Stampin’ Up! Halloween Monster Montage!
My son Logan likes to drink those "energy" drinks, especially when he is driving the 3 hours home from college. Last weekend he came in with an empty nifty green "Ubermonster" Energy Brew bottle. When he asked me how did I want him to throw it away since it was glass I told him I wanted it for my blog. He thought I was crazy, but this is what I did:
I call it my "Monster Montage"! It's not my usual style, but I'm diggin' it!
I thought I had found a Circle Thinlet card similar to this one last week when I was blog surfing, but I didn't save it, not even to Pinterest, and now I can't find it anywhere, not even when I Google for it, so I just went ahead and made my own version. Did I just dream I saw this card? Sometimes I DO dream I'm stamping, so maybe so!
I used Basic Black and Old Olive cardstock with the Circle Card Thinlet Die. The eyes were made with the 1 3/4" and 1" Circle Punches. Mr. Frankenstein's hair was cut with the Tasteful Trim Die, and his "bolts" are Basic Black Glimmer Brads. The light in his eyes is with the White Chalk Marker. I like the Chalk Marker almost better than the White Gel Pen when I need a thicker line of white.
The greeting is from Halloween Hello in the Holiday Catalog, punched with the Hexagon Punch and matted on a Basic Black Hexagon-punched layer.
When you open the card you see the rest of his "smile" and when the Circle Card "flips" you see the "it's all about the candy", also from Halloween Hello.
I decorated Logan's "ubermonster" bottle with a tag that I cut with a Chalk Talk Framelit from Brushed Silver cardstock for the bottom layer, then one of the designs from the Witches' Brew Designer Paper on top. "For You" is a stamp from the Chalk Talk set, black heat-embossed on Gumball Green cardstock, punched with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch, then layered on a Basic Black Label Bracket. It is adhered to the tag with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals.
The tag is tied to the bottle with Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon. I added a Basic Black Glimmer Brad to the ribbon at the base of the tag to cinch it up and for a little extra bling.
That's all for now! Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my "Monster Montage"!
