Stampin’ Up! Technique Tuesday with Delightful Day!

Stampin’ Up! Technique Tuesday with Delightful Day!

Hey there! I'm starting a new series on my blog!

Technique Tuesday

Today's technique is "Rubber Band Stamping"!

Rubber Band Stamping is easy! All you need is a clear block, rubber bands, and ink!

Stampin_up_delightful_day_carolpaynestamps1

First I wrapped three bands around Clear Block C, keeping them flat against the block.

Stampin_up_rubber_band_technique_carolpaynestamps1

I wrapped three more cross-wise.

Stampin_up_rubber_band_technique_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped with Seaside Spray randomly over the white, then turned the block over and stamped with Night of Navy.

Stampin_up_rubber_band_technique_carolpaynestamps3

I finished by wrapping Clear Block A with smaller bands, then stamping with Mint Macaron.

Stampin_up_rubber_band_technique_carolpaynestamps4

I cut the layer into three 1 1/4" pieces, layered onto Crumb Cake, then embossed with the Corrugated folder.

BONUS: this is another cool and easy technique called INLAID EMBOSSSING.

Stampin_up_rubber_band_technique_carolpaynestamps5

I finished the card with a tag punched with the new Delightful Tag Topper Punch!

Inside I used a sentiment from Country Home.

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes!

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes!

Hey there! Today I'm playing with the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper, but this time I'm using the Silhouette Scenes Bundle of stamps and dies that are together in the See A Silhouette Suite. This card came together very quickly!

This fabulous tree is the star of the show! I chose this gorgeous Blueberry Bushel design from the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper to give the look of a night sky because I wanted to highlight the magnificent tree silhouette cut with a Sweet Silhouette die from Basic Black card stock.

Stampin_up_silhouette_scenes_carolpaynestamps1

I adhered the tree to the front with tiny dots of liquid glue. I only dotted the glue on the tips of the branches and the branch stems themselves. It would drive me bonkers to try to put a dot of glue on every leaf!

I stamped the greeting from Silhouette Scenes with black ink, then punched with the Darling Label Punch.

Stampin_up_silhouette_scenes_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I stamped the couple from Silhouette Scenes with black ink, and used a sentiment from the Darling Label Punch Box stamps set, also in black ink. This couple reminds me so much of our soon-to-be bride & groom, Logan & Faith!

Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds and Over the Moon for Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds and Over the Moon for Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing swaps created with two very fun but different new stamp sets, Above the Clouds and Over the Moon! I don't own these sets, but because I swap with other demonstrators, I have actual samples to share with you and the stampers who attend my events!

First, Cindy Ewertz' creation features the Above the Clouds bundle of stamps and punch with Pretty Peacock as the major color.

Stampin_up_above_the_clouds_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Wendy Lee also used the Above the Clouds bundle with a Stitched Shapes die and Subtle 3-D Embossing Folder to create her easel card.

Stampin_up_above_the_clouds_carolpaynestamps2

Switching to Over the Moon, Kathy Johnson paired this happy heifer with the Pinewood Planks 3-D folder and new In Color Rococo Rose for her "udderly fantastic" creation. She used a Well Written die to cut out the "thanks", and Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon  to pull it all together.

Stampin_up_over_the_moon_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, Karen Kurz  paired Over the Moon with the Well Said stamp set and Well Written Dies for her swap. Those cute little flowers in the middle are actually Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins!

Stampin’ Up! Praiseworthy Prose!

Stampin’ Up! Praiseworthy Prose!

Hey there! I love the Hand-lettered Prose Dies! The word possibilities are endless!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps1

I cut the letters from Magnolia Lane Designer Paper.

I cut "hap" with one pass through the machine, then cut the "py". Easy!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps11

My first creation uses the negative of the letters:

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps7

I layered  Magnolia Lane over Petal Pink card base to make the letters "pop"!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps8

I heat embossed the Well Said "ANNIVERSARY" with Shimmer Black Powder on a 3/4" strip of Petal Pink, adding a tiny bow from Bird Ballad Trinkets.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps9

Inside I used another Well Said phrase, adding a bloom from Magnolia Lane cut with a Magnolia Memory die. The heart is from Praiseworthy Prose, colored with a Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps10

My second card uses the positive letters popped up on a stamped Petal Pink layer with snippets of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the background layer with a Praiseworthy Prose "definition" phrase using Petal Pink ink. I found a Frosted Flower embellishment was the perfect color to match, then added a single rhinestone for sparkle.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps4

I stacked all of the sentiments from both cards on the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Seaside Spray!

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Seaside Spray!

Hey there! Before I put the Everything Amazing stamp set away, I wanted to make one more card, at least for now. I decided to go with a more traditional route than I did with my previous two samples, so I went with a Monochromatic  color combo of Seaside Spray, Whisper White, and a touch of Night of Navy:

Stampin_up_everything_amazing_carolpaynestamps1-1

After dry-embossing the background layer with the Tufted 3-D folder, I heat-embossed the main focal image with Shimmer White embossing powder. I added "WISHING YOU AN" and "BIRTHDAY" with Night of Navy ink.

Stampin_up_everything_amazing_carolpaynestamps2-1

I love the sparkle in the Shimmer White embossing powder. It's kind of like mixing white e.p. with Dazzling Diamonds!

Stampin_up_everything_amazing_carolpaynestamps3-1

I used the Stitched Nested Label dies to cut the front and inside layers. I stamped a sentiment from Well Said, then flanked it with a floral image from  Everything Amazing.

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray Daisy Lane!

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray Daisy Lane!

Hey there! Today I have another Daisy Lane/Stitched Lace card to share with you. I modified my June Stampers Dozen Blog Hop card to fit my supplies on hand so I could take it to my Cozy Table Class this afternoon:

Stampin_up_daisy_lane_carolpaynestamps7

I decided to stamp and sponge the daisy layers with Seaside Spray this time!

Stampin_up_daisy_lane_carolpaynestamps9

I heat embossed the greeting from A Little Lace with new Shimmer White embossing powder.

Stampin_up_daisy_lane_carolpaynestamps10

I stamped-off the floral image from A Little Lace with Seaside Spray ink before stamping the sentiment, also from A Little Lace, with Night of Navy.

Stampin_up_daisy_lane_carolpaynestamps11

Up close. I'm starting to think Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose are my two favorites of the new In Colors. What are your favorite(s)?
