Stampin’ Up! Petal Parade Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek, the BOX!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Parade Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek, the BOX!

Hey there! Finally accomplishing some things that have really been needing attention today. Still have a bunch of wrapping to do, but my girls are planning to help me tomorrow, so there's hope!

As promised, here is the box I created to put yesterday's calendar in. I used the Envelope Punch Board for my scoring:

Stampin_up_petal_parade_box_1

I used Crisp Cantaloupe for the box, stamping it all over with one of the 2014 Sale-a-bration Petal Parade stamps and one from the Occasions Catalog, Petite Petals with Crisp Cantaloupe ink.

I used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper for the belly-band. I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango, Pistachio Pudding, and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the single stamp called People Like You. After stamping on Whisper White cardstock, I cut it out with a Deco Label Framlit, then mounted it on a Pistachio Pudding layer also cut with the next-size larger Deco Label Framelit.

Stampin_up_petal_parade_box_2

I knew I needed a fairly deep box to be able to put the Sweet Sorbet easel calendar in, and this box worked perfectly!

Stampin_up_petal_parade_box_3

Now I just wish I had time to make about a dozen of these for Christmas gifts! Why, oh why do I always get my best inspiration at the last minute???

That's all for now. The item codes for the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper and the Petal Parade stamp set won't go live until Sale-a-bration starts on January 28th, but the People Like You stamp set will be available starting January 3rd! Come stamp with all of these fun new products at my Stampin' in the New Year Stamp-a-Stack on January 1st, 3rd, and 4th!

You can shop now in my Online Store for all the Holiday Catalog products that are still available (most of which will never be available again, unless they show up someday on the Clearance Rack!), as well as Annual Catalog, Photopolymers, and Best of 25 Years stamps: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin_up_wishing_you_1

·         Stamps – Wishing You #131748 wood-mount $14.95 #131751 clear-mount $11.95

·         Card Stock –  Crumb Cake, Season of Style Designer Paper, Whisper White

Envelope Punch Board File Folder Gift Card Holder Tutorial

C    Crumb Cake dimensions: 4 3/4" x 5", scored at 2 1/4 along the 5" side. This will make the front flap of your file folder narrower than the back flap.

Adhere 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Season of Style Designer Paper on corresponding flap with SNAIL.

Adhere Season of Style Designer Washi tape to the opposite flap.

       1. Line up the left corner of the paper with the left edge of the Envelope Punch Board punch as shown.

Punch once to start the curve of the folder tab.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_1

      2. Slide paper over to the 2 inch mark and punch again.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_2

      4. Smooth out any rough edges with your fingernail or Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_4

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_5

      6. Round remaining corners of the file folder with the corner-rounder punch of the outside edge of

          the punch board.

Stampin_up_envelope_punch_file_folder_7

HOW TO TIE A PRETTY KNOT "BOW"

     1. Wrap right end of ribbon over left end. Pull left end up and right end down tightly (this is the beginning of the phrase you have probably hear before " right over left, left over right …")

Stampin’Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holders!

Stampin’Up! Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holders!

Hey there! I have a couple more Gift Card Holders to share with you today. These are for the Ina Craft Fair Saturday, so I used some of my stash of  retired cardstock and designer paper.

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_1

This little cute guy is punched with the 2 1/2", 1 3/4", and 1 1/4" Circle Punches. His face and arms are stamped with Snow Day stamp set stamps. I created the belly band from and stamped the "warm wishes" on retired designer paper, and the gift card base with retired Confetti White cardstock.

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_2

On the back flap I stamped and punched out an image from the Very Merry Tags stamp set with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch. I haven't stamped directly on designer paper very much, but I really like the look!

