Stampin’ Up! Many Hearts Dies for Wedding Shower Cards!

Stampin’ Up! Many Hearts Dies for Wedding Shower Cards!

Hey there! I recently needed to make wedding shower cards for two showers, so I decided to share both of them with you today!

I used the Lots of Heart Bundle of stamps and dies to create these:

I created this card with the retiring Rococo Rose In Color.  Currently you can't order the card stock, but you can order the ink pad and ink refill (which I highly recommend you order the ink refills for ANY of the 2019-2021 In Colors that you have the ink pads)

The focal image is three hearts, all cut with the Many Hearts Dies: silver, Rococo Rose, and then the stamped gingham Rococo Rose heart.

I stamped the greeting from Oval Occasions on the white layer first before embossing with the Parisian Flourish 3D folder. I added a Rococo Rose Pastel Pearl as a finishing touch.

I used a sentiment from Forever Blossoms on the inside:

I used Misty Moonlight for this card, accenting it with Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones.

I only used two heart layers for this one:

And used the same Forever Blossoms sentiment. It's perfect to go with a wedding shower gift!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Flourish Nativity!

Hey there! Today's card was created with the Peaceful Nativity Bundle.  I found an old swap while I was cleaning the other day and  decided to re-create with new colors, stamps, and accessories:

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity2

I used Blackberry Bliss for my card base and the strip I embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. After embossing I brayered over the embossed images with White Craft Ink. I decided the white was overpowering the design, so I removed some of the ink from the raised areas by lightly swiping with a baby wipe. I just had to let it dry for a bit before adding any adhesive. I really like the look!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity3

After gold heat-embossing the Holy Family on Shimmery White, I punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I punched a second label from gold Brushed Metallic card stock, cut it in half, to add to the back of the label. I cut the star from the same gold Brushed Metallic with a Nativity Die.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity4

I gold heat-embossed the greeting and added three Gilded Gems.

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity5

Here's a paper-saving trick: I conserved my gold Brushed Metallic card stock by cutting 1/2" strips the length I needed to adhere to the edges of the front embossed strip and to the inside layer!

Stampin_up_peaceful_nativity6

Dimensions:

Blackberry Bliss card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded 4 1/4"  embossed strip: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Brushed Metallic (gold) strips:   1/2" x 5 1/2" (need 2 front), 1/2" x 4 3/4" (need 2 inside)  to punch label:  3" x 3" to cut star: scrap

Shimmery White for focal image label: 3" x 3"    inside sentiment: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stampin’ Up! Faux Cracked Glass with Country Road!

Stampin’ Up! Faux Cracked Glass with Country Road!

Hey there! I combined retiring stamps Crackle Paint and Country Roads with a Faux Cracked Glass technique for a masculine, shabby chic card!

Stampin_up_country_road_carolpaynestamps1

I used the "faux cracked glass" technique for the star embellishment.

Stampin_up_country_road_carolpaynestamps2

The original Cracked Glass technique consists of covering a stamped image with multiple layers of clear embossing, then freezing for a few minutes to be able to "crack" the embossed layers when removed from the freezer. I wanted to get the cracked glass look without all of the time it takes to emboss multiple layers.  I stamped the star image with Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla, then stamped over it with the retiring Crackle Paint stamp using stamped-off Gray Granite ink. I only added ONE layer of clear embossing, punched with a 1 1/2" Circle Punch and sponged the edges with Gray Granite ink. MUCH easier and less time-consuming!

Stampin_up_country_road_carolpaynestamps4

The only drawback to this "faux cracked glass" technique is the Crackle Paint stamp is retiring with the end of the current Annual Catalog (June 2nd). If you want to try this faux technique for yourself you need to order Crackle Paint SOON. All retiring stamps are only guaranteed to be available through May 22nd. I added a retiring antique gold Designer Element (they are discounted 30%! right now!) to the center to complete the look.
