Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes for the first day of the new Mini Catalog!

Hey there! Today is the first day that you can order from the new January/June 2022 Mini Catalog! From now on I'm going to refer to it as the "J/J Mini", so just remember that little abbreviation, ok?

To kick-off this new catalog, as well as the start of Sale-a-bration (yes, another SAB is now in effect for January and February! Isn't it cool that we now get TWO SAB's, two months each, for a total of FOUR MONTHS throughout the year?!) I am sharing this center-easel card I created with the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle from the J/J Mini and Friendly Hello Designer Paper (part of the Friendly Hello stamp set/designer paper bundle free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration):

Amazing Silhouettes is a "distINKtive" stamp set, so it takes up ink a little differently. If you just ink it on the firm foam stamp pad it will be too juicy to stamp with the delicate details built-in to the stamp, so instead I applied ink to the stamp surface with a sponge dauber. I stamped the butterfly image first, then embossed with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.

Both layers of the "thank" and "you", black and designer paper, were cut with the Amazing Thanks dies from the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle. I used the "you" as the easel-stop, and added a few Matte Black Dots to pull the Basic Black, Pool Party, and Basic White look all together.

I used five mini stampin' dimensionals to make sure "you" was firmly in place to hold up the easel.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 19!

Hey there! Today I have a group of gift card holders to share with you! This is my last Sunday Swap Day for 2021, but don't worry, I will be back on Sunday, January 2nd with a brand new crop of swaps to share!

Note: a few of the products used to create these swaps, offered in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog have now sold out. I will note these products with a (R) after them.

First, Carol Slack used the Be Jolly (R) stamp set with a sentiment from Christmas to Remember to create her gift card holder swap.

Next, Linda Pagel used Encircled in Warmth from the Holiday Catalog with Whimsy & Wonder (R) Specialty Paper for her swap creation.

Inside she created a simple folded pocket for the gift card with the opening accented with a partial punch with the Label Me Lovely Punch.

Laura Barto used a variety of punches, including the Sprig, Detailed Trio, and Starlit (which will appear in next year's Holiday Mini), to create her snowman gift card holder.

Ruth Bingle used the Pine Tree Punch with Tidings of Christmas Designer Paper, both from the Annual Catalog, to create her pretty card/gift card holder.

Gail Connelly used the Host stamp set, Seasons of Fun (R) along with the Annual Catalog set, Count On Me, for her swap.

She used sentiments from Happiest Birthday for the inside. This is definitely for a winter birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Wishes!

Hey there! Welcome to the December edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Winter Wishes", anything with a winter theme! I'm excited to see what everyone creates!

I needed a birthday card anyway for one of my sons, so I decided to use this theme to create his card and get two things done at once! I used the Beauty of Friendship Bundle of stamps and dies with sentiments from the Handsomely Suited stamp set to create this center-easel card.

This is a fun, fast, and simple card to make!

Both tree images are in the Beauty of Friendship stamp set, so it was quick to stamp the "forest". I used the phrase, "you're the best" from Handsomely Suited, cut with one of the Beautiful Trees dies to create the easel "stop". I also added a few Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems for some sparkle.

To expand on the "winter" theme for the blog hop I also added Clear Wink of Stella to the trees for some subtle shimmer.

After I created this card I also created another one for my another birthday boy. I will share it with you next time!

Hey there! I know I've been AWOL for awhile, but I do have some good things in the works that are just not quite ready to share yet!