Stampin_up_snow_day_gift_card_holder_3

Inside the flap I stamped the "to: from:", also from Very Merry Tags. The entire gift card holder was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_naughty_nice_gift_card_holder_1

I also created this simple Santa gift card holder with the Envelope Punch Board. I used Real Red 12"x12" Core'dinations cardstock because it is a great deal right now on the Clearance Rack. I accented the Basic Black bellyband with a Silver Glimmer faux "buckle" created by punching with the Petite Curly Label Punch first, then punching the Curly Label Punch around the negative space left from the first punch. The "HO HO HO" is from the Naughty & Nice This & That Rotary Stamp in the Holiday Catalog, punched with the Word Window punch.

Stampin_up_naughty_nice_gift_card_holder_2

Inside the flap I used the same "to: from:" from the Very Merry Tags set, stamped in Jet Black StazOn.

The dimensions for these giftcard holders are 6" x 6". To get the elongated shape, I started by putting a corner of the square at 3"on the Envelope Punch Board, punching, then scoring with the scoring tool included with the board. I turned the square a quarter turn, then put the new corner at 2 5/8", punching, then scoring. I turned the square a quarter turn again, then put the third corner at 3" again, punching, and then scoring. I turned the square a quarter turn one last time, put the fourth corner at 2 5/8" again, punched, and scored. I then snipped out the excess slivers of cardstock from along the sides of the flaps (once you have punched & scored with the Envelope Punch Board you will know what I am referring to)

The pocket for the gift card is secured with Glue Dots on the 3 closed flaps, leaving one flap un-glue-dotted to serve as the opening flap.

The dimensions for the bellyband is 1" x 8 1/2". I wrapped the strip of paper around the pocket, then secured it to itself with Glue Dots.

The snowman & the belt buckle are adhered to the bellybands with Stampin' Dimensionals.

While I am at it, let me give you the dimensions for cutting and scoring the Envelope Punch Board Treat Pocket I showed you HERE

Winter Frost Designer Paper is 4" x 4' square, scored and punched with all four corners at 1 3/4".

That's all for now! You can order all of the supplies to make today's projects (with the exception of the retired cardstock and designer paper) from my Online Store:

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You File Folder Gift Card!

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You File Folder Gift Card!

Hey there! I just spent the day with Liam and Jaxon again! Good times! They are so fun! At one point they were both dancing to the music of a Curious George movie I had playing for them and Jaxon pulled on my hand and said "up!" because he wanted me to dance with them! It's hard to dance with tears streaming down your face, but I managed, then thanked God for these precious little fellows I get to love!

Today's project is another made with the Envelope Punch Board, this time a "file folder" gift card holder:

Stampin_up_wishing_you_1

I used the Wishing You stamp set (#131748 wood-mount $14.95, #131751 clear-mount $11.95) for the greeting and on the Notecard Envelopes (#131528 $5.50 for 40 Crumb Cake envelopes measuring 5 1/8" x 3 5/8") Did you even KNOW these existed in the catalog? They are on page 162 of the Annual Catalog. They are so cute!

I made the gift card holder to fit inside the envelope. I adhered the Season of Style Designer Paper (#132340 $10.95) to the front flap and the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape ( #132155 $4.95) to the Crumb Cake base before punching with the Envelope Punch Board (#133744 $19.95) and then cutting off the excess with my Stampin' Trimmer (#126889 $29.95).

I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon (#132135 $8.95) around both card flaps to create the pouch for the gift card. After stamping the greeting from Wishing You with Cherry cobbler ink, I punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch (#119850 $16.95) and adhered over the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430 $3.95)

You can shop for all the supplies to make these little babies in my Online Store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

As long as you get your order placed by December 17th you should receive your order before Christmas!

This little gift card holder is the final project we will be making at my Christmas Catch-up and Customer Appreciation Open House on December 13th! Now to just get busy and prep all the packets!

That's all for now! I'm really excited for Wednesday. Not only do I have the whole day to be at home with no where to go (it's amazing how seldom that happens!), but my Spring Occasions Catalog pre-order arrives tomorrow too! Yippee! I ordered a BUNCH of fun new stuff that we will be playing with starting in January!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
