Stampin’ Up! Fall Review!

Stampin’ Up! Fall Review!

Hey there! My youngest son is moving back home so he can save money while getting his degree to teach High School English, so I am taking this first couple of days of the week to hunker down and get his room ready. You know how after your kids move out you just start using their room as a catch-all? Maybe you didn't do that, but I did and boy now I sure regret it. Everything in there has to either be re-stored somewhere else in my house, given away, or thrown away, and it's a big job!

Since I'm almost caught up with sharing my stamping creations and have no time to make more right now, I've decided to do a "fall review" of some of my favorite projects. I do have a couple of new ones, but they are connected to a Stampin' Up! promotion that starts tomorrow, so I will start sharing those on Tuesday.

To start off, I'm reaching all the way back to August 25th to share my Boho Indigo Embossed Strips Background. I used the Boho Indigo Product Medley and added Whisper White and Misty Moonlight card stock of my own. You can view the full post HERE.

Next, my Beautiful Autumn card from September 2nd. View the entire post HERE.

Next, everybody loved my Peaceful Nativity Diorama card. Get the details & dimensions HERE.

I loved creating this simple Birds & Branches for Christmas card. Get the details HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026be4113c75200d-450wi

I knew I hadn't played with the Country Home stamp set enough, so I created this card HERE.

6a00e54f70aa808833026bde92fdd6200c-450wi

I shrank the diorama dimensions to create this Snow Front Diorama that will fit in a Medium Envelope! Get the dimensions and details HERE.

That's all for today. I think I will save the rest of my favorites for another day. If you want to see more, you can always scroll through my blog and decide for yourself which ones are your favorites. I plan to be back tomorrow with a new creation, so be sure to come back!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 1st!

Hey there! Hope you weren't too messed up by the "falling back" we did last night. I like "falling back" in the fall a lot better than "falling forward" in the spring! Which one do you like better?

Today I'm starting off with the tri-fold card by Kathy Johnson with the Dove of Hope Bundle:

Stampin_up_dove_of_hope_carolpaynestamps1

Kathy also used a die from the World Map dies on the center fold:

Inside:

Stampin_up_trimming_the_town_starlight_circle_carolpaynestamps7

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Hey there! Today's card was created with the Peaceful Nativity Bundle.  I found an old swap while I was cleaning the other day and  decided to re-create with new colors, stamps, and accessories:

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity2

I used Blackberry Bliss for my card base and the strip I embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. After embossing I brayered over the embossed images with White Craft Ink. I decided the white was overpowering the design, so I removed some of the ink from the raised areas by lightly swiping with a baby wipe. I just had to let it dry for a bit before adding any adhesive. I really like the look!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity3

After gold heat-embossing the Holy Family on Shimmery White, I punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I punched a second label from gold Brushed Metallic card stock, cut it in half, to add to the back of the label. I cut the star from the same gold Brushed Metallic with a Nativity Die.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity4

I gold heat-embossed the greeting and added three Gilded Gems.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity5

Here's a paper-saving trick: I conserved my gold Brushed Metallic card stock by cutting 1/2" strips the length I needed to adhere to the edges of the front embossed strip and to the inside layer!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity6

Dimensions:

Blackberry Bliss card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded 4 1/4"  embossed strip: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Brushed Metallic (gold) strips:   1/2" x 5 1/2" (need 2 front), 1/2" x 4 3/4" (need 2 inside)  to punch label:  3" x 3" to cut star: scrap

Shimmery White for focal image label: 3" x 3"    inside sentiment: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity Bridge Card!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity Bridge Card!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a  "bridge" card,  created with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer paper I used here.

I created this card before I discovered Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder retired, so please substitute Night of Navy or any color you choose in your mind's eye!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps1

I will include the dimensions for this "bridge-fold" at the bottom of this post along with a link to my free directions.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps2

The Nativity Dies make cutting out the Peaceful Nativity images a snap!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps6

I love the way the Nativity star die cuts and embosses at the same time!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps5

I punched the ends of the greeting strip with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, then dragged the edges directly on the Versamark pad before heat embossing.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps7

I added a layer to the center of the back for signature. This card folds flat to fit into a medium envelope!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity_bridge_carolpaynestamps8

Dimensions:

Card Base: 8 1/4" x 4 1/4" , scored at 1 3/8", 2 3/4", 5 1/2", and 6 7/8"

Side panels: 1 1/8" x 4" – need two
