Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Favorites!

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Favorites!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stampers Dozen May Blog Hop! Our May theme is "New Catalog Favorites", so you'll be getting glimpses of each of our favorite products from the New Annual Catalog!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

So far my favorite in the New Annual Catalog is the Expressions In In Suite found on pages 96-97. It's even featured on the front of the catalog!

I used one of the coordinating colors found in the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Paper, Pale Papaya, to create my card:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pale_papaya_carolpaynestamps1

I used two layering circles dies to create the window to see the greeting inside the card.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pale_papaya_carolpaynestamps2

I accented with Genial Gems.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pale_papaya_carolpaynestamps3

Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thanks!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created with the Artistically Inked Bundle. If you have been visiting my blog this week, you know I've been featuring this bundle every day since Monday. Today I used the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic 6" x 6" Specialty Paper to create this:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

I cut the Gold Metallic paper (it's really a glimmer paper, but the photo doesn't show you how sparkly this die-cut really is) with one of the Artistic Dies. I added it with strategically placed glue dots.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps2

This gold striped paper is from the Expressions In Ink Specialty paper pack. I stamped the "thanks" from the Artistically Inked stamp set directly on the paper, embossing with Clear Embossing Powder. Stamping on the gold stripes makes the word look like it is behind them!

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps3 (2)

Inside I used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments to coordinate with the greeting on the front.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps4 (2)

I stamped the same image I had stamped on the inside layer all around the Magenta Madness card front with Magenta Madness to add texture and depth to the card front.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps5 (2)

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop, ok?

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Triple Time!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Triple Time!

Hey there! If you have been following my blog, you know how much I like the Triple Time technique. I decided to create a couple of cards with this technique and the Artistically Inked stamp set to share with you today:

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

I created two versions, one simply stamped, and the other stamped and then embossed with the Pretty Flowers folder.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps2 (2)

After stamping and assembling all of the layers, I stamped the greeting from Artistically Inked in Tuxedo Black ink.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps3

Everything stamped on these cards comes from the Artistically Inked stamp set.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps4 (2)

For my second card I stamped the Triple Time layers like my first card, then ran them through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine before assembling the layers.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps5 (2)

I also added Soft Succulent ink to the embossing with a Blending Brush. Like the first card, I tied a bit of Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon in a knot around the top layers.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps6

I used the Soft Succulent In Color Jewels for a bit of sparkle!

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps7

Inside with a bit of blended Soft Succulent.

Stampin_up_triple_time_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps8 (2)

Card Measurements:

Soft Succulent base & mat layers: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded at 4 1/4, 3 1/2" x 4 1/2", 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"

 Basic White layers: 4" x 5 1/4", 3" x 4 1/4", 2" x 3 1/4" inside layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Ribbon: about 8 inches

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy Expressions In Ink!

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy Expressions In Ink!

Hey there! Today I paired the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper with the soon-to-be-retiring Quite Curvy Bundle from the Spring Mini Catalog!

Stampin_up_quite_curvy_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

After I cut the front white layer with one of the Curvy dies, I embossed with the Pretty Flowers folder and then layered over a strip of Expressions In Ink designer paper, leaving about an inch of the designer paper showing. (See the measurements at the bottom of this post to re-create!)

I stamped the Quite Curvy greeting with Shaded Spruce ink, then cut with an Ornate Frames die. I finished off the card front with the gold leaves and iridescent sequins from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack.

Stampin_up_quite_curvy_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I stamped another sentiment from Quite Curvy with the same Shaded Spruce ink.

Stampin_up_quite_curvy_carolpaynestamps3 (2)

Although this sentiment was already curved, I curved it more to fit the inside of my card.

Stampin_up_quite_curvy_carolpaynestamps5

Measurements:

Basic White Thick base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4" front layer: 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" inside: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Designer Paper front: 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" inside strip: 1/2" x 3 1/2" envelope flap: 2 1/4" x 5 3/4"

White greeting strip: 1 1/4" x 3"

Shaded Spruce inside mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
