Stampin’ Up! Hey Chick Cookie Package Toppers!

Stampin’ Up! Hey Chick Cookie Package Toppers!

Hey there! I realized today that I hadn't shared with you the favor I handed out to everyone at Chicks & Chocolate a couple of weeks ago,  homemade chocolate chip cookies in cute Hey Chick packaging!

Stampinupheychickcarolpaynestamps5

My grand-daughter, Maddie Kate, who loves to bake, made the chocolate chip cookies. I put each one in a Gusseted Cellophane Bag, folded down the top, then clipped them closed with a clothespin decorated with chicks!

Stampinupheychickcarolpaynestamps6

Each chick, chicken, or hatching egg was heat embossed with white powder on Basic Black cardstock. I hand-cut them out with Paper Snips, which actually didn't take very long. I adhered each one to a hand-cut banner of Real Red Designer Series Paper with Stampin' Dimensionals, then added another hand-snipped banner stamped with a Hey Chick phrase.

Stampinupheychickcarolpaynestamps7

I attached the banners to the clothespins with Stampin' Dimensionals, and adhered the chicks and banners with dimensionals too. This was a quick and easy way to package the cookies and everyone loved both the cookies and the re-usable package clip!

The "Tina Turner" chick took a little bit more fussy-cutting than the others, but it was worth it!

Stampin’ Up! Large Letters Banner!

Stampin’ Up! Large Letters Banner!

Hey there! As many of you probably already know, my oldest daughter is Jessica Hollis of Jessica Hollis Photography. I've created a birthday banner for a little boy's birthday photo shoot for the past few years. This year's birthday was Lego- themed, so I used Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Cucumber Crush:

Stampinuplargenumbersbannercarolpayestamps1

A perk of being the photographer's mom: these furry-background pics are from her camera!

Stampinuplargenumbersbannercarolpaynestamps2

I used the Large Letters Framelits Dies to cut the "FIVE" letters.

Stampinuplargenumbersbannercarolpaynestamps3

I cut banner points with Paper Snips, embossed with the Large Polka Dot folder to resemble Lego blocks, and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampinuplargenumbersbannercarolpaynestamps4

I cut a "5" for each end banner using Large Number Framelits Dies.

I added  reinforcement on the backside of each hole before threading the twine. I created them by punching a small hole with a 1/4" circle punch, then punching a 1/2" circle around the first hole. I adhered with liquid glue.

A simple project that you can order most of the supplies from my online store! http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Stampin’ Up! High Tide Calendar!

Stampin’ Up! High Tide Calendar!

Hey there! Tonight is the first night of my "Chicks & Chocolate" Open House! I still have some things on my "to do" list, so I'll try to keep this short!

My project today is the stand-up calendar I created for my "Early Bird" RSVP gift. I used High Tide with the Woodgrain folder to create my gift inspired by a design by Billie Moan:

Stampin_up_high_tide_calendar_carolpaynestamps1

I used a traditionally nautical color combo of Dapper Denim, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla, sponging the raised Woodgrain design with Crumb Cake as well as the edges oft the tag.

Stampin_up_high_tide_calendar_carolpaynestamps2

I tied Very Vanilla Thick Baker's twine in nautical-inspired knots to finish to top of the tag!

Stampin_up_high_tide_calendar_carolpaynestamps3

The stand-up easel is stabilized with the folded addition between the front and back.

Stampin_up_high_tide_calendar_carolpaynestamps4

The back side has a pocket that fits a 3" x 3" Post-It Note pad perfectly!

Stampin_up_high_tide_carolpaynestamps5

If you are one of the first 20 people to have RSVP'd for Chicks & Chocolate, you now know what your gift looks like!

Stampin’ Up! Peekaboo Hey Chick Again!

Stampin’ Up! Peekaboo Hey Chick Again!

Hey there! In addition to the card I shared with you yesterday swapped by Joanne, she also demonstrated how to make it and then we all got to make one!

Of course, we did a different color combo and used punches instead of framelits to create the "peekaboo" holes!

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps1

We stamped off the Smokey Slate ink on the "chicken wire" stamp from Butterfly Basics to go behind the Hey Chick images.

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps2

Just like the peekaboo card I shared with you yesterday, when you open it, the middle panel pulls back to reveal the  innermost images.

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps3

I love that little just-cracking egg!

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps4

A little Clear Wink of Stella lends the perfect egg-y shimmer!

Stampin_up_hey_chick_carolpaynestamps5

Hey Chick is now available to choose as a Sale-a-bration freebie for every $50 you order!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop December Edition Punch Art!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop December Edition Punch Art!

Hey there! Busy, busy December! Parties, craft fairs, school programs, church musicals, shopping, wrapping, decorating, baking!

Take a break from Christmas chaos! Take the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop December Edition, Punch Art!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

I created my tag with the Fox Builder Punch, Jolly Hat Builder Punch (retiring January 3rd but ON SALE 40% off in Year-End Closeouts!),  and A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack to match a cute magnetic notepad found at my local dollar store:

Stampin_up_foxy_friends_carolpaynestamps1
I used Basic Black, Whisper White, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to pull it all together.

Stampin_up_foxy_friends_carolpaynestamps3

After stamping with the Foxy Friends fox image three times with Calypso Coral ink I punched out each piece with the Fox Builder Punch, assembling with glue dots and dimensionals.

Stampin_up_foxy_friends_carolpynestamps4

I cut the greeting from Stitched With Cheer with a Stitched Shapes Framelit, available again on January 19th.

I punched to top with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and tied with Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon.
