Stampin’ up! Sleigh Ride Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ up! Sleigh Ride Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Today I have a Sneak Peek from the Holiday Catalog! Stampin' Up! allowed convention attendees to pre-pre-order a select group of products. Yay!

I took these pics of samples the Stampin' Up! Concept Artists had created with Sleigh Ride Edgelits and Jingle All the Way stamp set:

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_12

The Sleigh Ride Edgelits cut a row of pine trees, a sleepy little winter village, and a horse and sleigh!

Here's my creation:

I used the new Happy Season set I received at the CentreStage Leadership part of Convention.

Tip: If you use vellum for one of the layers like I did for the trees on the hill, you will want to sandwich them between two layers so your adhesive doesn't show.

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_edgelits_2 - Copy

Another tip: Be sure the die is entirely on the Cutting Plate. Don't let any of it hang off the edge. If it does hang off, it's could either bend or break.

I didn't use waxed paper or a dryer sheet to cut the edgelits, I just cranked them back and forth a couple of times, then used the smallest tip of my Simply Scored Stylus to poke out the little bitty pieces.

Stampin' Up! is also introducing the Precision Cutting Plate in the Holiday Catalog. It will cut using our framelits and edgelits WITHOUT needing to use waxed paper or dryer sheets! Can you say AWESOME?!?

I embossed the Whisper White layer with my new Softly Falling Textured Impressions Folder. I left the horse and sleigh stick out of the folder:

Inside, I used the Holly Jolly Greetings set I received from Prize Patrol:

Sorry, I don't know why this pic is a little fuzzy!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July – Merry Festival of Trees!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July – Merry Festival of Trees!

Hey there! As this blog is posting this morning I am on my way to the Stampin' Up! Convention, "Inspire, Create, Share"! I've missed the last two conventions because of new grand babies, which is one of the BEST reasons to not go, but I am super-excited to be attending again!

I hope to post some pics and news as the week progresses, we shall see. Sometimes I get caught up in the "moment" of convention and just soak it up and forget all about posting to my blog, but I will try to post if the internet at the hotel will cooperate!

While I'm driving to St Louis and then flying to Phoenix and then ultimately Salt Lake City, Utah, you can enjoy this card I created for the Christmas in July class last weekend with the returning Festival of Trees set:

Stampin_up_festival_of_trees_1 - Copy

All of the stamps used on this card are in the Festival of Trees set! The cool thing is I could have punched out the tree with the coordinating Tree Punch if I wanted to!

Stampin_up_festival_of_trees_3 - Copy

It takes a bit of drying time, but the Gold Glitz Dazzling Details on the branches is totally worth it!

Here's the supply list. You can order everything to make this card in my online store:

Stampin’ Up!Christmas in July – Lots of Joy!

Stampin’ Up!Christmas in July – Lots of Joy!

Hey there! I'm back again today with another card from my Christmas in July class this past weekend. I was inspired by the retro look of the sentiments in the Lots of Joy set to create this card with ALL of them on the same card!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_1 - Copy

I used two of the designs in the Merry Moments Designer Paper pack for the background. I stamped each sentiment in its' own color: Real Red, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and Cherry Cobbler.

I gave the ordinary squares cut with the Squares Collection Framelits more pop by rounding two of the four corners with the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board.

A Red Glimmer star punched with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and a Neutrals Candy Dot are the only added embellishments.

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_2 - Copy

Inside I stamped more Lots of Joy images, and then used one of the sentiments from the Merry Everything set punched with the Note Tag Punch.

I stamped the envelope with another of the 10 images in Lots of Joy with Cherry Cobbler ink.

ETA: I have had requests for the measurements for this card so I am adding the document for you here:

That's all for today. Check back a little later this morning and I will be posting the new Weekly Deals, then you can place your order in my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July-Barnyard Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July-Barnyard Babies!

Hey there! When I was looking through the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog to find ideas for my Christmas in July class I couldn't resist the Barnyard Babies set. It's full of adorable farm animal images and includes this sheep and a phrase just perfect for a little Christmas whimsy!

Stampin_up_barnyard_babies_1 - Copy

I used the Circle Card Thinlet Die so this little sheepie wouldn't get lost. The little "Santa Hat" is a stamp from the set, white embossed on Real Red card stock and cut out with Paper Snips. The tiny hearts are from the Confetti Heart Punch.

Stampin_up_barnyard_babies_2 - Copy

Flip over the card flap so you can say, "Fleece Navidad"!

Needless to say, there was a lot of humming and singing of "Felize Navidad" inspired by this card during class yesterday! lol!

One more day of Christmas in July starts in a few, and then later this afternoon is Oakley's birthday party. He turned TWO! yay!

Here's the supply list to create this card. You can find and order everything you need in my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July-Santa’s Gifts!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July-Santa’s Gifts!

Hey there! Today is the first day of my Christmas in July Class, so I thought it would be a good idea to show you another one of the cards we will be making:

Stampin_up_santa's gifts_1 - Copy

This adorable little snow birdie is from the new set, Santa's Gifts. I used one of my favorite layouts: circles, circles, and more circles!

Note: the Mossy Meadow "plaid" circle is actually embossed TWICE with the same Stylish Stripes folder, I just turned the card stock a bit before embossing a second time.

Stampin_up_santas_gifts_2 - Copy

ALL of the images used on this card are from the Santa's Gifts set. It's an easy-peasy card if you like to color a little bit, which I do. I used Stampin' Write markers.

Here's the supply list to make today's card. It's never too early to start making your Christmas cards, you know! You can order everything you need from my online store:
