Stampin’ Up! Under the Tree and New Weekly Deals!

Hey there! Seems like all it's done around here is rain, gray skies, rain, gray skies, over and over. Pretty dreary, so I thought a cheery card is in order:

Stampin_up_under_the_tree - Copy

I received this card, created by Cathy Stephenson, in the November swap. Cathy's use of the 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1", and 3/4" Circle punches make this a quick and easy card!

The tree is layered on a Whisper White background  embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions folder. The stars coordinates perfectly with the patterns in the Under the Tree Specialty Paper circles.

The "merry christmas" is from the no longer available Hostess set Good Greetings, but you could easily substitute a greeting from Endless Wishes photopolymer to get the same sentiment.

A Silver Glimmer Paper star cut with one of the Star Framelits tops the tree. LOVE it!

Here's your shopping list for this card. All the items listed are available to order today in my Online Store:    www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

While you are there, check out the new Weekly Deals.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Ticket Giftcardholder and a Resolution.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Ticket Giftcardholder and a Resolution.

Whoa. I just stopped and checked my blog and found out I haven't posted since New Year's Eve! How could that happen? I'm SO SORRY!

It's not that I haven't been stamping. I've been stamping, and sharing at workshops, alot. It's not that I didn't get well from my sickiness around New Years, I'm doing great. It's not that I didn't travel to Orlando for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference, had a great time, learned TONS and brought back beautiful inspiration and ideas!

It seems like I go along posting pretty regularly for awhile, and then one day I miss a day of posting. That seems to derail my blogging "voice" and it's hard to get back to it.

I don't usually make New Year's resolutions and while it's a little late for that, my resolution for 2013 is to blog EVERY DAY. Think I can make it? We'll see. Now that I've shared my resolution, I am now accountable to YOU.

I have made a few changes this month. I've started a new organization system to try to keep myself on track better. It's helping, I think. "Blogging Daily" needs to be added to that list.

A rather significant but also delightful change is that I've started keeping my 5 1/2 month-old grandson, Liam, 2-3 days a week. At his house. At least most of the time. So I have to think more deliberately about my "To Do" list and take stuff with me. Sometimes I take the right stuff, sometimes I don't. But the upside is that Liam is an adorable, bright, snuggly little sweetheart that I am absolutely in love with and am enjoying every minute in his presence! How do girls with little ones juggle being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator too? Guess I'm getting a tiny taste of that.

So changes. Change is usually good, sometimes painful, but often for the better. Here's my first creative share for 2013:

A fun mix of current and new products on this one! I used the Occasions set, "That's the Ticket" that I actually received last September during my Founder's Circle tour of the Stampin' Up! stamp manufacturing plant in Kanab, Utah. The "happy VALENTINE'S DAY" was stamped in Versamark ink  and then embossed with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss Powder and my Heat Tool. It was then punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. I added a tiny knot of 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, a Vintage Trinket pin, and a Very Vanilla Flower Trim flower with Glue Dots. The heart was cut with a Hearts Framelit and dry embossed with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder and the Big Shot.

Here's the inside:

I CASED the construction design for this project from this swap I received at Leadership from Judy Garza:

Garza 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Isn't it gorgeous? Judy used the Occasions set, "Just Married" with Pool Party colors and Silver Glimmer Paper! (btw, you can get a free package of Silver Glimmer paper just for hosting a $150 party from now through March 22!)

Judy's design would be perfect for a giftcard for the happy couple!

I do love it when I can take a design and stretch it for another occasion!

That's all for today. I apologize for my wordiness, but I hope I've made up for it by showing you two projects instead of just one!

Now to get busy finishing my prep for my "Best of Birthdays" class tomorrow afternoon (still have a couple of seats left!) and my "Yes Mam!" Downline Meeting tomorrow night!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Festive & Fun Valentine!

Festive & Fun Valentine!

As I promised you yesterday, here's a valentine using another stamp from Festive & Fun!

Festive & fun valentine 3

and the inside:

Festive and fun valentine 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

Supplies used

Stamps: Festive & Fun (#123742-wood, #123744-clear), Grateful Greetings (#116511 -wood only)

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper (the Melon Mambo intricate doily behing the "be my Valentine" greeting is cut from one of the two doily sheets included in the Flirtatious Paper Pack), Silver Glimmer Paper

Ink: Staz-on Black, Melon Mambo & Wisteria Wonder Stampin' Write Markers

Accessories: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 3/8"  Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon, Heart to Heart Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL adhesive

As I did with the card yesterday, I stamped the "be my Valentine" image in Staz-on Black so I can use my markers in any color, regardless of how light the ink may be, without worrying that the outline of the image will smear or bleed.

That's all for today. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another project to show you!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stamingrox" day!
