Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Double Z-fold!

Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Double Z-fold!

Hey there! We had a wonderful day celebrating all of our August birthdays yesterday, but now it's back to school and the work week! Tonight I am having a Shoe Box card swap with my team, The Yes Mam! Stampers, and I can hardly wait!

The next Night in Bethlehem creation I shared at Vacation Stamping School was a Double Z-fold. I paired the Night in Bethlehem bundle with Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper and used Lots of Labels Framelitsto cut the greeting layers.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps1

This is the first project that I used the coordinating framelits to cut out the Holy Family. Such a great look, and super easy to cut with my Big Shot!

Stampin_up_night_i_bethelehem_carolpaynestamps

The little die-cuts are so easy to adhere with the new Mini Stampin' Dimensionals!

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps8

I cut three pieces of the Bethlehem skyline with the thinlet from the bundle, attaching the pieces with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps2

"Aerial view" lol!

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps4

I cut the Nativity Star and greeting mats from Silver Glimmer Paper.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps5

I added an "inside" layer to the back of the card with Smoky Slate and Whisper White. There has to be somewhere to sign it, right?

Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Slider!

Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Slider!

Hey there! Another of my favorite projects I shared with Vacation Stamping School were these two slider cards I created with the Night in Bethlehem set:

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_slider_carolpaynestamps1

First I created this Versamark Resist version. To do the Versamark Resist technique, I stamped the "milky way" stars image from Star of Light and the Nativity star from Night in Bethlehem with Versamark on glossy card stock. I then used a Sponge Brayer to roll first Soft Sky and then Night of Navy over the stamped images. After I got the color intensity I wanted I then rubbed the images gently with a Kleenex to remove the excess ink. The Versamark "resisted" the ink, leaving soft star images.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_slider_carolpaynestamps2
For my "stepped-up" version I heat embossed the same images on glossy card stock with white and silver embossing powder before brayering the same Soft Sky/Night of Navy colors over them. After rubbing away the excess ink with a Kleenex I then sponged the edges with Basic Black ink. I mounted the piece on Basic Black, then added it to a Basic Black/Merry Music Specialty Paper layer that I punched with the Classic Label Punch to create the slider opening.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_slider_carolpaynestamps5
I stamped the "milky way" image with stamped-off Night of Navy ink and then stamped the Night in Bethlehem sentiment with Basic Black ink on a 2" x 4 1/2" strip that I punched one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create the end to attach the ribbon pull.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_slider_carolpaynestamps6
I added a 1/4" wide strip to both sides of the other end of the tag to create a "stop" so the tag won't fall out of the opening.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_slider_carolpaynestamps7

I finished off the tag with Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edged Ribbon for the pull.

Inside I finished with the Star of Light "milky way" and Night in Bethlehem images:

Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso Night in Bethlehem!

Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso Night in Bethlehem!

Hey there! The Night in Bethlehem set gave me lots of room to create! After my "warm up" Tranquil Tide cards I shared yesterday, I moved on to Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, and Gold for my color palette. I heat embossed the star with gold powder in the upper left corner, making sure I rubbed the card stock with my Embossing Buddy first to remove static and oils.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps1

Sponging is an easy way to add depth and texture to your creation. The Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog was perfect for this card, but it is Whisper White-based, not vanilla, so I sponged the edges with Soft Suede and very lightly sponge brayered with Crumb Cake. (In real life it looks more aged and yellowed than it does here.)

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps2

I gold-embossed the greeting on a strip of Very Vanilla that I used Paper Snips to cut banner points on one end. I added a wrap of Linen Thread to finish.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I used more Night in Bethlehem images, gold-embossing the sentiment and stars. I stamped the Bethlehem skyline with Early Espresso, and sponged the edges with Soft Suede.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_gold_carolpaynestamps

This set may be my favorite in the whole Holiday Catalog!

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tide Night in Bethlehem!

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tide Night in Bethlehem!

Hey there! It's my birthday today! I remember when I was a little girl, I waited for this day ALL YEAR. Next to Christmas, it was my favorite day. Now with a husband, 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law, 3 sons, and 9 grandchildren, my birthday has taken a backseat in my attention; not because I don't like getting another year older, I actually don't mind (much), but my family is more important to me than me.

Be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post. I have a little gift for everyone ordering from me today!

Today I'm sharing another project I created for Vacation Stamping School with the Night In Bethlehem set. This was actually my "warm up" project before I moved on to more advanced/technique cards. I used a simple combo of Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla. I embossed a layer of Tranquil Tide with the Holly Textured Impressions Folder to go behind the vanilla stamped layer.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped everything with Tranquil Tide ink, and tied  Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in a bow on the side. I sponged all of the edges with Tranquil Tide ink. This card would be a super simple one to duplicate for your Christmas card!

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps4

For my second card I rearranged the images, embossing the bottom layer with the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Folder. I also switched out the ribbon for Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps3

I just love this set! The images are easy to stamp and the meaning of the sentiments are so special!

Hey there and welcome to the Thailand Achievers Blog Hop! With the start of the Holiday Catalog right around the corner, (September 1st!), our theme for August is appropriately designated as "Holiday Catalog Sneak Peeks"! Currently you are visiting Carol Payne. When it's time to move to the next blog, just click on the name below mine and hop along through the list to enjoy all of the inspiration and creativity. You just might find THE CARD you want to make for your Christmas cards this year or perhaps a 3-D project that will fulfill your needs for family, friends, teachers, coworkers, etc.

I couple of weeks ago I was blessed to be asked to present at a demonstrator event, Vacation Stamping School. I chose the Night in Bethlehem Bundle to share, so today I'm sharing one of my projects:

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps1

This easy project received a collective "gasp" when I shared it. In addition to the beautiful images and the coordinating Bethlehem Edgelit dies, I used Foil Snowflakes, Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Fresh Fig 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps3

I sponged the night sky with Fresh Fig ink first, then added Night of Navy above, blending them together a bit with my sponge.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps2

I cut a stencil to sponge the Bethlehem "skyline" with a Bethlehem Edgelit Die. I laid it on Very Vanilla before sponging Fresh Fig, and then Night of Navy.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps6

After I removed the stencil I gold heat-embossed the Nativity star.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps7

All of the images I used on this card are included in the Night in Bethlehem set.

Stampin_up_night_in_bethlehem_carolpaynestamps5

I shared several projects at Vacation Stamping School. I will be sharing another one on Thursday!

Stampin’ Up! More Carols of Christmas from Vacation Stamping School!

Stampin’ Up! More Carols of Christmas from Vacation Stamping School!

Hey there! One of the great things about going to Stampin' Up! events, whether sponsored by Stampin' Up! or demonstrators, is getting to see and share ideas. Everyone shares freely, inspiring and give us all a much needed boost for our business.

This freely sharing of ideas is why I can take and share so many pictures with you!

First, I do know the creator of this card, Julie Davison. Julie did her presentation using the Carols of Christmas Bundle. This card is quick and easy, using one of the bold images from Carols of Christmas, one of the two border dies, Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon, and Layering Squares Framelits:

Julie also demonstrated the "Glitter Window" technique and "Double-Dutch" folds:

This card by Julie uses the moon & stars border die from the Carols of Christmas Bundle and the Sparkle Textured Impressions folder:

This card was entered into a Card Contest, thus the number attached.
