Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers!

Hey there! Today I have a card created with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the Stitched Greenery die that I'm crazy about! I needed another sympathy-type card, but I wanted it to be cheerful too, so I used Daffodil Delight card stock and In Good Taste Designer paper with the aforementioned Celebrate Sunflowers to create this:

I started by cutting the sunflower and butterfly from the Daffodil Delight card stock layer, then embossing the layer minus the sunflower and butterfly with the Stitched Greenery die. I then adhered the layer over a piece of In Good Taste Designer, then added the sunflower and butterfly back in their original spots with tiny dots of liquid glue.

I forgot to stamp the greeting before embossing with the Stitched Greenery die, but stamping on this layer worked out fine anyway!

I'm kind of obsessed with the Bumblebee Trinkets! They are the perfect finishing touch for this card!

I stamped the sunflower on the inside layer and on the envelope. I added the "Hugs Prayers Love" sentiment from Positive Thoughts with Early Espresso ink.

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden A Happy Hello!

Hey there! Today I have a fun-fold card to share with you called Pop & Twist! It's been around for awhile, but I recently found an easier way to make it, so I decided to give it a try. I used the Daisy Garden background stamp with Sunny Sentiments.

I stamped the daisies with Tuxedo Black Memento ink so I could color them with Stampin' Blends. After I colored the daisies and the greenery, I colored around all of it with my Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends marker. I added a bit of shimmer to the daisy centers with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I cut out the greeting from Sunny Sentiments with a Tasteful Labels die, then backed it with two more Tasteful Labels die-cuts. I finished it off by adding a Bumblebee Trinket.

As much as I love the card front, the star of the show is really the inside!

I lined the inside of the card with a Balmy Blue print from the You're A Peach Designer Paper, and used another Sunny Sentiment. I sent this card to a special friend who is just like a sister.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses!

Hey there! I think this week I should be able to stay on track with my blog posts. Right now I have cards made to last through Thursday, and I'm planning to do a ton of stamping today, so maybe I can get ahead and stay that way for awhile! lol!

Today's card I created with the Garden Birdhouses stand-alone stamp set and Scalloped Contours Dies:

I used Blending Brushes to add Crumb Cake and Soft Succulent to my layers, which were cut with Scalloped Contours dies and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I turned the white in the Hand-Penned designer paper sort of vanilla-ish by adding Crumb Cake over it with my Blending Brush.

I colored the birdhouses with Stampin' Blends and added a few Genial Gems for some sparkle.

I stamped a greeting from Garden Birdhouses with Tuxedo Black ink, and used ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. I hand-cut the birdies with my Paper Snips and then added them to the card with tiny snippets of a Stampin' Dimensional.

Inside I stamped more sentiments from Garden Birdhouses.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day July 11th!

Hey there! Vacation Bible School is over for the year and we had a really great week with a wonderful group of kids! We averaged between 70-80 kids each night. I always prepare for 100, so I never run out of packets!

It's time to get back to blogging, and I don't know of a better way than to start with a Sunday Swap Day! I have a whimsical and fun group of swaps to share today!

Cathy Miller used the Turtle Friends Bundle of stamps and punch to create her fun-fold card. She also used the Biggest Wish stamp set and Pattern Party Host Designer Paper.

I wasn't kidding when I said this was a fun-fold!

Susie Wood combined the Turtle Friends bundle with Layering Circles dies and You're A Peach Designer Paper. (YES! Those camo-print strips of background are the flip side of one of the You're A Peach DSP pages!)

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man for Jim!

Hey there! I still haven't been able to do any stamping this week with Vacation Bible School still going on (two more nights!), but I remembered I had this card I'm sharing with you today in my stash. I had taken the pictures minutes before giving the card away!

I needed a masculine birthday card in a hurry one day last week, so I reached for the A Good Man stamp set and my new Give It A Whirl dies for some fun!

I used three of the eight sentiments in this set to stamp in the three "windows" of the card.

The wheel you turn has little scallops on it to make it easier to grab with your finger. The simple contraption is secured in the center with a brad. The dies cut the holes for the brad as you cut out the pieces, so there's no guesswork of where to put the holes!

This sentiment is my fave!

Inside I used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments. I stamped the "HAPPY B-DAY" from Happiest of Birthdays on the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Island Crafts!

Hey there! Just wanted to pop in and let you know to not expect much from me this week in the way of inspiration. I may get a chance to post a few things, but only if I find an excess of time on my hands, which probably isn't going to happen. I'm deep in Vacation Bible School Craft Directing this week! Last night we had 72 kids: 20 first graders, 20 pre-k and kindergarteners (in separate sessions) and 33 second through sixth graders (all together in one session) We made the memory verse lanyard I showed you HERE. Everyone loved it, including the adult helpers, but it was a lot of work to get that many pieces through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines!

Today I have the door signs I created for my classroom. I used the same theme as the memory verse lanyards, along with a retired Stampin' Up! alphabet die set I will keep forever, Large Letters.

I used the same Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz for the pineapple with the In the Tropics dies:

We switched to just stamping the entire palm trees with Garden Green ink, so I did the same for my four signs.

I used a smaller stamped blossom from the Timeless Tropical set, cut with an In the Tropics die, then added a pop of black to the center with another In the Tropics die.

I'm not stamping much this week, the days are too short when you have to be a VBS by 4:45! But I hope to be back soon!
