Stampin’ Up! Painted Blooms Kind & Cozy!

Hey there! Brrrr, it's cold here this morning! We had a cold rain yesterday, followed by cold, windiness! It's under 50 degrees right now, but from what I hear it will be in the 90's by the end next week! That's Southern Illinois weather for ya!

Today's card from the Painted Blooms class uses Kind & Cozy, a set that will be retiring in less than two weeks!

Inside I used one of the teeny-tiny butterflies from Papillon Potpourri and a sentiment from the soon-retiring Hostess set, Hello There:

I stamped the same butterfly with Pool Party on Soft Sky card stock before punching with the Bitty Butterfly punch:

These cards are just so stinkin' cute and easy!

Stampin’ Up! In Color Zoo Babies!

Hey there! Sunday I attended a baby shower. Typical for me prepped the gift just before I walked out the door. I keep solid-color gift bags on hand so I can use them for any event, then add a card to the front to make it special:

I used Zoo Babies stamps and new 2015-2017 In Color inks to create this card in a jiffy!

Delightful Dijon makes a perfect giraffe and will be awesome with fall leaves! Tip Top Taupe for the elephant, Cucumber Crush for the alligator and a splash of Watermelon Wonder for the bird. The greeting, "a gift for baby" is also in the set, which saved me A LOT of time!

I cut out this fun group with Circles Collection Framelits.

I used new Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper for the background, and a Bermuda Bay card base.

Inside the "congratulations" is also included in the set.

I attached a Medium Clear Envelope to the front of the inexpensive gift bag with Stampin' Dimensionals. A card and an embellishment all in one! yay!

Using Zoo Babies and the new 2015-2017 In Colors helped me create the card, embellish the bag, and get out the door in less than a hour!

Although you have to wait until June 2nd to order new In Colors and Cherry on Top paper,there's lots of goodies still on the Retiring List, Weekly Deals, and the Clearance Rack!

Stampin’ Up! In Color Zoo Babies!

I used Zoo Babies stamps and new 2015-2017 In Color inks to create this card in a jiffy!

I cut out this fun group with Circles Collection Framelits.

I used new Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper for the background, and a Bermuda Bay card base.

Inside the "congratulations" is also included in the set.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday Again!

Hey there! This morning while I was sitting in the worship service I remembered I HAD FORGOTTEN TO PUT MY SUNDAY DINNER IN THE OVEN. I was baking a lasagna AND another dish. The lasagna needed to cook longer, so I put it in first, planning to pop in the other one just before I headed out the door, but then I completely forgot! Fortunately I live about 5 minutes from church, so I was able to slip out during the offering, drive home, put the dish in the oven, and drive back. I slipped back into my seat just as our pastor started his sermon.Yikes!

Monday and Tuesday I will be babysitting at my daughter's house again, so I am actually prepping this blog post on Sunday night. I sleep over the night before I babysit, which works great because I get to sleep longer and my daughter doesn't have to worry that a driving delay might make me (and her) run late! There are THREE railroad crossings between my house and hers.

So without further ado, we have Sunday Swap Day on Monday again:

I will be continuing to babysit for my daughter's little ones through the end of May. Her school year ends June 1st. Her husband's work schedule as a nurse is different every week, so some days I will be able to post and some days I won't. PLEASE don't give up on me! I'm hoping to be able to start scheduling my blog posts a week ahead of time so there will be a new project for you every day. But you know what they say about "the best laid plans . . ."!
