Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Animal Outing!

Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Animal Outing!

Hey there! Today's card has another alternative treatment with the Barn Door Bundle. I paired it with Animal Outing, a set we all received in our event bags at the Atlanta OnStage Event in April!

I used a color palette of Smoky Slate, Basic Black, and Whisper White, embossing the background layer with the Simple Stripes Folder. I was looking for a bit of a "zoo" look.

Stampin_up_barn_door_animal_outing_carolpaynestamps1

I attached the door with Tear & Tape Adhesive on the fold, then added the "hinges" with Liquid Glue. I painted the glue with a kid's crafting paintbrush so I could apply a really thin layer of glue with no squishing through the openings.

Stampin_up_barn_door_animal_outing_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I had stamped the mommy kangaroo with Momento Tuxedo Black ink so I could color her and her "baby" with Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers.

Stampin_up_barn_door_animal_outing_carolpaynestamps3

I colored the mommy's tummy with the same Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker, then used the Color Lifter to lighten her tummy fur.

Stampin_up_barn_door_animal_outing_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped and colored a couple more Animal Outing images and done!

Stampin’ Up! Moon Baby!

Stampin’ Up! Moon Baby!

Hey there stampin' friends! I'm still playing with That's the Tag, but today I added Moon Baby to create some adorable baby cards! Take a look:

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps

I love the simple but absolutely precious images in Moon Baby!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps1

I made my own background paper simply by stamping the large moon image repeatedly with Pool Party ink on Soft Sky.

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps2

The stars die from That's the Tag coordinated perfectly!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps3

Just so simply darling, I can hardly stand it! I want to make more of these just because!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps4

For the girl version I used Blushing Bride ink on Pink Pirouette!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps5

As much as I love the "moon baby" image on the boy card, I love these little stuffed animals too!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps6

I used the same stars die from That's the Tag. I hand-dyed the same white ribbon I used on the boy card by rubbing it on the Blushing Bride ink pad. The greeting is from That's the Tag.

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps7

Inside the tiny little trailing stars are from That's the Tag too!

Stampin_up_moon_baby_carolpaynestamps8

I couldn't resist stamping the toys on the envelope too!

Stampin’ Up! Made With Love Big Shotless Card!

Stampin’ Up! Made With Love Big Shotless Card!

Hey there! I CASED today's card from pg 62 of the Annual Catalog. Created with Barnyard Babies, it was easy to substitute Made with Love!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_carolpaynestamps1

Starting with a Daffodil Delight card base, I added a Whisper White layer, then adhered panels each stamped with a different Made With Love image using Versamark. Panel colors are Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_carolpaynestamps2

Stamping with Versamark on solid-color cardstock is like having the entire palette of Stampin' Up! colors in one inkpad, giving a tone-on-tone look.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_carolpaynestamps3

One stamp set, two ink pads, and one Classic Label Punch!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_carolpaynestamps4

CUTE, CUTE CUTE ! LOVE THE LITTLE BIRDIES!!!!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_carolpaynestamps6

For the girly card we started with a card base of Rose Red, then added Rose Red at the bottom, followed by Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, and Pink Pirouette. The little birdie by the "congratulations" was hand-cut with Paper Snips.

All of the supplies to make these cards are available to order from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop, Baby Love!

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop, Baby Love!

GV Blog Header

Hey there! Welcome to the April Edition of the Mediterranean Achiever's Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Baby Love", and I just can't get the Diana Ross song out of my head! In spite of that, I'm sure you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps,  or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Carol Payne.
For my project today I chose to use the single stamp, Easter Lamb. We just found out that my daughter is expecting a little girl in September, so this card was easy to create!
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps1
I used the retiring Circles Collection Framelits for the card base and some layers, and the retiring Floral Frames Framelits too! Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper, Whisper White, and Blushing Bride card stock support the girly theme.
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps3
I heat-embossed the lamb with white powder on Crumb Cake card stock, cut it out with a circle framelit, then sponged with White Craft ink. I embossed the Blushing Bride flower behind the lamb with the Happy Hearts folder and cut 1/4" Blushing Bride Cotton ribbon in half to create the tiny bow.
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps4
I white heat-embossed "it's a girl" from A Dozen Thoughts (retiring) on Blushing Bride before punching with the retired-and-sold-out Washi Label Punch. Paper-piercing in each scallop of the circle is an easy and affordable embellishment. All you need is a Stampin' Pierce mat and a Paper-Piercing Tool!
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps6
Inside I white heat-embossed a phrase from Happy Happenings, a set which thankfully IS NOT retiring!
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps7
A special card like this needs a special envelope, and the Envelope Punch Board delivers a lovely one!
Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps9
I punched a Decorative Label from Crumb Cake and heat-embossed another Happy Happenings phrase with white powder. Attached with a dimensional on the ends, it makes an easy envelope closure.
Thanks so much  for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss! Remember, currently you are at my blog – Carol Payne, so check the blog hop line up to see who is next in the list.

If you can't wait to order supplies and do not have a relationship with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love for you to shop in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
