Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Slim-Line!

Hey there! I have one more Celebrate Sunflowers card to share with you today. I've been seeing the trend of a new sized card called a "slim-fold", so when one of my stampers asked to make one I decided to give it a try!

A "slim" card is 8" x 9", scored and folded at 4". This card will fit in a regular business-sized envelope and should only need one first-class stamp as long as you keep the layers to a minimum.

After stamping the sunflowers with Tuxedo Black ink (the best ink to stamp when you are going to color with Stampin' Blends because the alcohol in the blends doesn't dissolve the tuxedo ink) I colored with Mango Melody Stampin' Blends and added Clear Wink of Stella to the center of the colored sunflowers. I also colored around them with Light Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends.

The beauty of the "slim" card is there is more room to really let the larger images shine.

Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight Sunflowers!

Hey there! While I was creating the two Celebrate Sunflowers cards I shared with you yesterday I started thinking about another look I could achieve with this same set and the Triple Time Technique. I started with a Misty Moonlight base and layers and then took it from there to this!

After doing all of the sunflower stamping with Momento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored the central sunflower with both shades of Mango Melody Stampin' Blends. To spotlight the spotlighting even more I added Light Seaside Spray around it, giving a soft washed look around all of the areas touching the colored sunflower.

I heat-embossed the greeting with white powder and hand-cut with my paper snips. I really love this look!

I added another pop of color with a Bumblebee In Color Enamel Dot!

I love how the black stamping on white surrounded by Misty Moonlight takes on a "blue hue"!

I love how the black stamping on white surrounded by Misty Moonlight takes on a "blue hue"!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Triple Time!

Hey there! I have more cards created with the Flowers For Every Season Suite, this time with Celebrate Sunflowers and the Triple Time Technique. You know how much I love this technique!

The Triple Time look is achieved by adhering the layers to each other with a tiny bit of adhesive, then stamping the images firmly over the entire layers. Don't worry about the areas near the layer edges that are not inked, these will be covered by the Early Espresso mat layers. The largest sunflower is colored with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers for a "spotlighted" look.

The greeting is heat-embossed with white powder and the banner ends are hand-cut with paper snips.

My slightly stepped-up version is identical, with the exception of the greeting has been fussy-cut with paper snips before adhering with dimensionals.

I added Clear Wink of Stella to the seed centers of both sunflower cards.

The insides are simply stamped with Celebrate Sunflowers images.

Stampin’ Up! Snow Wonder Vintage Snowman!

Hey there! Today I have another Snow Wonder Snowman card to share with you. I wanted it to have a vintage look so I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock, and Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper:

I embossed the copper Brushed Metallic card stock with the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder:

I heat-embossed the snow man with Versamark and Clear Stampin' Emboss powder on Crumb Cake card stock.

I highlighted the holly leaves and berries with touches of Watercolor Pencil and accented a snowflake with a Wonderful Gem:

"Happy Christmas" is also heat embossed with clear powder and versamark, then cut with a Snow Time Die.

I heat embossed the inside with Versamark and Clear Stampin' Emboss powder too.

Stampin’ Up! Snow Wonder Snowman!

Hey there! After the smashing success of my Snow Wonder card and video on Saturday for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop I wanted to follow-up with a snowman card I created with the same set! I used Misty Moonlight and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and Blue Adhesive Backed Gems.

I stamped the snowman with Versamark ink, then heat-embossed with Clear Embossing Powder to get the tone-on-tone look!

"Happy Christmas" is included in Snow Wonder and was cut with a Snow Time Die.

I stamped the inside of this gate fold card with another Snow Wonder sentiment and snowflakes.

As I was creating this card I experimented with more than one embossing powder to see which look I like the best. I like the white heat embossed snowmen, but I feel the detail isn't quite as crisp. What do you think?
