Stampin’ Up! Soft Sea Foam Cottage Rose!

Hey there! While I was playing with the Cottage Rose Bundle, I decided I needed to create a card that didn't need designer series paper. I also decided I wanted to try a softer, more subtle look, so I chose to use Soft Sea Foam and Basic White for my color palette:

I decided to just stamp the bloom with Soft Sea Foam ink and only add Clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

I colored White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with the Soft Sea Foam ink pad before tying in a double bow. You need to wait until the ribbon is completely dry before adhering with a mini glue dot or the moisture in the ink will neutralize the glue dot's stickiness.

I stamped the Soft Sea Foam front layer with the leaf image and Soft Sea Foam ink before embossing with the  Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder. It is so hard to see, though, that I think if I make this same card with the same color again I won't stamp before embossing.

On the inside I used my ink pad trick again, dragging it around all four sides of the layer to create a darker shade of Soft Sea Foam.

I finished the inside with another Cottage Rose sentiment and Soft Sea Foam ink.

Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Cottage Rose!

Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Cottage Rose!

Hey there! My next creation with the Cottage Rose Bundle was made with Blackberry Bliss card stock, Blackberry Bliss Pretty Prints Designer Paper, and Blackberry Bliss ink!

I used the same z-fold dimensions as yesterday's card: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4"

After stamping the bloom with Blackberry Bliss ink, I colored with Blackberry Bliss ink squeezed onto the pad lid and a dried-out Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I then colored the leaves with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker from the Neutrals Stampin' Write Marker pack, following up with Clear Wink of Stella over both the bloom and the leaves. I added a bow tied from White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon for the final touch.

Inside I stamped the bloom image and the Cottage Rose sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink.

Hey there! Today I have the first in a series of three cards to share with you, created with the Cottage Rose Bundle of stamps and dies! I knew as soon as I thumbed through the catalog the first time that I would have to own this one!

I used a favorite color combo: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam!

After stamping the bloom image with Early Espresso ink and cutting it out with the coordinating Cottage Flowers die, I then used Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam to it. I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the bloom's center to add some shine.

I created the coordinating Blushing Bride mat for the bloom by using the same die to cut the shape from Blushing Bride card stock, then snipping it into two pieces. I then added it to the back of the finished bloom with Stampin' Seal, then adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

I added Blushing Bride to the designer paper with a Blending Brush, and scattered a few Iridescent Pearls for an elegant look.

 I stamped the birthday greeting from Cottage Rose with Early Espresso ink directly onto the Blushing Bride-striped print from the Abigail Rose designer pack. This striped print is the flip-side to the Early Espresso bloom-print I used on the card front flap. After I adhered to the bloom with dimensionals, I added a double-bow tied from Linen Thread using a glue dot.

I kept the inside simple with another Cottage Rose sentiment and leaves image, all stamped with Early Espresso ink.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 15th!

Hey there! I've been missing much of this past week, trying to keep up with all of my daughters' needs, as well as grandchildren starting summer sports games and end-of-school activities. Seems like I had girls to babysit, track meets, or school concerts just about every day, not to mention my farmer hubby is busy in the field this week since it finally stopped raining for  few days!

I did do some fun new catalog card swapping last month, so I have lots of fresh ideas to share with you, starting with the Sweet Songbirds Bundle!

This first Sweet Songbirds card was created by Laura Milligan. She used two of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies to add such adorable interest to her card front layers!

Next, Judi Anderson used the Sweet Songbirds stamp set and punch with Fresh Freesia and Hues of Happiness Designer Paper to create a sweet "note of thanks"!

Barb Mullikin used the new Tahitian Tide ink with pops of Pacific Point to create her pretty birdie card.

Another Sweet Songbirds Bundle card by Judi Anderson that also uses the Double Oval Punch, Mango Melody, and the new In Colors Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party!

Gail Connelly used the only-available-Hosts (or with an order of at least $150) Sit, Stay, Relax stamp set. She also used two prints from the Host-only Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper Pack.

She used two Stylish Shapes dies to create the picture frame:

And applied a "puddle" of Fine Tip Glue for the water spilling from the vase.

The final card I'm sharing today is also with the Sit, Stay, Relax Host-only stamp set, created by Sacha Wilson. Sacha used the new Dots & Spots die for the Starry Sky background layer and a new Fabulous Frames die for the focal image mat layer.

Gail Connelly used the only-available-Hosts (or with an order of at least $150) Sit, Stay, Relax stamp set. She also used two prints from the Host-only Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper Pack.

She used two Stylish Shapes dies to create the picture frame:

And applied a "puddle" of Fine Tip Glue for the water spilling from the vase.

The final card I'm sharing today is also with the Sit, Stay, Relax Host-only stamp set, created by Sacha Wilson. Sacha used the new Dots & Spots die for the Starry Sky background layer and a new Fabulous Frames die for the focal image mat layer.

Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness Abounds!

Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness Abounds!

Hey there! Today I have a girly birthday card created with the Happiness Abounds bundle and the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper!

I started with a Coastal Cabana card base, then added a Basic White layer stamped with the Happiness Abound birthday greeting, cut with a Blooming Happiness die, and then embossed with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder!

I then added flowers and leaves cut from the sheet of Hues of Happiness Designer Paper that coordinates with the Blooming Happiness dies! So easy to cut out. I finished the card front with White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon and a few Iridescent Rhinestones.

Inside I stamped another Happiness Abounds sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink. I added a few more partial blooms rescued from the edge of the Hues of Happiness designer paper sheet. My final addition was a tiny bloom and leaf hand-cut from the same sheet of Hues of Happiness paper and added with a tiny dot of liquid glue.

Hey there! I was too busy during this crazy weekend to have any time to post! We had a yard sale on Saturday, and then all the family here for Mother's Day, so today  is my first chance to sit down with my computer at all.

Today I'm sharing what I planned to share for Sunday Swap Day, a collection of cards featuring the Bottled Happiness bundle.

First a Blackberry Bliss/Basic White, Highland Heather/Pear Pizzazz color combo by Tara Scyoc. She used Paper Snips to cut out the bouquet of flowers before popping up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tara used a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker to highlight the Whimsy die design, as well as a couple of Stylish Shapes dies to cut the greeting and the banner behind it.

Next, Kathy Morgan used Orchid Oasis and Granny Apple Green along with a Scalloped Contours Die and the Double Oval Punch.

The photopolymer (clear) stamps in the Bottled Happiness set allow the Orchid Oasis blooms to be stamped first, then the Granny Apple Green leaves and centers line up perfectly for the second stamping!

Both of the greetings on this card are from the Pansy Patch stamp set!

Next, Barb Mullkin paired Parakeet Party with Orchid Oasis for her bright and cheery card. She scored the front layer with the Simply Scored Scoring Board, cut the focal image with a Stylish Shapes Die, and added a bow tied from Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.

Janine Pohlmann used Tahitian Tide, Basic Black, Basic White, Parakeet Party, and Polished Pink for her Bottled Happiness card.

The tiny "I miss you" is from the Cup of Tea Bundle, as well as the stamped tag outline and the die to cut it with. She added a Crumb Cake Baker's Twine bow.

Finally, Sacha Wilson created a masculine card with Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, and He's the Man Designer Series Paper.

I currently don't own this bundle of stamps/punch, but after scrutinizing these lovely cards, I think it is going on my next order, how about you?
