I received these two cards in my last swap, and since the Thanksgiving weekend isn't over yet I decided to wasn't too late to share!

First, Jan Rodrian stamped, watercolored with Stampin' Blends, and then cut out the Vintage Leaves oak leaf with the coordinating Leaflets Framelit Dies. She layered onto a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, then adhered it as a flap to a design from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps3

Just lovely!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps4

Lift the flap t find a greeting from Best Birds and acorns stamped with the Painted Harvest set. This card would be perfect for the outdoorsman in your life!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps5

My second card to share to day is by Jenna Raby and also features the Vintage Leaves and Leaflets Framelits. Jenna used a technique called "Distressed Direct to Paper" to achieve the splotchy-coppery look on the leaves. She embossed her Chocolate Chip background with the Woodland Textured Impressions Folder. She also heat-embossed a copper edge to the Chocolate Chip layer!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_carolpaynestamps1

Her greeting starts with a label frame from Labels to Love, heat-embossed with Copper powder on Cajun Craze card stock. She added a greeting from Gourd Goodness with Early Espresso ink.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thanksgiving!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey there! We are having our family Thanksgiving on Saturday, but whenever you are or are going to celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating and giving thanks with your family and friends!

Today I have just one  super-special card to share with you, a punch-art  swap I received from Mary Lang. This card is a true work of art!

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps1

Isn't this gorgeous? Mary perfectly combined four current punches to create  her fall scene: Starburst (sun), Pretty Label (clouds), Tree Builder (autumn trees) and Classic Label (greeting).

Mary started with a card base of Soft Suede, followed by a layer of Pumpkin Pie embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder. She sponged the Whipser White layer with Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz, then layered on all of the punched pieces to create a masterpiece! She wrapped a bit of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon and a bow tied from Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine for the perfect finishing touch!

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps2

Everything on this card has been sponged, either with Soft Sued ink or the coordinating color that matches the card stock piece. Mary added shine with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, and stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Soft Suede ink before punching with the Classic Label Punch.

Stampin_up_tree_builder_carolpaynestamps3

Mary kept the inside pretty clean-and-simple with just a sentiment from Count My Blessings and a single apple punched with the Tree Builder Punch.
