Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies Sneak Peek!

Hey there! I've been working on swaps to mail out this week. I still have 2 to create, but this one is finished and ready to go! I used the Paisleys & Posies suite of products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog to create this:

I let the colors in the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Paper guide my color palette: Delightful Dijon, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry, and Copper.

Paisleys & Posies includes this sentiment as well as the tiny leaves I stamped with Rich Razzleberry.

The detail provided from the Pretty Paisleys Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

Copper Foil cut with a Paisley Framelit Die and a Metal Rimmed Pearl are the finishing touches. If you don't have the Precision Base Plate and the new Big Shot Platform, you will NEED them to cut with these intricately detailed dies, and the Die Brush and accompanying foam pad are essential too!

Inside stamped with another sentiment and images from Paisleys & Posies using Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry ink.

Now I'm heading back to my crafting table to see what else my Holiday Catalog pre-order goodies will inspire!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Little Scarecrow!

Hey there! This month's swap theme was the Holiday Catalog pre-order, so I used the happy little scarecrow from Cookie Cutter Halloween and sentiments from Paisleys & Posies:

I made two samples, this one with a Better Together sentiment:

I stamped Mr. Scarecrow with black ink, coloring with ink squeezed onto the inkpad lids using a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I stamped his coat on a design of Paisleys & Posies Specialty Designer Paper, cut it out, and adhered over the stamped body. I colored his face cap, pants, and patches with So Saffron, Night of Navy, and Cajun Craze ink.

Using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint on the ink leaves a pretty shimmer!

I used this sentiment from Paisleys & Posies for my swaps. I embossed the So Saffron background with the Petal Burst Folder, then sponged with Crumb Cake ink.

I finished the inside with a sentiment and images from Paisleys & Posies.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Little Scarecrow!

Hey there! This month's swap theme was the Holiday Catalog pre-order, so I used the happy little scarecrow from Cookie Cutter Halloween and sentiments from Paisleys & Posies:

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends Black Cat!

Hey there! Playing with my Holiday Catalog pre-order, I created this card with Swirly Scribbles Thinlets, Foxy Friends, Labeler Alphabet, and Cookie Cutter Halloween, coming in the Holiday Catalog on September 1st!a

After cutting the "pumpkin" from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper (available to order Sept. 1st), with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet, I put the center back in the swirls to look more "pumpkin-y".

It's easy to make the kitty with the Fox Builder Punch! I stamped the kitty face and front legs with Foxy Friends and Whisper White Craft ink. I punched the tail from Basic Black card stock, then trimmed into a kitty tail with Paper Snips.

I added eyes with So Saffron punched with the Tree Builder Punch raindrop. I added pupils with a Project Life Journaling Pen.

I embossed the background with the Lucky Stars folder, and the So Saffron "moon" with the Softly Falling folder. I sponged the stars with Whisper White Craft ink and the moon with So Saffron Classic ink. I used Labeler Alphabet to create the "BOO!", and hand-snipped the bat from Cookie Cutter Halloween!

Inside I used an Acorny Thank You sentiment, and cut another pumpkin with the smallest Swirly Scribbles Thinlet. Leaves were cut with a Swirly Scribbles thinlet.

Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends Black Cat!

After cutting the "pumpkin" from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper (available to order Sept. 1st), with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet, I put the center back in the swirls to look more "pumpkin-y".

I added eyes with So Saffron punched with the Tree Builder Punch raindrop. I added pupils with a Project Life Journaling Pen.

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop, Thoughtful Branches Bundle!

For my creation, I used a Crumb Cake Notecard & Envelope for a quick and easy card. I decided to just feature the stamp set, not the coordinating Beautiful Branches Framelits, because I know not everyone has a Big Shot and sometimes it’s hard to find cards that don’t use at least one element from it.

I used the Baby Wipe Technique to quickly ink the foliage of the tree with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Always Artichoke. The stamps are created to fit together perfectly. This large foliage stamp has a “tab” on the bottom so you know which way to stamp so the tree trunk will fit inside!

I frayed the edges of 5/8″ Burlap ribbon to add behind the Copper-embossed, hand-cut sentiment. I stamped-off the Cajun Craze leaf on scrap paper before stamping on the Very Vanilla, rubbed it with the Embossing Buddy to make sure the ink was dry, stamped the sentiment with Versamark, sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder, and heated with my Heat Tool. I hand-cut the sentiment with my Paper Snips, leaving a bit of vanilla edge for smoothness.

Stampin’ Up! Martha Swifts’ Creations with A Nice Cuppa!

Hey there! I am finishing the final touches for the "Be Mine" Stampin' Up!/Young Living Essential Oils Valentine Class the afternoon, so I have to be quick!

I always encourage my team to bring their latest creations to share at our meetings. Martha Swift always has beautiful ideas, and the cards she brought to the January meeting did not disappoint!

First, Martha created her shoebox swap with the " A Nice Cuppa" set:

She had also created a Nice Cuppa Shaker card for display!

When I first saw that the Cup & Kettle Framelits had a fork, knife, and spoon, I couldn't imagine what they would be used for, but now I see!

She offered two colors for the shoebox swap. I made this one in Basic Gray!

She had us layer a cup cut from Botanical Gardens Vellum (a free Sale-a-bration item) over another cup for a fabulous look!

One thing I learned, when applying vellum on a small item, you can completely cover the vellum with SNAIL and it won't show through!

I love this sentiment from A Nice Cuppa:

We cut the teapot from Silver Foil for the inside of Martha's swap:

Martha brought a few more creations, but I will save them for another day.
