Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Birthday Cards January 14!

Hey there! It's Sunday again, which means it's time for Sunday Sway Day! yay! If you are new to my blog, Sunday Swap Day is the regularly scheduled day when I share the swaps I receive in the swap group I participate in.

First, Christine Bertram used Big on Birthdays with Naturally Eclectic Designer Paper for her bold and bright card!

After stamping with Fresh Fig and softly coloring the flowers with Blender Pens, she added shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

She used a sentiment from Birthday Blossoms to complete the inside.

Next, in another month Christine created this free-standing box card using Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Bunch of Blossoms, and Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies.

She used Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, and So Saffron to complement the colors in the Delightful Daisy paper.

This card still fits inside a Medium Whisper White envelope!

She finished the remaining two panels with a Bunch of Blossoms sentiment and a Wisteria Wonder panel embossed with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Folder.

Next, Amy Combs used Birthday Memories and Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper to create her birthday card.

She simply punched the cake from Birthday Memories with a circle punch. Easy peasy! A circle of Fabulous Foil Designer Series Paper and a Metallic Foil Doily complete the Garden Green and Blushing Bride circles cut with Layering Circles Framelits. A Clear Faceted Gem finishes it off.

I think I should have called today "cards by Christine"! My final swap to share today is also by Christine Bertram! For this winter birthday card Christine stamped a background of varying blue snowflakes with the Colorful Seasons stamp set, layered on a silver Foil Snowflake (now retired) and added a Happy Birthday Gorgeous greeting cut with a circle punch and matted with Soft Sky punched with the Starburst Punch.

Cool and wintry!

She finished the inside nicely with more Colorful Seasons snowflakes and a Happy Birthday Gorgeous sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery Birthday Cake!

Hey there! Oh my, just one more card with the Birthday Delivery Bundle left to share. Again, this card is a swap I received that I am finishing and adding to the line-up we will be making at my Birthday Delivery Card Class next week. This card front was created by Sandy Carlson. The card inside is my creation:

Sandy used Birthday Delivery stamps, Birthday Friends Framelits, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, the whole bundle! She also used Layering Squares Framelits, Stitched Squares Framelits, and a sliver of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. My contribution to this card front was to add Clear Wink of Stella to the candle flames.

I tried to make the inside "match" the outside of the card as much as possible with the same colors and a strip of the same Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper print. I pulled out a new set, Special Celebrations, for the sentiments.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery Pastry Chef!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you another card we will be making at my Birthday Memories card class next week. I chose a swap I received from Lisa Pressley because I love the happy little pastry chef she used from the Birthday Delivery stamp set! She stamped "Happy Birthday" with Real Red ink on the Whisper White layer before she embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions folder. I also love her classic bakery color combo of Basic Black, Real Red, and Whisper White!

After stamping the chef with Basic Black Archival ink on Whisper White, she colored him simply with Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Smoky Slate. A Birthday Friends framelit expertly cut him out in a snap! The Basic Black rectangle is softly sponged with Whisper White ink for a blackboard/tile effect.

Lisa's swap was blank on the inside, so I used a mixture of sentiments from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, continuing the color palette of Basic Black, Real Red, and Whisper White.

The card front is finished off with Basic Black Baker's Twine, of course!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery Quarterfold!

Hey there! Tuesday Liam and Darcy came to stay for a few days while their mommy is a church camp counselor and their daddy works. I also had Jaxon Tuesday night. I have L&D until this evening, then Jaxon comes again to spend the night with me during the last night of camp. Quite a whirlwind week!

Today's card features a fold I haven't made in a long time, the quarter-fold. It's a fun card that would work really well to include a gift card or a candy bar. I used Real Red for my card base, then layered pieces of Birthday Memories Designer Paper on each quarter of that would show when it is folded.

I cut Pacific Point card stock with the Happy Birthday Thinlets die, then cut away the "Happy" so it would fit nicely on the Real Red oval embossed with the Oh My Stars folder. I cut a Pacific Point scallop oval to peek from behind the red layer. The "birthday" does have a little dot for the "i" built in, but I added a Silver Metallic Enamel Shape for a bit of sparkle.

I stamped "SURPRISE" with Real Red on a 3/4" x 2 1/2" Whisper White strip that I snipped banner points on one end. I tied a bit of Pacific Point Stitched-Edge ribbon in a bow and added with a glue dot.

The quarter fold goes together like the top of a box. I adhered the oval on the upper left fold with three dimensionals for stability.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery Foursquare!

Hey there! I'm playing with the Birthday Memories Suite; nailing down the projects for my Birthday Memories Card Class. I'm showing off the gorgeous prints from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper with this card:

Each DSP square is mounted on the Daffodil Delight background, then mounted on Real Red before adhering to the Pacific Point card base.

I cut the birthday cake from Birthday Memories Designer Paper with a Birthday Friends framelit, then mounted it over a piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched-Edge Ribbon tied in a simple knot.

I added a Real Red Enamel Shape to the greeting strip. The Enamel Shapes, which come in Brights, Regals, and Subtles, have carried over from the last catalog. I seldom used them last year, but already I've used them bunches. They coordinate perfectly with this suite!

Inside I stamped more Birthday Delivery images. This card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square. The layers are 4" x 4" and 3 3/4" x 3 3/4".

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery “little golden book”!

Hey there! As soon as I saw the new Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, I wanted to make a "little golden book"!

I cut a Pacific Point card base 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", scoring at 4 1/4". Although square, it still fits in a medium envelope.

The little animals in this design also remind me of Richard Scarry characters, especially this little bunny!

I tied Pacific Point 1/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon for texture and "pop"!

Several dies in the Birthday Friends Framelits cut Birthday Delivery images and Birthday Memories Designer Paper images. So cool!

Inside I used more Birthday Delivery images, and added a Balloon Honeycomb Embellishment in a unique way.

Instead of putting the honeycomb balloon on the card front where it would get squashed in the mail, I adhered on the inside of the card fold. When the card is opened the balloon is "inflated"! It also won't contribute to extra postage to mail, (although the ribbon knot might!)

We'll make this card at my Birthday Memories Card Class later this month. We'll be using all of the products in the Birthday Memories Suite on page 68 & 69 of the new Annual Catalog to create 5 cards for the $15 fee or free with a $40 product order.
