Stampin’ Up! Perched in a Tree!

Hey there! Today I have a pair of cards we will be making at my Christmas in July in August Class this weekend. My stampers will have the choice to make basically the same card, but with two choices of Painted Christmas Designer paper behind the Aspen Tree die-cut Kraft paper layer or to emboss the Aspen Tree die-cut layer with the Timber 3D embossing folder or not! Which one do you prefer?

Here is the un-embossed card. All of the stamped images and sentiments I used are included in the Perched in a Tree stamp set. You can buy the stamps and the dies together in a bundle or buy the stamps and then order other products to total $100 and get the Aspen Tree dies for free! This is a great Sale-a-bration deal, but only while supplies last or until August 31st!

This cute fat birdie is all fluffed out to keep warm in the cold! I added Clear Wink of Stella to him for a bit of shimmer, which of course doesn't show in the picture but looks great in real life!

I added color to the birdie, which is stamped with Soft Suede, using the splotchy stamp included in the Perched in a Tree set. Here are examples of the splotches stamped with full-strength Soft Suede and stamped-off-once Soft Suede. For the finished birdie I used stamped-off-twice Soft Suede before adding the Clear Wink of Stella.

I stamped the greeting with Soft Suede ink on Soft Succulent before cutting out with the larger leaf die-cut from the Aspen Tree Dies. I added a few Champagne Rhinestones for some autumn sparkle!

I cut one more Soft Succulent leaf and rhinestone to finish it all off!

Inside I embossed a Kraft layer with the Timber 3D embossing folder before adding a Soft Succulent layer stamped with another Perched In A Tree sentiment and the branch image with Soft Suede ink.

Here's the alternate sample with the pine cone Painted Christmas background and the Aspen Tree die-cut layer embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder.

Embossing the layer is an easy but elegant added touch!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer for Christmas in July!

Hey there! Today I am back with another card we will be making at my Christmas in July in August Class this weekend. I wanted to use the Peaceful Deer stamp set with the coordinating Deer Builder Punch because I didn't get to use it much last year, so I pulled both out and started to play!

I embossed the white background layer with the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder, as well as a separate white layer to fit inside the Evening Evergreen frame I cut with the Fabulous Frames die. After stamping the "oh what fun" deer with Real Red ink, I added the eye and nose with the fine tip of a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I punched with the Deer Builder Punch, then adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. You can't see in the picture, but I added touches of Clear Wink of Stella to the embossed layer behind the deer.

Evening Evergreen Windowpane Plaid Ribbon was tied in a simple knot. I added a Flat Jingle Bell Trinket just underneath the knot with a Mini Glue Dot.

Stampin’ Up! CASED cards for Christmas in July!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you a couple of cards I chose for my Christmas in July class right out of the bag of swaps I received recently. Many demonstrators trade card ideas with each other. It gives us extra ideas to share with our customers and friends at our parties and on our social media platforms. I loved these two cards so much I just had to copy them completely!

I received this card from Karen Titus. Karen used the Christmas Scottie bundle from the new July-December Holiday Mini Catalog along with Gingham Cottage Designer Paper for her swap!

When I was recreating her card I decided to use the Stamparatus to stamp the solid Scottie Dog image. With the Stamparatus I can stamp the same image multiple times until I get the deep dark ink coverage I need. Then I punched with the Scottie Dog Punch. The only thing I changed was to add the Real Red Glimmer paper punched bow under the twine-wrapped Flat Jingle Bell Trinket. I adhered the Scottie Dog with dimensionals and the bow & bell with glue dots.

The second card I CASED (Copy & Share Everything) was created by Susie Wood. Susie used the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle (stamps & dies) with Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper and a fun fold.

This card just takes a little bit of extra measuring and cutting on the base to get this unique fold!

Stampin’ Up! Silver Trees For Sale!

Hey there! I've been very busy getting "my ducks in a row" before my daughter has her baby boy, Atreyu. Where she got the name is a story for another day, but as of today she is 41 weeks and 5 days. She has gone over two entire weeks before, and this is baby #six, so we shall see! She will be 42 weeks on the Fourth of July, so maybe we will have a "firecracker baby"?!

Today I have another card to share with you that I created with the Trees for Sale stamp set from the brand-new July/December Mini Catalog that just launched yesterday, and the Tree Lot Dies that I chose as my free gift with a $100 order from the Sale-a-bration Brochure!

I had an idea of what I wanted this card to look like when finished, so I started with an Evening Evergreen card base, then added a layer of Silver Foil Specialty cut 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".

After rubbing the 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Evening Evergreen with the embossing buddy found in the NEW Embossing Editions Tool Kit, I stamped the trees, snowflakes, and greeting with Versamark, sprinkled with Silver Embossing Powder, and then used my Heat Tool to make them all raised and shiny before I embossed the layer with the Cascading Ruffles 3D embossing folder and my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

I cut detailed trees from Evening Evergreen using Tree Lot dies, then adhered over the silver embossed trees with tiny dots of liquid glue.

I turned the layer so the Cascading Ruffles 3D embossing folder gave the card front a look of gently rolling hills. The greeting is from the new Hope & Peace stamp set, also found in the July/December 2022 Mini Catalog on page 40! I added this layer to the card front with dimensionals so I could wrap a 15" length of Evening Evergreen 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon around it and tie in a pretty knot. I secured the knot with a Mini Glue Dot. I highlighted the greeting with a small Rhinestone on each side.

Inside I added a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" layer of Smoky Slate card stock, then an embossed Evening Evergreen layer. I finished up the inside with a Basic White 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" layer stamped with another sentiment from Hope & Peace and more tree stamps from the Trees For Sale stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink.

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Sneak Peek: Trees For Sale!

Hey there! I can't believe it's time to start thinking about making Christmas cards again, but with the 2022 July/December Mini Catalog starting this coming Friday and thinking about creating cards for my "Christmas in July" card class, I guess it is!

Last Friday I showed you a fall Mini Catalog Sneak with the Hello Harvest bundle of stamps and dies, so today I have a card created with products from the same catalog; Trees For Sale stamps and the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder.

Before embossing the Shaded Spruce layer I inked the inside of the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder with the White Craft Ink Pad. I love how it gives the trees a look of sprinkled snow! I stamped the largest solid tree with Shaded Spruce ink on Shaded Spruce card stock, then stamped the coordinating detailed tree over it with White Craft ink. After I cut out the tree with a coordinating Tree Lot Die (these dies are free with a $100 order during July or August from the Sale-a-bration brochure), I used a Blending Brush to add White Craft ink to the edges before adding it to the card front with dimensionals.

The string of lights was cut from White Glimmer Paper from the Real Red & White 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper found in the July/December 2022 Mini Catalog. I accented the lights with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I stamped the greeting from Trees For Sale with Real Red ink on a 3/4" x 3 1/4" strip of Basic White card stock. I cut the ends at parallel points with Paper Snips. I cut Shaded Spruce card stock with a die from the same die set, then used the same blending brush to add white craft ink before adhering to the card with tiny dots of liquid glue.

Inside I stamped another Trees For Sale sentiment with Real Red ink and a couple of the smaller solid trees from the set with Shaded Spruce.
