Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Gift Card Holders!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Gift Card Holders!

Hey there! I'm back a little late in the day, but I've got some really cute gift card holders from my October monthly swap to share that I think you are going to LOVE!

First, Marcie Besecker used the Jolly Christmas set for her adorable Santa gift card holder:

She also made a pop-out holder inside for the gift card:

Next, Ruth Bingle used the Gift Bow Bigz L Die and Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper:

Lift up the flap of the present and the gift card slides up!

Finally, Kelly Acheson used the Oh, What Fun set with Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper for a Flap Fold gift card holder:

I love the stamped "HO HO HO" from Oh, What Fun on the diagonal-striped paper!

Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments for November Online Class!

Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments for November Online Class!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the first of the three November Online Class Christmas cards. I hadn't stamped much with Embellished Ornaments yet, or played with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlets, so this bundle was my first choice!

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_1 - Copy

I've had a request to teach the Envelope Punch Board and Stamp-a-ma-jig, so I incorporated both into my project.

I used the Precision Base Plate to cut the intricate Red Foil ornament. My first try the design didn't completely cut all the way through, even though I cranked it through my Big Shot twice. Each Big Shot has its' own "tension", some squeeze dies and folders tighter than others.  For my second try I added another layer of scrap card stock under the Red Foil, cranked it twice, and all the little pieces practically fell out!

My card is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square, so I created a square envelope with the Envelope Punch Board:

Hand-made envelopes won't really go through the mail,  so I stamped a punched Decorative Label with the "boughs of holly" image from Embellished Ornaments with Mossy Meadow ink, then added some glitz with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Stampin’ Up! Convention Day 1 A Cupcake Party!

Stampin’ Up! Convention Day 1 A Cupcake Party!

Hey there! How about some Convention highlights? I will start out with some personal pics, then share one of my favorite card samples at the end!

Upon entering the Salt Palace we were greeted by a giant banner proclaiming the  2015 Convention theme: Inspire Create Share.

One thing I value most about Stampin' Up! events is the chance to make new friends and catch up with old ones. I met Brandy Cox, Stampin' Up! top demonstrator in sales (over 300K!) at the Founder's Circle Retreat last fall. It was great to get a chance to congratulate her success!

Stampin' Up! events include Prize Patrol. I was lucky to win this set from the Holiday Catalog, Holly Jolly Greetings!

Awards Night on Thursday night began with a resounding Charleston to set the Roaring 20's mood!

Inspire create share 2015 awards night

Everyone was encouraged to put on their best 20's costume, resulting in a few "twins", and in this case "triplets"! In the center is my dear downline, Martha Swift, posing with her look-a-likes!

Pam Morgan is one of my dearest friends from the Corporate Team. I always make sure to chat with her at every event.

Finally, here's one of my favorite samples from the first day, an adorable Cupcake Party card created by Alison Okamitsu. Check out her Canadian blog: Nice People Stamp!
