Alaska Achiever’s Blog Hop August Edition: Holiday Catalog from the Incentive Trip!

Hey there and welcome to the Alaska Achiever's Blog Hop! Our theme for August is the Highlights from the trip and the Holiday Catalog!

First, a few highlights from our Alaska Cruise, compliments of Stampin' Up!

Fabulous vistas and glaciers! These pics will never do the real thing justice! Blue ice is incredible!

A trip via narrow-gauge rail, up into the Yukon!

These trees are MUCH OLDER than they look! The harsh winters here have stunted growth!

I was just pinching myself every day to really be here and sharing it all with my love!

Pillow gifts were exciting to discover every evening after dinner!

My creation this month is with the Wishing You Well set from page 35 of the Holiday Catalog. I covered a small legal pad as my gift to my team members at Vacation Stamping School last weekend and the card is just because!

After embossing the layer of Crushed Curry with the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions folder, I slathered it and Early Espresso layer with new Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint! Love this stuff!

The simplicity of these images let you create a theme for any season!

The only part that is the least bit fussy is the bow, which I cut with Paper Snips.

I used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add shimmer to the Cajun Craze-stamped bow!

The card is a mirror of the notebook!

Inside I used a Dashing Deer sentiment:

Stampin’ Up! Animal Outing Spring Card!

Hey there! When I say "spring" card, I'm not referring to a season. The card I'm sharing today by Linda Pagel was created with the Animal Outing Bundle, Tropical Escape 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, and a fun fold, the "spring-fold". She also used the Tropical Thinlets from the Tropical Chic Bundle:

I wanted to share this card with you before the B3G1Free Designer Series Paper Special is over at the end of the month because the Tropical Escape 6" x 6" Designer Paper Linda used is so stinkin' cute! The colors are Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White, and Basic Black.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings, punched twice with the Classic Label Punch.

Stampin’ Up! Delightfully Detailed 2-4-6-8 Box!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you the 3-D project I created for my OnStage Local presentation in Atlanta, GA last Saturday!

I used the Detailed With Love stamp set from the Detailed with Love Suite in the New Annual Catalog to embellish these 2/4/6/8 boxes:

With Stampin' Up!'s Color Revamp they are bringing back former In Colors Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron to the Core Colors. I made a bunch of these boxes to give to my team members who went with me to OnStage. I embossed this box with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions folder, which is carrying over to the new catalog!

Some of the boxes had the Detailed With Love "thank you" cut with a Layering Oval Framelit and some were rectangles of Very Vanilla punched with the new Detailed Trio Punch!

You might think the Detailed Trio Punch looks familiar. In fact, it is an updated version of a punch from an Occasions Catalog a few years ago:

I like the updated punch even better than the old one!

This box is embossed with the carrying-over Basket Weave Textured Impressions Folder:

I punched the sides of the boxes with the 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, then tied them closed with new Very Vanilla 5/8" Polka Dot Ribbon. I added a new Faceted Dot to each greeting for a touch of coordinating bling!

Stampin’ Up! Apron of Love Treat Holder!

Hey there! Today I used the Apron Builder Framelits to create this tiny treat box:

I cut the apron front & back from the Berry Burst-striped print from the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I couldn't resist using the same greeting from Label Me Pretty that I used on yesterday's blog project, stamped in Berry Burst!

I used hemp twine I had on hand for the apron handles, threaded through holes punched with the 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch.

Stampin’ Up! Petal Garden Calendar!

Hey there! The final project I created with the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack is possibly my favorite, an easel calendar!

I printed off the calendar from somewhere online, cut up the months to size, and used a 2-way glue pen to layer the months together. I let the 2-way glue air-dry so it would be Post-It Note consistency. Whenever I'm ready to remove the finished month all I have to do is gently peel it away. No tearing required!

I cut the three different Petal Garden Prints with the smallest Stitched Shapes square framelit to adhere to the Whisper White layer. I embossed all three layers(Petal Garden squares, Whisper White, and Old Olive) with the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Powder. I added the Rich Razzleberry "amazing", cut with a Celebrate You Thinlet die, with tiny dots of liquid glue.

Layering the "YOU", also cut with a Celebrate You die, onto Petal Garden Designer Paper punched with the Pretty Label Punch created the perfect "stop" for the easel!

I stamped a sentiment from One Big Meaning with Rich Razzleberry ink.

I currently do not have a tutorial for this easel calendar, but I am sharing the PDF file for you to download, print, and cut apart!

Stampin’ Up! Mini Gusseted Treat Bag!

Hey there! How are you doing today? Are you staying warm if you live in the Northern Hemisphere? It's been frigidly cold here for over a week, and they are saying we are going to get some "winter mix", freezing rain, ice tomorrow night, so winter is officially here!

I've been under the weather for the past week with a pretty nasty cold. I'm slowly on the mend, but haven't been accomplishing as much as I would like/need to. Before Christmas I had a few days of glorious play with new Sale-a-bration and Occasions Catalog stuff. A fun 3-D I made was this gusseted treat bag made with the Mini Treat Bag Die and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper:

Isn't this just the cutest thing? The Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper colors of Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, and Basic Gray are so bright and happy! This designer series paper is only available as a free item when you spend $50, but I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Dies and Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies, which are both available to order. The two combined will be more than enough to qualify for the free DSP!

I used Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Lemon Lime Twist card stock and Silver Foil and Silver Glimmer Paper for the embellishment pieces.

The addition of the gusseted sides makes this a roomy little box. I filled it with some silver ready shreddie from the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie pack on page 13 of the Occasions Catalog.

The bottom sides of the bag are not completely attached, so this bag is reserved for light-but-yummy treats, like a chocolate bar or a bag of Skittles!
