Stampin’ Up! Cottage Garden Thank-You!

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Garden Thank-You!

Hey there! Today I need to show you the thank-you cards I made for the sweet mommy at our church who is having twins! I like to help a new mommy by making her a stack of thank-you cards, then hand out the envelopes at the shower so the guests can write their name and address on them for her.

I kept the design simple,so I started with the adorable "thank you" from the Cottage Greetings set. I cut a tie from Sweet Lil' Things Designer Paper using a Baby's First Framelit, and then cut a girly little bow from the same paper with a Handpicked Framelit and added the tiniest pearl to the bow center:

One thing when you are combining stamping and embossing, you MUST stamp the words first BEFORE you run the paper through the Big Shot, which is what I did before embossing with the Decorative Dots folder. (wanna know how I know this????? lol!)

These cards came together very quickly, just in time to tuck into the rest of the gift!

You can order the supplies to make your own special baby thank-you's from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Four things to remember while you are placing your order in my online store:
1. All orders of any amount (except for Online Class Orders) will receive a Thank You Project Packet in the mail.

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day!

Hey there! I have A LOT of great swaps right now, so I'm adding Saturday Swap Day in addition to Sunday so I can share more!

Fall lasts through the end of November, but Halloween is over on October 31, so I'm sharing Halloween swaps today.

Kim Vogel combined Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, Spider Web Doily, and  Among the Branches stamps. She colored the tiny pearl black eyes below "spooky"  with a black Sharpie:

Raedean Shibata heat-embossed "spooky" Among the Branches with black powder on Daffodil Delight card stock, adding a Spider Web Doily and stamping the "spooky eyes" multiple times for a "flying bat" look:

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_4

Jan Rodrian's card is proof you can turn any set into a birthday card with the right sentiments!

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_2

Happy Haunting Designer Paper, Among the Branches, Wisteria Wonder 1/2" Seam Binding on the front, then sentiments from Age Awareness and Sassy Salutations, adding in a crow from Among the branches. So inventive!

Stampin_up_among_the_branches_3

Kelly Acheson used Howl-o-ween Treat and Boo to You Framelits Bundle. New Black Glimmer Paper add sparkly touches, and the Confetti Stars Border Punch lends a "magical" look!

Kathy Morgan used the "Corner Flip" fold with Howl-o_ween Treat and Timeless Elegance Designer Paper. She inked between the black stripes with a brayer and Tangerine Tango ink before stamping happy little spiders with black.

The hat and jack-o-lantern are easy to cut with Boo To You Framelits!

Silver Mini-brads and Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape are finishing touches.

Finally, Rachel Yurkanin went out-of-the-box with Howl-o-ween Treat to create a baby card!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Babies, Babies, Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Babies, Babies, Babies!

Hey there! It's Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop day! yay!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

If you're already hoppin', you've probably come from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I love, love, love, her creations!

I'm so excited to share the baby card I created last month for my niece's shower, using Made with Love. I used it last month for Christmas in July. See it again HERE.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_1 - Copy I started with 5 1/2" x 12" Sahara Sand base, scoring at 3", 6", and 9" for a Screen Card.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_3 - Copy

I the screen "legs" with the Decorative Label. After finding the right depth to punch, I marked with a Sharpie so I could repeat. I lined up the punch edges on the fold lines. The punch is about 3" wide!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_2 - Copy

I punched the top with the Hearts Border Punch. Rose Red cardstock and the baby blossom print from the English Garden paper set the baby-girl theme. I stamped the onesie, cutting with a Baby's First Framelit die.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_5 - Copy

Layered punches framed the baby animal images. I colored with my Pink Pirouette marker and/or White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_6 - Copy

Tiny Confetti Hearts and the tiniest pearls added extra feminine touches.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_7 - Copy

I had to add the tiny baby bird! I cut the sentiment with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Framelits.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_8 - Copy

The final back panel to add my good wishes!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_16
A special card (and bulky when folded) needs a special envelope! I made one with English Garden paper and Envelope Punch Board. This card was hand-delivered, of course!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_10 - Copy

I created a tag  with the Sweetheart Punch and the slightly larger heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Dies.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_11 - Copy

That's all for now! Order in my online store:
