Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 20th!

Hey there! Happy Father's Day and Happy First Day of Summer! The first day of summer is actually kind of sad, as it means soon the days will start getting shorter as the world starts heading toward fall (in our part of the world, anyway)

Regardless, today is another Sunday Swap day, so it's time to share some swaps!

First, Garden Birdhouses with the Bark 3D embossing folder and Double Oval Punch by an anonymous creator.

Second, Kathy Johnson also used Garden Birdhouses. She also used one of the Basic Borders Dies to cut a cloud stencil to use with a Blending Brush to create the fluffy clouds background!

Next, Kathy Morgan used the Seascape Bundle with one of the Layering Diorama Dies for her card creation:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 20th!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts & Pretty Flowers!

Hey there! Today I have a pair of cards to share with you created with the retiring Happy Thoughts stamp set and the new Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

After embossing Basic White with the Pretty Flowers folder I colored the raised images with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. I used the bullet end, not the brush tip, to color to have better control of how much ink flowed onto the paper.

For this version I added a piece of Evening Evergreen designer paper, Evening Evergreen 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, and a greeting stamped with Polished Pink ink.

Inside:

My second version is very similar, but I embossed Evening Evergreen card stock for the bottom front layer.

I stamped the same greeting with Evening Evergreen ink and punched with the Double Oval punch.

I embossed the envelope flap with the same Pretty Flowers folder.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical for VBS!

Hey there! I'm so glad that the pandemic restrictions are starting to relax, especially since that means we can now have Vacation Bible School! yay! I am the Crafts Director for almost 100 kids and I love to use my Stampin' Up! supplies for at least one of the daily projects. Last year our theme was going to be "Mystery Island" so I ordered the Timeless Tropical stamp set and the In The Tropics dies. Last year's VBS was cancelled, but they decided to do "Mystery Island" this year so I was ready!

We have found that the kids do better when they can wear their projects home, so we try to put everything on a string necklace, if possible. Today's project is a tropical-themed memory verse medallion:

I cut the pineapple from Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry card stock, then added a little sponging with Early Espresso ink. I used Garden Green and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers to ink palm trees before stamping on Crumb Cake. Everything, including the Memory Verse flower, were cut with In the Tropics dies.

I printed the Memory Verse with my computer, cut with the die, then stamped over it with the tropical flower using Flirty Flamingo ink. I adhered everything to a Coastal Cabana base layer that I embossed with the Bark 3D folder to resemble water waves.

I used my retired Crop-a-dile to punch the hold for the string, then added Flirty Flamingo reinforcements I cut with my new Tailor Made Tags dies.

Stampin’ Up! Pierced Blooms on a Brick Wall!

Hey there! Today I have another In Bloom/Pierced Blooms birthday card to share with you!

This time I used all of the New In Colors, with the exception of Evening Evergreen!

I stamped the greeting directly on the Crumb Cake layer before embossing with the Brick & Mortar folder. I added a bit of bling with Polished Pink In Color Jewels, which are off the back order list!

I embossed the inside Crumb Cake layer just for fun, and covered the envelope flap with Pansy Petals Designer Paper.

First a fun fold created by Jan Farring with the Pansy Patch Bundle of stamps and dies and the Pansy Petals Designer Paper:

She combined two Pansy Patch sentiments inside. (both the outside and inside layers are Mango Melody, not two different yellows)
