Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Criss-Cross Card!

Hey there! Today I have a new technique to share with you! I didn't invent it, but I don't actually know the name for it, so I'm calling it a "criss-cross card". I used retiring Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the retiring So Sentimental Bundle to create this:

I used one piece of designer series paper, cut at the diagonal from two corners, then flipped two of the sections over to use the opposite side. Here's a couple of pictures that explain it a little more:

I put two opposite corners of the 3 3/4" x 5" piece of designer paper rectangle along the cutting track of my paper trimmer, then cut to create two equal-sized triangles. Keeping the rectangle pushed together, I turned it 180 degrees so the un-cut corners are now lined up with the cutting track.

After the second cut, you will have four triangles.

The greeting is from the retiring stamp set, So Sentimental. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies it is bundled with are not retiring, but you need to order the bundle before May 3rd because not only will the stamp set be gone forever, the 10% savings will be too. The Just Jade 1/4" In Color Ribbon is also retiring.

The card base is a super-easy z-fold!

The inside sentiment is also from So Sentimental.

Card dimensions:

Just Jade base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2"

Misty Moonlight layer: 5 1/4" x 4" -need two greeting mat: 3" x 4"

Flowers For Every Season layer: 3 3/4" x 5" inside strip: 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Basic White greeting: 2 1/2" x 3" inside layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Ribbon: 6-7 inches

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Sneak Peek with Elegantly Said!

Hey there! Today I have a sneak peek created with a brand-new bundle coming out in the new Annual Catalog on May 4th! Elegantly Said is bundled with the brand-new Elegant Tag Punch!

I created this card to accompany another wedding shower gift for my granddaughter, Maddie Kate!

I heat embossed the flourishes with white embossing powder. I love the intricate details!

I punched the greeting from Elegantly Said with the coordinating Elegant Tag Punch, then punched two more tags fro Champagne Foil to layer behind it.

I used a Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends marker to color the White/Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon. This ribbon was on the retiring list and is already sold out, but the White/Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (which is also retiring) has not sold out yet. This ribbon is so elegant for wedding and special occasion cards, and can be colored any color you need with a Stampin' Blend. You need to order a few rolls of it TODAY before it sells completely out!

I stamped the inside layer with another Elegantly Said sentiment, as well as the envelope with more flourishes, all with Misty Moonlight ink.

The Elegantly Said Bundle of stamps and punch are not orderable until the new Annual Catalog goes live on May 4th, but here's the currently available supply list:

Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Hill Plaid!

Hey there! I'm back again today with my final installment of Fancy Phrases/Hydrangea Hill birthday cards. It's been fun creating and sharing them with you! For these I used the green plaid print from the Hydrangea Hill paper pack.

The flowers and leaves in the coordinating print are so pretty!

I used the Tailored Tag punch to create the greeting and the greeting mat, then added a single Seaside Spray Pastel Pearl to coordinate with the Seaside Spray card base.

I added a bow tied with White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to finish it all off.

Stampin’ Up! Berry Delightful Coaster Calendar!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you a little coaster calendar I've created with the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. I'm planning to put magnets on the back so they can be added to a refrigerator door. I covered some heavy card board coasters a friend gave me a stack of several years ago and I am thrilled with how they turned out!

I get the self-sticking calendar pads from https://www.vippies.com I'm not sure if they are still selling 2021 calendars, but with it only being half-way through January I would think so.

I used a retired circle die to cut the 4" across Garden Green circles to cover the coaster. I embossed the circle with one of the Meadow Moments Mini Embossing Folders, then adhered to the coaster with liquid glue.

I punched the bloom and the leaf directly from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper with the Strawberry Builder Punch. I added an Elegant Faceted Gem to the center of the bloom for a little sparkle.

These calendars came together very quickly. See my supply list and dimensions I have posted lower in this post.

Our Family Pictures!

Hey there! No card sharing today, but I'll be back tomorrow with a new creation to kick off the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog. Today I'm sharing our annual family Christmas card and pictures of our growing family.

First, our family Christmas card. We took most of these pictures in September during our September family birthday celebration. Right now we have birthdays in all months of the year except March and June!

My daughter, Jessica, is our photographer. She used a timer to set up the shots and jump in before the shutter snapped!

The back side of our card featured all of the grands. Left to right back row: Oakley, Maddie Kate, Ava, Cohen, and Liam.

Front row left to right: Jaxon (holding Avara), Darcy, Cyndal, Fiona, Ivory, and Lando.

Now I will share individual family pics. Starting with Jessica's family left to right: Luke Thompson (Maddie Kate's fiance'), Maddie Kate, Jessica, Johnny, Cohen, Ava, with Jaxon in the front.

Christmas pic: Jaxon (almost 9) Madddie Kate (19), Ava (15), and Cohen (almost 13) . Cohen's shirt says "I paused my game to be here"!

Next, Kimberly's family: Liam, Kimberly, Tony, Darcy. Baby Fiona in front.

Next is newlyweds Troy & Grace. They will celebrate their 2-year anniversary in March!
